Jaco

Jaco is an anthropomorphic rabbit creature that resides on the same floor of Nazarick as Erebec. His ears stand very tall and he has full muscle control over them, preferring to keep them flopped over, but perfectly capable of keeping them at their unnerving full height if he wants to. He is only vaguely humanish in that he is bipedal, has two arms, and his neck supports him as a humans would.

His eyes are black and have no iris, seeming glassy and of the void. His coat color seems to shift in odd ways depending on the lighting. When in full sun, it appears buttercup yellow with light orange highlights that can be seen when the light reflects on the individual hairs. When in the shade, the yellow color seems to disappear with burnt orange taking it’s place, and in true dark, like at night, his fur gives the illusion of being a deep, bloody red. If a light it shines on it however, that color of blood will show to actually be it’s cheery yellow.

-His fuzzy nose is a cute light pink color and his whiskers are a tawny pattern.

-He’ll never admit it under torture or otherwise, but he absolutely adores getting head scratches. If someone he utterly trusts and adores starts to run their fingers through his head fur, he’ll melt in their lap (coils) and push his head further into their hand in silent encouragement to start scratching.

Don’t mention it to anyone though, or else you personally won’t catch a glimpse of him for weeks unless he’s under orders to interact directly with you. Even if everyone at his level is called together and you’re there, he will stay completely hidden while attending and the person hosting will still sense he’s there and just continue the meeting as if this is normal. For shits sake, you can sense he’s there, it’s just petty at this point that he only visually hides. (He’s not really mad though, just making a point)

-Jaco’s personality is straight cruel in general, causing him to have an unlikeable personality to most. This is not all there is to him though and so those that get to know and befriend him care greatly for him and his well-being.

He likes to verbally bully the workers of Nazarick that he deems dumb or weak, and often gets complaints brought against him by the managing workers for reducing their underlings to tears. This gets him regular reprimands from the higher-ups.

He actually doesn’t really maim  people and creatures that often though outside of recreation, only taking a swipe or crushing them if they are either in his way, useless, or all of the above as well as not mentally aware enough for him to count them as sentient.

If it’s a being like the battle maids or a floor guardian other then Erebec reprimanding him, he'll act like they’re a joke, giving off with his every act and word that he sees them as a silly little thing, too dumb to understand that pointlessness of something like them attempting to scold someone like him. He will only show the bare amount of courtesy to not start a physical fight. Which is to say, he’s utterly infuriating to 99 percent of the tombs residents.

If it’s Erebec, he tends to tone down on the disrespect but is still sardonic, sarcastic, and unserious to who he considers his friend. His creator on the other hand, he holds an unshakable respect for, and will listen as she speaks, making mental notes on how to not ‘disturb her with something this stupid again’ (his thoughts). He acts similarly with all the supreme beings, but does not hold the same care or deep devotion for them as he does for her. He still will obey them if they give direct orders, but will ignore hinting or insinuations of direction.

-When he irritates someone stronger than him enough for them to get after him he’ll give them the run around, leading them on a fruitless chase as he tricks and cajoles them into further rage. This past-time of his is largely aided by his remarkable speed, the fastest of the tomb in a sprint not aided by outside influences such as spells and items.

This chase will inevitably end wherever his creator is at the time, as he knows he’s one of her favorites and that she’ll not let anyone hit him while he hides in her arms or hitches a ride on her back.

These situations often appear quite comical even though his creator is a remarkably large naga, as Jaco is six feet tall, and it simply doesn’t look right for anyone of his size to cling the way he does.

Jaco always seems to know exactly where his creator is. This is because he does know, exactly, where she is at all times. When she was creating him, she gifted him a sort of homing beacon so that he would always be able to find her, so that if he was ever legitimately lost in a strange place, he would always be able to find his way back to her.

He really adores this ability of his for some reason, maybe because it makes him feel closer to his creator?

If his creator is not anywhere near where he is, he’ll simply disappear as if he was never there once the chase is no longer of any interest. He disappears quite often actually, and is excellent at unaided stealth, though he is able to cast a number of spells that would help him with that if he wanted them.

No one except his creator, a few of the supreme beings, and possibly Albedo are really aware of where he goes when no one can find him. It’s a number of places really, but the main place is a sort of pocket space, much like the treasury in that it requires a special item to access. The thing is that only his creator knows exactly how to make the items necessary, due to it being her personal dwelling.

The access item for her space takes the form of a small green spherical gem, which before it can be activated, has to be embedded into the recipient and keyed to their magic. If forcibly removed from the intended user, the gem loses all properties of teleportation and shatters.

-He was gifted one of the only two gems she’d ever made the first time she’d taken him to her zone, shortly after she finished the areas creation. She gave it to him, and not Erebec. She gave it to him. (Jaco may have been a bit euphoric/obsessedly manic over  it at the time)

Her domain, as she described to him, was a bit of a tribute to her home where she resided in the world of her people, though she said it was only in the loosest sense.

-The teleportation point drops whichever one of them enters in the center of it, in a lush meadow filled with soft grass and a large scattered variety of wildflowers. When creating it, she’d chosen to populate the meadow with constructs in the form of butterflies, bees, and spiders of many different shapes, sizes, and colors.

Past the meadow are two different areas on opposite sides, a jungle with towering trees and beautiful canopies, and a swamp with fathomless depths and underwater caves. The swamp appears as an ordinary one above the surface, with construct alligators and thick shade that enhances the ever present twilight into true night. You would never know how deep the water is just by looking at it due to its murky nature, and it’s temperature is a comfortable cool verging on lukewarm.

The trees are draping here and she added a whole ecosystem of constructs over the years along with the alligators, causing the area to appear to term with life and the sounds of bugs. She herself though, is the only snake like thing you’ll ever find here.

Her pocket zone became one of his favorite places to be when he wasn’t working, with it’s perpetually twilight sky one of the most beautiful sights he’d ever seen. The colors of an eternal sunset still streaking across her fabricated landscape were accompanied nicely by the faint glimmering stars that always looked like they were just about to brighten up.
