welcome to my ficWell, to start, I need to point out a few things. First of all, English is not my first language, so I'm sorry for my mistakes. Second, this is my first time writing so I'm not promising anything too big, but I promise I'll do my best. I hope you like it. = )

The first full moon - part 1

29 days had passed, Regulus had counted all 696 hours, he watched the hands of the clock moving in extreme anguish every day, from the time he woke up to the time he went to sleep. And finally the day arrived, his first full moon, all this time he tried to ignore it without success whenever he woke up or was still his mind betrayed him and made him think about it, his anxiety making him suffer in advance.

During this time he became even more distant from everyone, not interacting with anyone more than necessary. He had managed to make Severus angry with himself, last Friday he had argued over something stupid, but he knew he would have to try harder, no matter how angry Severus was with him it would soon pass. And as for Sirius, he simply ignored him, whenever his brother tried to stop him in the corridor or passed him a note he pretended not to see and didn't appear at the agreed times.

And as for Remus, Lupine didn't try to get any closer, they hadn't spoken again until last night when the director called him to his office to explain that he would spend the night in the screaming house. He would go there through a hidden passage in the Whomping Willow and that the next morning Madame Pomfrey would be there to tend to his injuries.

And now Regulus was sitting in the astronomy tower-after classes that day he decided it would be best not to return to the dormitory so as not to raise questions-while he waited to give the time to go to the Whomping Willow.

On the other side of the castle, in Gryffindor tower, Remus had a problem. He was trying to convince his friends that they could no longer spend full moons with him, at least for now, his excuses were running out as they were all refuted by Sirius and James.

"Please understand" he begged for the hundredth time "you can't accompany me anymore... I was something Dumbledore spoke to me on that first day, if you go you might be discovered"

"We were never discovered, we always managed to escape first" replied James and Sirius nodded in agreement.

"What's wrong Moony? Tell the truth what's going on" said Sirius sitting next to James

"Nothing's happening" Remus grunted, frustrated with the conversation already

"Want me to hold them tonight?" Peter asked using sign language "I can give them a sleeping potion and make them sleep"

"Tempting" replied Remus also using sign language, laughing "I'll try a little more, if it doesn't work we'll continue with your plan"

"What plan?" questioned Sirius, only realizing at the end the silent conversation that was taking place there "Are you a little secret now? That could be considered treason, you know Moony, firstly you don't want me with you anymore on full moons and now you're a little secret with another man" said Sirius making drama

"It's not cheating because we're not together yet, stop the drama Black" replied Remus, hearing James laugh in the background and Sirius put his hand on his chest offended "Please, I love you and I love spending full moon nights with you, but now I really need you to understand"

"Okay Moony" James felt convinced, although it was clear from Sirius' expression that they would continue arguing for him "but tomorrow, as soon as we wake up we will be at the nurse's door waiting for you"

"Thanks" said Remus smiling at his friends "I think I'll get some sleep until it's time to go"

"I'm going to go see Lilly" said James leaving the room, leaving the cocolates they had bought for Remus on the oldest's bed, that was a custom that had been acquired in third year, that year shortly after they found out about Remus , Sirius realized that he liked to eat chocolates before and on full moon days this became more pronounced and after some research he discovered that it was because the chocolates gave a little more energy and that Remus was exhausted before and after the transformation. So he, Peter and James always bought chocolates for the eldest

"See you later Monny" Peter left soon after leaving just Remus and Sirius there in the room

"Aren't you going to leave too?" asked Remus after a while of silence.

"Do you want me to leave?" Sirius returned the question

"You can stay Pads" he replied and lay down, Sirius without hesitation lay down on his side facing him and looked at him without saying a word. And Remus didn't interrupt the silence, after a while the two fell asleep and slept, until the moment Remus woke up already starting to feel the first discomforts of the transformation.

Remus left the room and went outside towards the Whomping Willow, finding Professor Minerva, Pomfrey and Regulus already waiting for them at the school exit. With the arrival of the Gryffindor the small group left, when they arrived in front of the Whomping Willow the teacher made him stop moving and let the two students go ahead, following behind them. She explained how things would work to Regulus, but Remus already knew everything by heart so he didn't bother to listen. He just sat next to Pomfrey as she left their hiding place with a loose floorboard, some weak pain potions, chocolates and a change of clothes for the two of them to wait for her to arrive the next morning. When the moon began to get close to its highest point, the two left, leaving the young students there.
