Gudako's Alter

A heavy blizzard blew through the area, a fitting atmosphere for the final battle of the Russian Lostbelt. On one side was Kadoc Zemlupus and Anastasia Nikolaevna Romanova, one of seven Crypters and his Caster servant, fighting to defend their tree. Their opposition was the last master of humanity and her most trusted servant, Gudako Fujimaru and Jeanne d’Arc Alter (Avenger). The battle dragged on, both sides forced to endure the harsh environment for what felt like hours. Eventually, Kadoc started to get pushed back so he had to make a desperate play. He gripped his wrist and raised the back of his hand, dramatically showing off his command seals. However, he wouldn’t get a chance to play that card.

“Wait! Time out!” Gudako shouts, completely stopping Kadoc and the two servants, before running over to the Crypter completely defenceless. Fortunately for her, everyone was too stunned to actually try anything.

“Get back here, idiot!” Jalter yells, getting completely ignored.

Once she reached Kadoc, she raised the back of her hand next to his. “What are you even doing?” Kadoc finally spat out, more confused than annoyed.

Suddenly, Gudako started laughing. “Oh my god, you actually are my Alter!”

Kadoc didn’t even know how to respond at this point. Literally all the tension from fighting was gone now. After calming down, Gudako noticed the confusion on Kadoc’s face and decided to explain. “Well, we’re both sub-par mages-”

“Fuck you.”

“-who were dragged into Chaldea to fill numbers and are both attracted to girls, among other things.” Gudako finishes, completely ignoring Kadoc’s vulgar remark.

“We’re nothing alike!” Kadoc shouts. “For one thing, I’m a guy and you’re a girl.”

“That doesn’t really matter. I stopped thinking so hard about that stuff ever since finding out King Arthur is a girl.” Gudako responds nonchalantly, as if she didn’t just shatter any normal person's worldview. “Besides, we’re opposites in a fundamental way.”

“That-” Kadoc sighs before giving up. “...Just hurry up so we can get back to fighting.”

Gudako puts on a pair of glasses she definitely always had and strikes a lecturing pose. ”To start simple, our command seals have a similar pattern but yours is upside down. Another thing is that, despite being on different master teams, we’re both at the bottom of them. Even our girlfriend’s powers are opposite, with mine using fire and yours using ice.”

“Quit referring to me like that!” Jalter shouts next to Gudako, having walked there during this whole thing.

“Notice how you never actually refute me when I say you’re my girlfriend.” Gudako comments in a singsong tone.

“Urgh, you’re insufferable.” Jalter grumbles as she turns her head away.

“Love you too!” Gudako says cheerfully, causing Jalter to cover her face more.

“This is so stupid…” Kadoc mumbles before getting a light blush “Besides, Anastasia isn’t even my-” Suddenly, Kadoc had a chill run down his spine. “AHH! How did I only now just get a chill down my spine!? I’ve been in this blizzard for a few hours at least!”

“Yes, it is truly curious how such a thing could happen.” Anastasia snarks with a dangerous expression on her face.

Gudako has a quick laugh at this exchange before turning to the enemy servant. “Take it from one girl with a tsundere to another, showering them with PDA is a more effective way to make them a blushing mess. Another benefit is you could get them in a maid outfit which is totally worth it.”

“Truly?” Anastasia questions, a dangerous new awakening occuring. “I suppose it couldn’t hurt to try.”

“Don’t agree with her, she’s the enemy!” Kadoc shouts with a mix of anger, embarrassment and fear.

“Yeah, let’s just get back to killing each other already!” Jalter also shouts but it’s muffled with her face still covered.

“I’m afraid it is too late for that.” Anastasia says solemnly. “Our tree has already been destroyed.”

“What?!” Kadoc and Gudako both yell at the same time. Kadoc tries grilling Gudako about it but gives up when he notices she’s just as confused as him. Wanting to investigate, the four of them head over to the now destroyed tree. When they get there, they see the white tree collapse on itself as well as a crater next to it. To the side of the crater is the Storm Border. Inside the crater lies the current director of Chaldea and the only staff member to get any relevance (because screw the other surviving staff members am I right) knelt next to him.

“Director Goredolf…” Meuniere speaks softly. “Was it truly necessary to use such a devastating move like the Goff Punch?”

“I had no choice. Fujimaru’s distraction was our one chance to end this Lostbelt easily.” Goredolf explains whilst conserving as much energy as possible. “Don’t worry, Melusine, I’ll be fine. That was only 1% of my power, after all.”

“My name is Meuniere. Just because I could also break the game doesn’t mean you can confuse me with that loli.” Meuniere states in an annoyed tone. “You always do this and it’s not funny.”

“Ok, cool.” Goredolf bluntly responds, his mind elsewhere. “Anyways, bring me back to the Storm Border and rest my head on that hot detective’s lap.”

Outside of the crater, the two masters and their respective servant (girlfriend) watch the whole scene unfold. Kadoc is the first one to break.

“How the hell did that fat guy destroy our damn tree with only one punch?!” Kadoc yells in frustration.

“Never underestimate a chaldea dad, I guess.” Gudako says, impressed with his power.

“I resent both of those remarks!” Goredolf loudly exclaims from the crater. “My physique is perfect and I’m way too young to be a dad, thank you very much!”

Gudako apologises to him while Kadoc just stands there.

“Surprised he even heard me.” Gudako mumbles to herself.

“...Now what?” Kadoc asks, gritting his teeth. “We lost, so are you going to try to kill us or something? Don’t think I’ll take it lying down though.”

“Oh, no.” Gudako responds with an innocent smile before morphing it into an ominous grin. “Much worse. You’re going straight to the madhouse along with the rest of us.”

Not even giving him a choice, she grabs his wrist and drags him to the Storm Border. Their servants followed behind, too intimidated by the power of the Goff Punch to speak. Kadoc swears he heard a voice tell him it’s hell he’s walking into but is unable to locate the source of it. Unfortunately for him, Gudako’s strength makes him unable to break free. No matter how hard he struggles, he’s here to stay. At least he still has his servant who he most definitely doesn’t have a crush on and is just too awkward to admit it.
