That One Time Dumbledore Lost All His Hair

~Two Days Later~

~Severus Snape’s POV~

Severus walked into the Great Hall for breakfast, pleased to see all the Slytherins at their table. He looked at the other side of the hall and found that most of the Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs were also at their tables, but the Gryffindor table was almost empty, only Percy Weasley was eating. Severus rolled his eyes and made his way to the Teacher's table.

Argus Filch was walking towards Severus as he sat down. He gave Argus a questioning look.

“Those three brats you assigned detention with me never showed up for their detention with me last night,” Argus said. Severus nodded and Argus went to sit back down.

~1 hour later~

Three Gryffindors finally came into the Great Hall. Severus has a slight smile on his face. He could see Draco nudging Mr. Peverell-Potter and nodding towards him. That reminds me, I must talk to both of them soon. Severus walked towards the Gryffindor table. He could tell all of the Slytherins’ eyes were on him.

“Weasley, Granger, Finnigan, care to explain why you felt skipping your detention with Filch was acceptable?” Severus asked. The trio stopped eating and slowly turned to face him.

Weasley sneered. “Why do we need to attend a detention that you assign, Snape?”

“Professor Snape!” Granger muttered angrily at Weasley.

“Well then, you have two weeks' worth of detention with myself or Filch. Gryffindor also loses 30 points each,” Severus said. He could hear the Slytherins trying to stifle their laughter.

“B-But,” Granger stuttered. Severus glared at them.

“Now Severus, don’t you think that’s a bit harsh? Just another day of detention will do,” Dumbledore said.

“No, it won’t,” Severus said, glaring at Dumbledore. “They will have two weeks of detention at 9, and if they skip a day of this one, it will be a month.” Dumbledore looked irked at that declaration. Severus glared at Dumbledore, daring him to change it.

After a few minutes, Severus hid a smirk and went back to his seat.

~A few days later - Saturday~

~Around 9:30 pm~

Severus was walking through the corridors when he smelled something burning. He looked out the window and saw Hagrid’s hut burning. Severus immediately went running towards the hut.

As he got closer, he saw three short shadows, students or Fillus, most likely students , and two people wearing hats, McGonagall and Dumbledore I presume , and a giant shadow, Hagrid. He also saw something flying. Is that a baby DRAGON??? Severus immediately cast several water charms once he got within firing distance.

“Ah, Severus, so good to see you here,” Dumbledore said before casting another water charm.

Severus looked at Dumbledore and saw that most of his beard was burned off, leaving just a bit of the once 5-foot-long train. Most of his hair was burned off as well. Hagrid has little to no hair left on him and McGonagall had the edges of her hair fringed.

Severus also took a good look at the students who were watching, only to see three familiar faces. Weasley, Granger, and Finnigan. Severus stored that information for after the fire was gone and started to cast.

~15 minutes later~

Severus, McGonagall, and Dumbledore were still casting spells at the fire when several water charms were cast behind them and a few body-binding charms as well.

Severus spun around only to find several Slytherins as well as Fillus and Ponama casting the spells. Severus turned back around and kept firing water charms at the ever-growing fire.

~20 minutes later~

After 35 minutes of casting spells to put out the fire, it was gone. Severus turned and started to glare at the Gryffindors.

“An what, do you think you are doing out here instead of inside with Filch?” He asked. The trio in question flinched.

Granger opened her mouth to try and explain, “W-we were g-going t-”

“Oh, please, the fire probably started around 9:15, meaning you were already supposed to be in detention by the time I got here,” Severus said while glaring at the trio. “You now have a month’s worth of detention added onto your two weeks and 50 points from Gryffindor, each for lying to a teacher and skipping detention, Again.”

“Now, now, Severus. There is no need to double their detention because they missed one night,” Dumbledore said. Severus glared at him. Dumbledore opened his mouth “I’m sure they could just make up their missed detention tomorrow.”

“I don’t care, they now have a month of detention on top of the ones they were already assigned,” Severus said, daring Dumbledore to contradict him. He wisely didn’t.

Severus then turned to the Slytherins by Fillus and Ponama. He saw Mr, no, Hadrian, Draco, and a couple of older years.

~Flashback - One day ago~

“Mr. Peverell -Potter, Mr. Malfoy, please stay for a moment,” Severus said. The three of them waited up the classroom was empty.

“Mr. Peverell-Potter, it has been brought to my attention that you are my godson. Hence, I was wondering if you would like to call me Severus privately,” Severus said. Draco’s eyes widened at the announcement before nodding in understanding when Mr. Peverell-Potter looked at him.

“I would be honored to. Please, call me Hadrian,” Mr. Hadrian said with a smile. Severus nodded.

~End of Flashback~

“And would you like to explain why you are out after curfew?” Severus asked. While he didn’t like punishing his snakes, he would if they were breaking the rules. He had to appear at least somewhat unbiased.

“Several students were bothered by the smell of smoke and we were asked to check it out,” Hadrian explained. Severus nodded in understanding. As King of Slytherin, if multiple people complained to him about something, it was his responsibility to deal with the situation.

“Now, how did this fire start?” Severus asked, looking at Hagrid and the retrained dragon he was petting.

Hagrid tried to explain, “Norbert didn’t mean to-”

“I don’t care what he meant to do. You, as an adult, should have called Aurors as soon as you had him. Speaking of which, where are the Aurors?” Severus asked.

“I flooed as soon as I saw the fire. Amelia said she would send some over as soon as possible,” Fillus said.

It seemed like a good time for Dumbledore to try an interrupt, again. “I’m sure calling the Aurors was unnecessary Fillus. Go back and tell them that the situation has been handled.”

“Well, clearly the situation has not been handled as all of you well know, raising dragons without a license is illegal. Meaning, someone has to be arrested,” A voice said. The crowd of students and teachers turned and saw the Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, Amelia Bones. “Since Hagrid just admitted to raising the dragon, Aurors please arrest him.”

Two Aurors immediately went straight to Hagrid and put handcuffs on him.

Dumbledore started, “Amelia-”

“Madam Bones, Headmaster Dumbledore,” Madam Bones interrupted.

Dumbledore wore a fake smile. “Madam Bones, I’m sure it isn’t necessary to have Hagrid arrested. It's all just a misunderstanding.” Madam Bones glared at Dumbledore and then ignored him.

A few Aurors came back with the dragon in hand and went back inside Hogwarts, presumably to floo the dragon to a reserve. A few minutes later, the other Aurors came back as well with Hagrid in hand and left with Madam Bones.

Severus sighed. “Slytherins, with me.” The Slytherins followed him back to the common room and Severus went to his quarters.

~The Next Day~

Severus went to the Great Hall for breakfast and noticed that Dumbledore’s hair was back. A glamor

~A few hours later~

Severus got up from the teacher’s table and started to head to his classroom to prepare for the class when he was stopped by Dumbledore.

“Severus, if you would be so kind as to give a moment of your time,” He said with a grandfatherly smile. Severus barely resisted the urge to roll his eyes.

“Yes,” He said in the most polite tone he could muster.

“I would like you to brew a hair regrowth potion for myself,” Dumbledore said. Severus nodded before leaving the Great Hall.

~The Next Day~

A few hours before the beginning of lunch, Severus gave Dumbledore the potion he requested.

~At lunch~

Severus walked into the Great Hall and looked at Dumbledore. His hair was about as long as Severus’ and was green. Severus looked towards the twin Weasleys at the Gryffindor tables only to find them chuckling. This isn’t one of their pranks. If it was, they wouldn’t be chuckling. They would be outright cackling. Severus looked towards his Slytherins only to find Hadrian and Draco with slight grins on their faces. Severus sighed and sat down in his seat.

~An hour later~

Severus watched as the mail came into the Great Hall. One owl landed in the food of their owner at the Gryffindor table.

An owl came straight towards Dumbledore with a letter with a bright red seal. Severus braced himself and Dumbledore moved for his wand, only to find it stuck to the table.

“ABLUS DUMBLEDORE! HOW DARE YOU RAISE A DRAGON NEAR MY POOR SWEET PENOLPE! YOUR FAVORITISM WITH THAT HALF-GIANT IS OVER! I WILL HAVE HIM FIRED IF ITS THE LAST THING I DO! HOW DARE YOU ENDANGER STUDENTS, NOT ONCE BUT TWICE! RAISING A DRAGON NEAR CHILDREN! YOUR GROUNDSKEEPER DOESN’T EVEN AN OWL! WHY IS HE EVEN ON SCHOOL GROUND!? ALSO, I WILL ENSURE THAT HE GETS THE HIGHEST SENTENCE FOR CHILD ENDANGERMENT AND THE ILLEGAL RAISING OF ANIMALS! ONE STEP OUT OF LINE DUMBLEDORE AND YOU’LL FIND YOURSELF OUT OF A JOB!” The letter screamed before exploding.

Severus looked over to the Slytherin table, seeing them trying to stifle their laughter. Dumbledore looked furious. Severus saw another owl with that bright red seal heading towards the Slytherin table. Severus had his wand in his hand and was ready to fire the canceling spell.

The letter came alive and opened its mouth and started to scream “HARRY POTTER! HOW DARE YOU GET MY SWEET RONNIKINS IN TROUBLE! I’M WARNING YOU-”

“*Terminus litterae,*” Severus cast at the letter.

“THAT THE MOMENT-” The letter burst into a million pieces. Severus looked over at Hadrian and saw very well-concealed anger. I’ll have to check in on him later

Severus saw someone from the Gryffindor table stand up and march over to the Slytherin table. That someone had flaming red hair.

~Hadrian’s POV~

Hadrian went back to talking with his friends when someone stomped behind him. Hadrian held in a sigh.

“HARRY POTTER!” The voice behind him yelled. It didn’t long for Hadrian to figure out who was behind him.

“WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY MUM’S LETTER, SLIMY SNAKE!?” Weasley yelled.

“His name is Hadrian Perevell-Potter. How long is it going to take you to get his name through your thick skull?” Draco asked. Hadrian nodded his head slightly to Draco, thanking him in his mind. Draco had a slight smile on his face.

“WHAT WOULD YOU KNOW DEATH EATER!?” Weasley yelled again.

“You know,” Blaise started, “there’s this thing called speaking at a normal voice level.”

Weasley snarled. “I DON’T-”

“20 points from Gryffindor for causing a disruption,” Severus interrupted while heading towards the table.

“Now, now,” Dumbledore started to say with a smile on his face and walked towards the table. “I’m sure they were just having a loud conversation. There is no need to take points away from them.” Severus glared at Dumbledore.

“Anyway, Mr. Perevell-Potter, please come with me,” Severus said. Hadrian nodded and followed him out of the Great Hall and into his office.

“Do you need something, sir?” Hadrian asked.

“Severus please, we are in private. And no, I was just wondering how you're doing,” Severus said.

“I’m doing fine,” Hadrian said. Severus nodded.

“Just know, as your Head of House and your Godfather, you can come to me with any issues,” Severus said. Hadrian nodded and left the office.

Hadrian rounded the corner outside the office and almost ran into Draco.

“So, are you going to send a howler back to them?” Draco asked.

“No,” Hadrian said. Draco had a confused look on his face. “The Weasleys are mostly annoyances, with the exception of the twins. They do not matter. Since they don’t matter, there is no reason to care about what they say because they do not matter, and thus what they say doesn’t matter. Also, if they respond childishly while I respond in a matter befitting someone above my age, they will look silly and childish.” Draco made a little o with his mouth before nodding.
