Ron and Blaise (Harry Potter)
Something unexpected happened at Hogwarts. The Chosen One, Harry James Potter and The Slytherin Prince, Draco Lucius Malfoy had gotten together. The Daily Prophet had gotten hold of a picture of the once-mortal enemies locked in a passionate embrace. Ron almost lost his shit. He followed Harry around trying to see what Harry was planning for Malfoy. "This is an elaborate prank, right? I can get my brothers in on it," Ron said."For the millionth time, Ron, there is no prank," Harry replied his tone a mixture of exasperation and affection. "I love Draco, okay? If you can't support me, mate, leave me alone." Ron ran his hands through his already messy hair. He needed reinforcements. Something was wrong. If Harry wasn't planning then Draco had to be doing something under all the blushing.
Like Ron, Blaise was confused about how Draco could fall for an idiot like Potter. Yet the first page of the Daily Prophet was a clear picture of Draco pulled into Potter's arms and kissing him deeply. The dark-skinned man had pulled plenty of embarrassing pranks on Potter over the years. Draco had seemed to forget to include Blaise in this prank. "What do you mean you're not dating him a prank? you have to be," Blaise said. "Why can't I have one good thing and not get questions about it? I love him. Blaise. Just a little support would be nice," the Blonde said his voice tinged with vulnerability. Blaise thought maybe Harry was responsible for what was happening to Darco. Blaise went to try and talk to Draco again and on his way to try and talk to Draco Blaise ran into Ron.
"Out of the way weasel, I'm trying to help my best friend," Blaise said. "You know what. Same here. Harry can't be in love with Malfoy," Ron said. "Funny I was going to say the same thing. Draco couldn't ever fall for Potter," Blaise said. "Looks like we have a similar goal. How about we join forces? Just see what each other's friends are up to. see if something weird is going on," Ron asked holding his hand out. "Did you wash your hands," Blaise asked. "Yes," Ron rolled his eyes. Blaise thought about the worst thing and decided it would be a short little operation. They would find out the real reason behind the new couple and make sure they break up. Easy. Blaise took Ron's hand and shook it.
Apparently no it was not as easy as Blaise had thought. Ron was spying on Draco. Draco sent emotionally filled letters to his parents about Harry. Mrs.Malfoy seemed supportive of her son while Mr.Malfoy always sent a howler back. Ron almost felt sorry for the blonde but he knew something was amiss here. He just needed a reason. Malfoy was well off so Harry's money couldn't be the reason. Humiliation. That had to be it. Make Harry fall for him and then dump him publicly that had to be it. Ron was concerned for Harry, but Ron couldn't see the way Draco sent Harry an owl about Ron.
Blaise was tasked to look after Harry. Harry had made plans for him and Draco after Hogwarts. Harry went to Professor Lupin, the last family he had. He talked to his professor about how much he loved Draco and if there was any way that the teacher could help him. Blaise saw how Harry was falling for his best friend. This was still a Golden Boy who owed a debt to this world by having that lightning bolt on his head. Blaise wanted something but everything Harry did seemed so sweet and raw. it was like Harry knew what love was and tried to show it in a way he never got. Something Blaise never saw were those night owls Harry sent Draco about Blaise.
Months passed in this type of spying. Ron was getting anxious and had been sent into a few spirals. Ron had been working non-stop on all of his evidence. Maybe Blaise might bring something helpful tonight. When Blaise said he still had nothing Ron became more stressed. "There has to be something. I know it. This relationship can't be real. I know Harry would tell me before he even thought about it," Ron said. "I can't believe it Malfoy had to up something and I'm gonna find out what it is if it's the last thing I do," Ron said. "Not all of us are snakes, besides if you keep doing this you'll face a thing worse than death," Blaise said. "I'll get expelled," Ron said. "I'm sorry what," Blaise said. "I live with Hermione," Ron mumbled. "Maybe this is real, Ron maybe they love each other," Blaise said.
"But I can't let Harry get hurt. He already lost his parents," Ron said, "I know what you mean Draco is already broken and I can't let him get hurt either," Blaise said. Ron paced the room. "I'm missing something. I know I am," Ron said. "Ron calm down you're gonna have a panic attack," Blaise said and slowly made Ron feel his heartbeat. "Breathe with me okay," Blaise and helped Ron calm down. Ron looked up and could feel that their eyes locked and it seemed as if time stopped. 'Is this what Harry and Draco feel.'Ron thought to himself. 'Maybe Draco was starting something falling for a Gyrfinndor,' Blaise thought not letting his eyes leave Ron's. The two came back to their senses and stepped away from each other. "Sorry about that," Ron said and looked away gathering all the evidence and ran off to his dorms leaving Blaise confused and blushing
The next day Ron and Blaise tried to avoid each other. The two needed a few days to deal with what happened the night before. Hermione and Pansy had been aware of the two meeting up every week. The two females joined forces to help Ron and Blaise face their feelings. At the next meeting, the two were supposed to have Pansy and Hermoine join them. Ron and Blaise went over everything and Ron decided that maybe there was not any evil planning on Malfoy's side as Blaise had said the week before. The redhead didn't want to know what he was feeling when he looked into Blaise's eyes. Blaise on the other hand knew exactly what had happened. A mere exposure effect. They had been so involved in Harry and Draco's life that they fell in love as well. "Hermione, Pansy, can you leave us? I wish to talk to Ron alone," Blaise said. The two females nodded and left the room. "Ron. I believe we both know what happened the other day," Blaise started. "Yeah you found out Hermione thinks expulsion is worse than death," Ron said trying to use humour to escape the real reason Blaise wanted to talk about. "Well, yes I suppose I did. I'm talking about the other thing," Blaise said. "Oh, the getting lost in your eyes. I think all this spying is messing with our heads," Ron said. "Or maybe all this time together makes us see a few things we never had even though of seeing before," Blaise said. "You saw how two people can fall in love. You had your parents and your older brother's. Meanwhile, my mom got married 4 times. I never saw what a healthy relationship is."Blaise continued. "I never knew that," Ron said. Ron went up and hugged the taller male.
Blaise stiffened but after a while hugged Ron back and slowly backed him against the table. Blaise's hand protected Ron's head as Ron fell back onto the table. Ron looked at Blaise who was bent over him trapping Ron between the table and Blaise himself. Before Ron could say anything, Blaise was kissing him. Ron was surprised but kissed back. the two pulled apart when they heard applause. In the doorway stood Hermione, Pansy, Harry and Draco. "About time. When Harry and I figured out you two were spying on us we sent each other letters about it," Draco said. "Who knew it would turn out like this," Harry said. Ron and Blaise blushed. "You and Draco made us like this, Harry. Falling in love while I'm still single," Ron said. The six friends burst into laughter, relieved that the truth had finally been revealed. Love intertwined their lives in unexpected ways, causing Ron and Blaise to discover their hidden desires and emotions. Love had triumphed over their initial skepticism and confusion, allowing their hearts to guide them toward unexpected happiness. It was a testament to the power of love and the unpredictable paths it can take. And so, in the magical world of Hogwarts, where anything is possible, love found its way into the hearts of two unexpected couples, forever changing their lives. With their newfound understanding of love, Ron and Blaise, embarked on a journey filled with adventures, laughter, and the everlasting bonds of friendship and love.
