Harry and Draco (Harry Potter)
Harry Potter X Draco Malfoy
The battle of Hogwarts started with the fire that claimed Goyle. At least to Draco it was. It all started in the library. Goyle, Blaize and himself tried to stop the golden trio. Spur forward by what they thought was right Goyle began releasing fire animals that at one point he could no longer control his wand falling. Draco let himself be pulled into his mind by the memories.
Harry looks back just in time to see a huge fiery snake slithering around the empty frames and come toward him while opening its mouth. For a split second, Harry stands there with his mouth agape in horror, then turns and races after Ron and Hermione. As the three turn a corner, massive flames come at them from both sides. Harry casts spells, knocking down chairs, trying to slow down the flames, to no avail. The flames take the form of a massive bird, sending burning chairs and other objects flying. Meanwhile, Draco and Blaise back away in horror as Goyle's wand keeps producing more flames, beyond his control; as Draco and Blaise begin to climb a mountain of furniture, Goyle throws his wand away. Ron and Hermione are fleeing from a giant fiery lion, while Harry is fleeing from a giant fiery serpent. In their section, Draco, Blaise, and Goyle are desperately climbing the furniture mountain. Reuniting with each other, Harry, Ron, and Hermione are cornered by a giant flaming bird; running the other way, a huge fiery tiger comes toward them; trying to find another route, a massive snake of fire comes at them, though Harry stops it by conjuring a barrier of water. Falling to the floor, Ron glances at a bunch of broomsticks and throws one at Harry. Seconds later, Harry, Ron, and Hermione take to the air on the broomsticks, flying over the flames. Goyle continues following Draco and Blaise up the mountain of furniture; grabbing a chair, he pulls it loose and loses his balance, falling down and getting swallowed up by the flames. Draco looks down at where Goyle fell, devastated by his friend's death, and then he and Blaise continue climbing to the top, desperate to avoid the same demise. "Come on, this way," Ron had called. As they go, Harry, still holding the diadem, flies past Draco and Blaise, both standing on a table at the top of the furniture mountain. Suddenly, the books under the table fall, causing it to tilt; Draco and Blaise quickly grab hold of the table. Harry glanced back at Draco and Blaise and saw they were in trouble and said, "We can't leave them," and flew back to help them. Ron glances at Hermione, hardly believing that Harry is going out of his way to help their enemies and asks, "He's joking, right?" He and Hermione turn around and follow Harry as extends his hand to grab Draco's hand, but misses. Draco nervously looks down at the flames below. Harry rejoins Ron and Hermione. "If we die for them, Harry, I'm gonna kill you," Ron says. Harry quickly flies back to the table, grabbing Draco and pulling him onto his broom while Ron takes Blaise, just as the flames engulf the table. Hermione takes the lead as she, Harry, Ron, Draco, and Blaise fly over the flames as burning chairs fall down everywhere, looking for the exit. Hermione eventually spots a wall of flames up ahead and knows the door is just past it. She casts a spell at the flames, making an opening which the five of them rocket through. Landing safely in the corridor as a fireball emits from the door to the Room of Requirement, Draco gets to his feet and flees the scene.
Draco in that moment knew one thing. Harry had to save them so Harry could also save him. He knew he was against him and he ran a hand over the dark mark on his arm knowing he would listen to Voldermort no matter what his heart wanted. why could no one see him falling apart? His heart at the moment though was beating for Harry. All this was for Harry. Love. Draco idolized Harry a first wanting to be his friend but over time Draco fell for Harry. As the Battle of Hogwarts commenced around him Draco was lost in his mind until the Dark Lord's voice broke him from his mind. "HARRY POTTER IS DEAD!" Draco wanted to yell, cry and scream as the death eaters laughed. "And now is the time to declare yourself, come and join us or die," The dark lord said. "Draco, Draco," his father called him extending a hand but he stayed. "Draco," His mother called giving him a small nod. He looked at the students wishing for someone to call him back but no one did. "Well done Draco, Well done," Voldermort said hugging him. Darco moved towards his parents and into his mother's safe arms.
Neville limped forward. "Well, I must say I hoped for better, "Voldemort said as the death eaters laughed once again. Voldemort turned his gaze on Neville. "And who might you be young man," He asked. "Neville Longbottom," the young boy said as laughter erupted once more. "Well, Neville, I'm sure we can find a place for you in our ranks," Voldemort said. Neville began to speak with gusto, "I'd like to say something." Voldemort made a fist and said," Well, Neville I'm sure we'll all be fascinated by what you have to say."
Neville looked down before speaking. "Doesn't matter if Harry's gone, "He started before someone said, "Stand down, Neville" Neville continued, "People die every day," He turned to face Hogwarts. "Friends, Family, Here we lost Harry tonight. He's still with us, in here," He said putting a hand on his heart. "We lost Fred, Remus, Tonks, All of them. They didn't die in vain," he said as he hobbled face to face Voldemort who had a smile on his face. "But, you will cause you're wrong. Harry's heart did beat for us, for all of us. It's not over," Neville said unveiling a sword
((A/N) Fair warning I'm changing the story)
And then, out of the corner of his eye, Draco saw him. Harry Potter, emerging from Hagrid's protective embrace, stood tall and determined, his eyes ablaze with a mixture of grief and unwavering resolve. Draco's heart skipped a beat, a glimmer of hope igniting within his chest. In that fleeting moment, he believed that Harry could bring an end to this relentless darkness that had consumed their lives. "POTTER!" Draco's voice erupted, cutting through the noise of battle. With a flick of his wrist, he hurled his wand towards Harry. In that split second, it felt like a thousand thoughts and emotions collided, a surge of regret mingling with a desperate plea. "End it, Harry," Draco whispered his voice barely a breath on the wind. Harry caught the wand effortlessly, his grip unwavering as the wood connected with his palm. Surprisingly, the wand responded to him, recognizing the strength and purpose behind his touch.
A flicker of awe danced across Draco's face, his heart swelling with a newfound respect. As the final showdown ensued, Harry wielded the power of Draco's wand against Voldermort, his determination fueling each spell that burst forth. The echoes of their duelling incantations rippled through the air, shaking the very foundations of their reality. In a climactic battle of light and dark, Harry emerged victorious, vanquishing the dark lord from existence. A deafening silence fell upon the battlefield, broken only by the quiet sobbing of those who had lost loved ones and the collective gasps of those who had witnessed the fall of Voldemort. Draco caught up in the magnitude of this moment, felt a surge of emotions welling up within him, threatening to burst free. It was then, amidst the ruins of their former lives, that he found himself unable to contain the tide of emotions that crashed against the walls of his heart. Draco's steps were measured yet purposeful as he crossed the distance between himself and Harry Potter. With every stride, he shed the weight of his past, unburdening himself from the shackles of prejudice and fear.
Without hesitation, Draco reached out and cupped Harry's face in his hands, his touch gentle yet firm. Their eyes locked, and in that shared gaze, years of pain, regret, and longing converged. With a passion born out of survival and redemption, Draco closed the gap between them and pressed his lips against Harry's. It was a kiss that transcended the boundaries of time and circumstance, marked by healing, forgiveness, and above all, love. In that single moment, the world faded away, and all that mattered was the connection they shared, forged through trials, tribulations, and the ultimate victory over darkness. As they broke apart, their breath mingling in the space between them, Draco felt a sense of peace settle upon him.
Ron and Hermione then walk into the Great Hall, and they share smiles with Draco and Harry. Minutes later, the four of them are walking along the Viaduct bridge. Harry steps up onto one of the sides of the bridge and examines the Elder Wand. Hermione then asked, "Why didn't it work for him, the Elder Wand?" Harry glanced at her and Ron, then smiled at Draco. "It answered to somebody else. When he killed Snape, he thought the wand would become his. But, the thing is, the wand never belonged to Snape. It was Draco who disarmed Dumbledore that night on the Astronomy Tower. From that moment on, the wand answered to him." "Until... the other night, when you disarmed me, at Malfoy Manor, "Draco finished. Ron nodded, "So, that means...," he trailed off as Hermione glanced at him. Harry held the wand closely and said, "It's mine." "What should we do with it," Ron asked. ""We", "Hermoine and Draco asked. Ron looked at them and said, "I'm just saying, that's the Elder Wand, the most powerful wand in the world. With that, we'd be invincible."Harry knows that Ron is making a good point, but also knows that the Elder Wand has caused more trouble than good. He grips the Elder Wand with both his hands. Ron, Hermione and Draco glance at each other, then back at Harry as he snaps the Elder Wand in two, then throws the pieces into the ravine, much to their shock. After a few seconds, Harry steps down onto the bridge and walks away as the three watch him. Harry glances down the bridge, then cranes his neck back at his friends and boyfriend. Draco walked up and took his hand kissed him and Harry kissed back. Hermione walks up to them with a smile, and then takes his hand; Ron steps up as well and takes Hermione's hand. The 4 friends gaze into the distance, wondering what the future will have in store for them now that their ongoing saga with Voldemort is finally over.
19 Years Later
In the year 2017. Harry and Draco are walking towards the gateway to Platform 9¾ with their children, James Sirius Malfoy-Potter, Lily Narcissa Malfoy-Potter, Albus Severus Malfoy-Potter and Scorpius Malfoy-Potter. Lily gets off James' trunk, and he runs right through the barrier. Scorpius followed suit and yet Albus froze worried. Harry walked up to him and put a hand on his shoulder. "Together," he told his son and Albus nodded and the two ran through the barrier. Draco took Lily's hand they crossed as well. The small family of 6 walked along the platform looking for the Wealsey-Granger couple. Hermione fretted over her daughter before hugging her tight. "Here they come," Ronan announced the arrival of the Malfoy-Potter family. Albus hung back to tie his shoe but Draco knew that someone was running threw his head and Draco motioned to go help him. "Dad, what if I am put in Slytherin" Albus asked once Harry bent down to help him. "Albus Severus Potter, You are named after two headmasters of Hogwarts. One of them was a Slytherin and he was the bravest man I have ever known." Harry said. "But just say I am," Albus says. "Then Slytherin house will have gained a wonderful young wizard," Harry said, "But listen. if it really means that much to you, you can choose Gryffindor. The Sorting Hat takes your opinion into account." Albus smiled and asked, "Really?" "Really," Harry promised. The conductor yelled for everyone to board and the father-son duo rose to their feet and shared a hug. Albus joined the same car as his brothers and waved goodbye as the train pulled out of the station
