Something wrong
*Dear Crowley,*
*I can not describe with words how boring it is without you. Only to think that I will have to bear four more weeks without talking to you! But its also good to see my parents again. Were going to see Rome! Im so excited!*
*I still really miss you, but at least I have my books to keep me company.*
*And theyre not complaining about my magic tricks. Im really getting the hang of it! I'll show you after the holidays.*
*Did you finish 'The Metamorphmosis' already? I think it was rather depressing but lets talk about that when we see each other again. What are you doing at the moment? Im looking forward to your letter and will add our address in Rome below so you can reach me there.*
*I hope youre having a nice time and your family's not over too often. Greetings,*
*Aziraphale*

*Dear Aziraphale,*
*Thanks for your letter! And sorry for not responding. Its been a bit strange at our house. My Grandfather died a couple weeks ago (I didnt really know him so it's okay). *
*And my parents have been fighting with the rest of the family except my aunt Shax and my Grandma at the funeral. I didnt really get what it was about because they were so loud. Well, Im happy to be back home and obviously dont have to see any of my cousins. *
*I havent finished the book yet but it sounds a bit boring. Im sure your magic tricks are amazing. *
*I cant wait to see you back at Hogwarts!*
*See ya,*
*Crowley*
~~
The second year started with a bang.
Aziraphale had waited for Crowley at the station. They had agreed to meet half past ten but Crowley wasnt there. So he had gone into the train to find a compartment for them. He found Newt sitting by himself, reading and with a prefect batch on his chest. They talked a bit but when it was almost ten to eleven Aziraphale started searching for his best friend and found him at the station in a fight with Hastur.
"Stop it!" He couldnt do much but at least he got enough time to pull Crowley away, on the train and out of reach of any scary fourth years.
As Newt heard what had happened he put his book aside and frowned.
"Why?"
"They said some really nasty things."
"I thought we were against physical violence!"
"I know, I'm sorry."
Newt only shook his head and got back to his book. "As long as youre fine... But if this happens again Ill have to report it."
Aziraphale kept an eye on Crowley during the train ride. He seemed like always, but the way he sat in his seat a bit too relaxed told him that he was still shook by the fight.
As the lady with the sweets arrived Crowley got up to pay for their stuff but Aziraphale held him back. "Its alright, I've got this"
As he handed Crowley some kettle cake he took it, ut didnt really seem to look at Aziraphale.
They barely spoke and only made fun of Newt when his Ravenclaw crush, a tall girl with glasses and a ponytale walked by and Newt hid behind his book.
After a more than satisfying dinner and a small insurrection in the great hall that involved Peeves and some let loose pixies, they sat together in their bedroom with Pat and Leslie and played Rommé.
It was a nice evening but as the other two boys had left to the bathroom, Aziraphale sat on Crowleys bed and waited till he finished unpacking his suit case.
"Crowley you know we have to talk about what happened this morning."
Crowley just sighed and sat beside him, staring down at his feet, which were dangling down from the side of his bed.
"Theres nothing to talk about. He just said some rude stuff about me, my parents and I lost it."
"But the whole last year... Every time somebody insulted you, you never reacted like that."
Crowley shrugged. "Things are different since my grandpa died. The rest of my family has treated me either like Im not in the room or they've yelled at my parents about how they raised a little Hufflepuff traitor."
He kicked his suitcase and burried his face in his hands. "I just dont understand why it matters in what house I am. I didnt do anything wrong. Its just a stupid house. And they say somethings wrong with me."
Aziraphale put one arm around Crowleys shoulder. "Youre none of those things."
"I know. But I guess I've only realised now that most of the people I grew up with just hate me now. They don't want me in their lives."
Aziraphale had never been in such a position. And so the only thing he knew to say was. "Im happy youre in my life, Crowley."
The read head grinned weakly and waggled his eyebrows. "Does that mean I get to make fun of your magic tricks again?"
"No, of course not!"
