OH FUCK!

Anthony

OH FUCK!  Did Percy say that his waters broke?! Okay breath… breath… You read the books. You know what to do.

“Percy, it’s okay love. We will get you to your healers. Take a deep breath for me, okay.”  Anthony’s voice sounded a lot more confident than he felt.

Percy nodded and took a deep breath.

“Good job Precious.” Anthony pulled out his wand and cleaned up the redhead. “Let's get you up. Do you think you can do that?”

“Y...Yes. I’m not contracting right now.” He stood up and carefully raised Percy from the couch. As they stood, Percy groaned and bent over.

“Okay, Percy I know it hurts Precious. We have to get to the floo. We will go together.” They made it over to the floo even with Percy’s wobbly legs.

When the flames turned green. They stepped through.

Once there, everything happened so quickly.

Percy was about to be taken back. When the healer looked at Anthony.

“Are you the other father? We only allowed family from this point.” He didn’t know what to say. He looked down at Percy's face scrunched up in pain.

“Of course, he is the other Father! Fuck can we please go back to the room. This baby is ready to come!” Percy gritted through his teeth. If Anthony wasn’t scared out of his mind. He would have noticed the butterflies in his stomach when Percy stated he was the other father.

“Okay good. Let's go deliver this baby.” The healer’s upbeat voice seemed to make Percy scowl more.

“It’s okay Precious. Take a deep breath. The baby will be here soon.” He leaned down and pressed a kiss on Percy’s forehead. Of course, he would take full advantage of being the ‘Other Father’.  Percy looked up at him with a look of shock. That quickly turned into pain.

“I sure hope so.”

The room had two other witches. They must have been the med-witches to help the healer with the delivery.

“We… We need to tell Charlie. I… I need him here too.” Percy cried out as they raised the white sheet. Anthony nodded and went to use the floo in the waiting room.

“NO don’t don’t leave me… Just send a patronus.” Of course. He pulled out his wand and quickly rambled off where they were. Hopefully, they will be here soon.

Percy

Holy shite he has never felt such pain before. It will be worth it. Once his baby was in his arms it would be worth it. Anthony being here was a big help. Of course, the time that Anthony would kiss him. His water would break. Maybe it was the kiss that did it. That kiss was the best kiss he ever had.

Did he really tell the nurses Anthony was the other father? It didn’t matter Percy told them. He didn’t want to be alone. Plus, thinking of Anthony being the baby’s father made his heart flutter. Not that he expected anything from Anthony.

“Can…Can you please wait till my brother gets here?” Percy asked after another painful contraction. Anthony running his fingers through his hair was helping with his anxiety.

“Unless he gets here in the next two minutes. We will start without him. The baby is ready to go.” Gods he hopes his brother can get here.

“He will make it Precious.” Anthony gave him another forehead kiss. Those kisses shouldn’t help with the pain, but they do. Seconds turned to minutes. Charlie still wasn’t there.

“Okay, we waited long enough. Baby is coming. Dad, when the baby comes out do you want to cut the cord?” The healer asked Anthony. Percy didn’t expect Anthony to say yes.

“Of course, if I can.” He looked down at Percy. He couldn’t be falling in love with this man at this time. It wasn’t smart, but he found himself nodding.

“You sure can Dad. You can stand back here and watch.” Percy found himself holding onto Anthony.

“Tony don’t leave me.” That damn nickname fell from his lips.  The other man stopped himself and interlaced their fingers. He brought Percy’s hand to his mouth. He pressed kisses on it.

“Of course, Precious. I will stay right here.”

Percy sighed and closed his eyes. He felt the healer's magic wash over him.  The pain was gone.

“Okay, Percy. I’m making the incision.” He couldn’t feel anything which he was so thankful for. There was some pressure on his stomach. Then he heard the most wonderful sound in the world.  A small cry.

“ Congratulations, it’s a girl!” It’s a girl! Topher was right. “Dad you want to come and cut the cord.” Percy opened his eyes and nodded to Anthony.

“Y...Yes.” Percy couldn’t see what was going on. The baby crying stopped a minute later. Anthony walked from behind the sheet. In his arms was his baby.

“Look, Precious she has your hair.” She did it was red and looked like it would be curly like his if he kept it long. Anthony placed her on his chest. When he felt his baby on his chest, he felt complete.

“You did perfectly Precious.” Anthony pressed kisses all over his face.

Percy didn’t notice he was crying until he felt Anthony wiped his tears away.

“Percy!” Charlie walked into the room as quickly as he could. Harry was close behind him.

“Come meet your niece.”

——

Once Charlie and Harry left, they took turns so they would have each other to look after the kids. Barnaby and Hagrid are coming next. Percy was cleaned and snuggled with his little one on his bed. She was perfect, though she didn’t have a name yet. He felt guilty because it was getting late, and Anthony should be getting home.

“You know you don’t have to stay.” Percy ran his finger down the cute button nose of his daughter. Thankfully she looked nothing like Runcorn. The baby actually reminded Percy of Ginny. Hopefully, she will not be as cheeky as his younger sister.

“Of course, I’m going to stay. What if you or Shortcake needs me?” Percy raised his eyebrow. Did he call his daughter shortcake?

“Shortcake really?” Anthony sat down on the edge of his bed. The baby grasped the other man’s finger in a tight grip.

“Yes. She doesn’t have a name yet. To me, she looks like  Strawberry Shortcake. That’s a muggle cartoon.”

Percy looked at her. He didn’t know what Strawberry Shortcake looked like, but she must have been beautiful if she looked anything like his daughter. Percy had a few names picked out now that he saw her there was one that fit perfectly. He would just need a middle name.

“Her name is Lucy. I don’t have a middle name picked out. D..Do you have any suggestions?” Oh sure, Percy. Just ask the man to name your daughter! You have been on one date with him! Percy scolded himself, but Anthony just smiled at him.

Anthony

“Grace.” The name slipped off his tongue so quickly that he didn’t even have time to think. Grace was his grandmother's name. A part of him knew he should have waited. If he had his own child he would want her to have his grandmother's name, but he knew deep down inside this was his first child. Anthony is in love with Percy. Hopefully, the man loves him back. It didn’t matter that they only had one date. They spent the last three months together.

“Lucy Grace. That is beautiful. How did you come up with that?” Percy looked into his soul with his beautiful eyes.

“Grace was my grandmother’s name. Please don’t say anything. I want her to have that name. Your waters broke in the bookshop. Gran would come back and haunt me if I didn’t.” Percy smiled shyly at him.

“I would be honored to name my daughter after your Gran. I wouldn’t want you to be haunted after all.” There was a comfortable silence of them looking at Lucy when Percy spoke up again.

“I’m sorry if it freaked you out being her other father. I didn’t want to be alone. I don’t expect anything from you. We have only had one date.  I didn’t even know that you wanted to date me. Who would want to date someone pregnant with another man’s baby? On top of it, I know I’m not handsome by any means. I…” Anthony pressed a firm kiss on Percy’s lips. That stopped the other man’s rambling. When he pulled away Percy had a dreamy sleepy look in his eyes.

“I liked the sound of it. I’m not rushing anything Percy, but I'll be here for you. Every minute of every day. You’ll get sick of me and probably tell me to leave. You and Lucy Grace are the two most important people in my life. I know that I might sound crazy. Please don't feel like you have to say it back. I love you. I know it’s too soon or maybe not too soon.”

Percy

He loves him. Anthony said that he loved him. Could Percy allow himself to love? “I... I can’t say it back yet. I am feeling something, Tony. I think it can be love. Just give me time okay.” Anthony pressed a tender kiss on his lips.

“I have all the time in the world.” He whispered on Percy’s lips. Percy kissed him softly one more time.

“Where is my granddaughter!” Barnaby questioned as he walked into the room. With a huge teddy bear. Hagrid stood beside him with a beautiful grey and pink blanket with a ribbon tied around it.

“I want you to meet Lucy Grace.”
