Episode 2
Harry
Harry groaned as the light shone through the blinds. He pulled the covers over his head. His body only protested a little bit. Then something hit him. This bed wasn't his bed. The mattress was too soft. His mattress at home had springs that dug into his back.
Worry lanced through him. Where was he? Then everything came crashing back. Harry was alone in a rival MC’s clubhouse. Stupid, he was fucking stupid. Harry couldn’t help but be a hero and help. Look where it got him. In a den full of snakes. These snakes didn’t seem that scary. They offered him a place to stay. They didn’t ask for unreasonable things. Harry thought to himself. At least not yet.
A knock on the door had him sit up quickly in bed.
“Y...Yes?” Damn it, Harry. Get it together. Do not show weakness in front of these people. He knew what would happen to him if he showed weakness.
“Can I come in? It’s Draco, The Kid.” Harry looked down at himself. He was wearing his oversized t-shirt and briefs.
“Erm sure yeah…” The door opened. In stepped the blond with a handful of clothes and a smile on his lips.
“VP wanted me to bring you some clothes and let you know it’s time for breakfast. If you don’t come down now. You might not get any.” Draco placed the clothes on the small dresser. “Thanks for yesterday. I’m not sure if anyone told you. It was the first time anything had happened since I’d been old enough to go. Well, let's say since I got back from Uni. My job is normally behind a computer.”
The blond seemed nervous. He was rambling. “Sorry, I don’t normally talk this much.”
“It’s fine.” Harry smiled. He wasn’t used to talking to many people. His 'friends' had always been chosen for him. Most of the time they ignored him anyway.
“I made an oath to help. So you went to Uni for computer science I’m guessing? I am shite at computers though.” Draco nodded as he pushed his hands in his back pockets.
“Yes, I graduated top of my class. My dads couldn’t have been prouder. They wanted me to do something besides the club but this is my home, this is where I grew up.”
Harry knew too well how it was to grow up in a motorcycle club. After Uni he didn’t want to go back to his motorcycle club.
“ I bet they were. Thanks, Draco for the clothes. I’ll be down in a minute.” Draco got the hint and left.
Harry should leave. He shouldn’t stay in one place too long. He glanced at his clothes from the day before. One day couldn’t hurt. He could eat breakfast. Maybe do a day of work to get paid. Any little bit helps.
Once out of bed, he had his shirt pulled over his head when his door opened again. His body ached, and his rib protested as he tried to pull the shirt down.
“OH shite sorry! I forgot to give you socks. I’ll leave them here.” The voice he could tell was Draco’s. The door closed quickly.
When Harry was fully dressed. He walked into the hallway. The clubhouse was bigger than he realized. It was newer and cleaner than The Order. The smell of breakfast teased his nose as he walked down the stairs. He followed the sounds of voices. Many of them he recognized but there were a few he didn’t.
As he walked into the door the voices stopped. All eyes looked up at him. Including the grey ones that should be resting in bed. Harry fought to roll his eyes. The man should really be resting.
“Morning our Feisty Nurse!” The biggest man at the table said. He was the one who was with Draco yesterday. He didn’t miss the our part of that sentence. It shouldn’t have made him feel the way it did.
“Morning, I hope that I didn’t interrupt anything. Draco told me to come down for breakfast.” Harry looked right at Draco who nodded and glared at the biggest man at the table.
“You look rested. Today I think you should rest. Then tomorrow you can head over to the clinic and help.” The oldest man at the table commanded. He remembered that he was the president of the club. The president looked a little young to be the president. It didn’t matter. Harry wasn’t going to stay. Breakfast, then he will do a day's work. Then leave first thing tomorrow.
“I’m fine. I can do a day's work. If it is okay. I’d like to work today. I need to make a little bit before I leave tomorrow?” Harry felt eyes on him as he looked over at Reggie. His gray eyes pierced through him.
“I don’t think that is a good idea.” Reggie was the first to speak. Harry crossed his arms he is joking, right? He thought to himself.
“Says the man who should be in bed because he was stabbed yesterday!”
“What can I say I like when you stitch me up,” Reggie replied, Harry hated the blush that grew on his cheeks.
“Too bad for you I’m not a masochist. You will need to go to someone else to help you with your sadistic fantasies.” A roar of laughter broke out in the room.
“Shit Prez. I think I’m in love!” The big man barked out. Harry watched as Draco stood up and rushed out of the room. There was a look of heartbreak on his face. Harry felt bad for him.
“Good one Wolf! Now we won't see the Kid for a while.” A guy Harry has never met before slammed a plate of food in front of Wolf.
“I….”
“Enough!” Prez yelled. “Fen eat, then I want you at the shop. Barty will be doing custom jobs so he needs help. Reggie, Bella will be back today. I’m not getting on her bad side. You are going to stay here. See if the kid needs your help. Harry, I would really like for you to rest today. I’m not your boss. I will give you options. Option one. You can help out at the garage. Option two. You can wait tables. Option three. You can go to the clinic. I know Snape would love the help. Wouldn’t ya Doc?”
The doctor sat by a blond who looked just like an older version of Draco and nodded. “I could use the help.”
“Yes, he does. Most of the time he comes home exhausted and cross.” The blond stuck up his nose and looked towards Harry. “It would be doing me a favor.”
Harry didn’t know about cars, and the idea of waiting tables didn’t appeal either. At the clinic, he could do something he knows he can do.
“Okay sure, I don’t have any scrubs with me.”
“That’s fine we have plenty of scrubs. I’ll make sure you have some before you leave. When I do. Severus can go check up on our son.”
“Sure Luci, whatever you say pet.” Harry sat down next to Barty who placed his plate in front of him.
“Thank you.”
“No problem. I’m Barty. I cook for these arseholes every meal except for lunch. I do the custom paint jobs at the shop. Fen is the head mechanic. Luce is a lawyer. That is why he is in a suit.” He points at the silver-haired man and the blonde. “Of course, you know VP and Prez. The one who is glaring at me. You know, of course, Reggie.” Barty leaned into him. Harry watched as gray eyes glared daggers at them. “I don’t think he likes me talking to you. That is a first Reggie doesn’t usually get jealous. Do you mind if we have fun?” Barty threw an arm over the back of Harry’s chair.
“Nurse don’t listen to a fucking word he says,” Reggie growled out.
“Oooo nice… Told you.” Barty winked at him before he tucked into his breakfast.
Harry glanced over at Reggie before he looked down at his plate. Yeah, he needed to get away from here quickly.
Draco
The glow of the computer screen glowed. Draco’s fingers tapped quickly on the keyboard. He was going to do Harry’s background later. He wanted to spend more time with Fen. Of course, the arsehole couldn’t keep his mouth shut. Draco has been in love with that fucking man since he was old enough to know he liked men.
Fenrir Greyback would never be with him. He was just The Kid. The VP’s son.
A knock sounded on his door before it opened. Draco was about to yell at who barged in until he saw his dad walk in.
“I know you are working on Harry’s background, but please don’t hide away here all day.” The older man crossed his arms. His onyx eyes glared at him.
“I have a lot to do here Dad. Prez has me working on other projects as well.” Draco was always supposed to be better. To be who his parents wanted him to be. All Draco wanted to be was a hacker who he is. Be with Fen, and maybe in a long, long time, adopt a kid.
His dad sighed and shook his head. “Your father will be upset if you don’t at least eat.”
Lucius Malfoy, Draco’s father, was much scarier than his dad. Most people would think it the other way around. Yes, his dad had the scarier look. He knew how to kill you and make it look like natural causes. His father was cunning, smart, and knew the law. He could hurt you in more ways than one.
“Fine, I’ll make sure I will come out and eat. Barty won’t let me starve anyway. He brings in sandwiches.” His fingers paused when he felt his dad’s hand on his shoulder.
“He was teasing. I might not be happy that you are in love with a man who is 15 years older than you, but if I had to pick someone, Wolf isn’t too bad.” Draco shrugged off his dad’s hand. He wasn’t going to get emotional not right now.
“I’m not in love with him, Dad. You should get going. You don’t want to be late for work.” Draco reached over and turned on his CD player. Music filled his room. Soon Draco was lost in folk music and the clack of the keyboard. He wasn’t thinking about those blue eyes at all, not one bit.
Regulus
The tap of heeled boots echoed through the house. Regulus groaned. Those damn boots. How his cousin rode her bike with those he would never know.
“Reggie! You better be in bed. If you die because you are up and about. I will bring you back to life just to kill you again!” Bella’s shrieking voice grew closer. Thankfully Regulus was resting on the couch. Barty had an old black-and-white movie on. He was cuddling up against Rabastan. Their relationship always confused Reggie. They were best friends. Or so they say. Barty was gay, but Rabastan was straight. Though Reggie never saw a straight man cuddle his gay best friend like Bast cuddled Barty.
“OOOO you are so in trouble.” Barty took a chip off of Bast’s plate.
“Better you than me Reggie.” Bast fed Barty another chip from his plate. Barty smiled at him as he chewed.
Regulus was about to tell them off when his cousin stalked into the room. Bella’s beautiful ringlet curls fell down past her shoulders. She wore all black underneath her cut. The woman was crazy, loyal, but fucking crazy.
“You should be in bed! I heard that you got stabbed yesterday and you are here sitting up!” There were snickers from the other couch. Bella glared over at Barty and Bast. They both stopped quickly. Barty and Bast got up quickly. Oh, of course, they would leave him alone.
“I’m fine Bella, I promise. It wasn’t even that bad. I got patched up, and as you can see. I’m resting. You know I can’t lie in bed all day. I’d drive myself mad. You look great. I’m glad you are home safe.” The fire in her eyes grew dim. Flattery gets everywhere with his cousin.
“You’re lucky I love you, Reggie. Fine, don't move from that spot.” Bella moved her glare over to the doorway where Bast stood.
“Where is my husband?”
“At work, where else would he be? He has been walking around like a lost puppy without you.” Reggie watched as she walked over to her brother-in-law and slapped him on the back of the head.
“Of course, he is a lost puppy without me. Just like you are without Barty.” Reggie held his side and chuckled. The look on Bast's face was priceless.
“Shut up Reggie. You know Barty and I are best mates. Nothing more. You and the nurse on the other hand. I wonder if you will keep putting your foot in your mouth.” Reggie flipped him off. Bast laughed as he walked away.
Of course, he thought that the nurse. Harry was beautiful. There was something in those emerald green eyes.
Barty
Bast had been in an awful mood since they left the clubhouse. Now he was stomping around the body shop throwing tools.
“What did that wrench ever do to you?” Barty questioned as he swirled out from under the car he was working on. “You have been cross since we left the clubhouse. What is going on?
Bast glared at him. His curly hair was in a messy pony. A few hairs fell into his face.
“Nothing is wrong. I just can’t get this damn thing to unscrew!” Crash! There went another tool.
Barty stood up and walked over to the truck that was older than him. “You are probably not holding your mouth right.” He picked up the wrench and leaned into the bonnet. With one twist of the wrench, the bolt broke free. Barty looked up at his best friend. Who he had been in love with forever.
“Don’t fucking give me that look, Barty. I didn’t need your fucking help.” Bast pushed past him. Barty stood there shocked. Why was he acting like that?
“What the fuck is your problem?” He followed after his best friend. Barty tried not to notice how he looked in the coveralls he wore.
Bast turned around and glared at him.
“Oh, what, you have nothing to say? That is a first!” Barty knew he was poking the bear. He hated when Bast would get moody like this. It wasn’t the first time.
Bast didn’t say a word as he stalked towards him. His heart was beating out of his chest. They haven’t gotten into a physical fight in years. Even then, it was playful. Barty was caught off guard when Bast grabbed his t-shirt and crushed their lips together. Was Bast kissing him? Oh shite, Bast was kissing him. How many times did he dream about this? Bast’s lips were firm and a bit chapped. That didn’t matter; it was the best kiss of his life. Barty was about to deepen the kiss when Bast pushed him away.
“FUCK!” Bast ran out of the shop. Which left Barty all alone with the tingle of Bast's lips on his.
Fenrir
Fenrir took a bite of his burger. He just returned to the shop. Bast practically ran him over.
“Where the fuck are you going?” The man looked flustered. Hopefully, nothing has happened. Could it be Draco? No, he would have been the first to know if something happened to Draco. Fen didn’t know why the blond was so upset this morning. Of course, he was flirting with the nurse a bit. That is who he is. Draco and Fen couldn’t be together. His Dad was the Vice President of the club! There was no way that he could be good enough for Draco. Their age difference didn’t help the matter at all.
“Fuck you Fen.” Fen grabbed his arm to keep him from running away.
“I’m flattered, but wouldn’t you want your first fucking from a man with Barty?” Bast’s blue eyes widened. There was a look Fen couldn’t read.
“It’s not….” Bast took a deep breath. “How’s The Kid? Have you fucked him yet? Maybe if you want to be someone’s first, do it with him!”
Fen growled and pushed the other man away. He wanted to do more. He knew something was going on with Bast. Fen would find out what.
“Go cool off and come back once you are!” Fenrir took a couple of deep breaths before he walked into the shop.
Music was blaring when he walked into the garage. He could tell the mood of Barty by the music that was playing. Right now, it’s classical. Which meant that Bast and Barty had a fight. That is why Bast left quickly.
“Why are you and Bast fighting?” Fenrir asked as he turned down the music.
Barty popped up behind a car with a confused look on his face.
“We were not fighting... I mean I don't think we are fighting. He just…” Barty shook his head. Fenrir wanted to ask what he meant when the sound of a familiar bike pulled into the garage.
“Hey, Kid!” Fen smirked. Draco looked too good on that bike. Blond hair windswept instead of combed perfectly.
Draco ignored him completely. Of course, he would. The Kid will talk to him by the end of the day. It wasn’t the first time Draco had ignored him, and it wouldn’t be the last.
“Barty let's go eat. I promise D.. VP I’d eat today.” Barty placed the tool down on the tool bench.
“Oh, food sounds good. I’m starving. Fen I’m taking my break.” Fen huffed, he doubted if Barty would be back. Once those two got together.
“Sure yeah, I’ll just work today by myself.” He glanced at Draco who was glaring at him. “Make sure you eat more than junk.” Fenrir knew the blond would live off chips, crips, and chocolate.
“I was thinking we’d fish and chips. I’m craving chips. Then we can get a pastry for dessert.” Draco ignored him completely as they both hopped on his bike. There was a pang of jealousy when Barty wrapped his arms around Draco. With a rev of the engine they left him alone in his garage the only sound was the classical music playing. Fen finished his burger. He turned the channel to rock music. Fenrir would finish up the two cars Bast and Barty were working on. How could he could do to get back on Draco’s good side?
Tom
“Sirius is getting out in two days.” Malfoy entered his office without knocking. That wasn't out of character for him. Tom flicked the lighter closed and took a hit from his cigarette. “I figured you would want to know.” The blond smirked at him. What a sod.
“We know to keep a look out for him then.” He took another hit.
“Of course. I figure Dumbledor will have his hands full. One of his most loyal and hardworking men. Was kept on the inside for something he didn’t do.” That's a mystery. Why would Dumbledore keep Sirius in prison this whole time?
“It could work to our advantage. We need to be vigilant.”
“Yes of course. Especially if Black is as mad as he used to be.”
