Moony, the Cassanova of the Gryffindor Tower
Summary
!!I am currently rewriting this whole thing, which might take a while but it‘ll be worth it i swear! I recommend rereading the whole thing if youre already further ahead as soon as I update the new version but I will definitely write a short summary of the changes and what happened up to then at the beginning of chapter 7 as soon as i‘m there so you can pick up where you left if you want. This will get more structured, the plot will be changed a little (but not too much, esp in the beginning), and some minor stuff too (including tags)!! People who are honored to be kissed by Remus Lupin, the quiet boy, tend to think they're special but little do they know that this boy had kissed half of his year by the time he was 17.Or, how little Remus got "our dear Moony, the Casanova of the Gryffindor tower"AU: canon divergence, no Voldemort

Lily

About five weeks after James and Remus had kissed Sirius stopped asking about it.

About eight weeks after James and Remus had kissed Remus stopped thinking about it.

About ten weeks after James and Remus had kissed Remus got his first real kiss, how he tended to call it.

Third year was almost over when he was asked out for the first time. He and Lily were studying for the last two exams they had that year in some abandoned corner of the library, where it was silent. They both stayed quiet usually, except when they had a question about something. That was apparently the case when Lily spoke up.

"Remus?", she asked, "Have you ever had a girlfriend?"

"Obviously not. I would immediately have told you about it. You're my best friend after all."

"I'm your best friend? Don't let Potter and Black hear that."

They both laughed and Remus corrected himself. "You're all my best friends, but in different ways. With you I study and talk about the deep stuff. With Sirius and Peter I talk about the light stuff. With James it's like a thing in between and of course with all of them I do pranks. But you're all my best friends."

"That's very nice. I think for me it's similar with you and Marlene. With her I talk about the light stuff and with you it's more the deep stuff."

"See", Remus smiled.

After that they continued studying but Remus had a feeling that Lily was not done with the girlfriend topic even though he had managed to avoid it. He didn't want her to know that he'd never even kissed a girl, let alone dated one. She probably knew it but he was still to proud to tell her. He wondered why she had even asked.

It didn't take very long for him to find out because around one or two hours later, Lily closed her book again and looked at Remus.

"What?", he asked smiling.

"I don't know. I like to spend time with you."

"Yeah, me too. You want some chocolate?"

When she nodded he grabbed into his pocket and put put two chocolate bars.

"Thanks, that's so cute from you."

She smiled again and played with her hair. Why was she doing that? She never played with her hair. It was very un-lily-like.

"Do you want to go to Hogsmeade together on Saturday? It's our last chance before holidays start."

They had never gone to Hogsmeade together before because Remus always went with James, Sirius and Peter and Lily usually hung out with Marlene. He still accepted. Surely his friends wouldn't be mad at him?

Lily looked as if all her dreams had come true and giggled when she got up. She didn't stop talking about Saturday all the way back and it was a bit annoying to Remus, though he didn't say anything.

It was Saturday morning when Remus told the other Marauders that he wasn't going to Hogsmeade with them. James face immediately lit up, which confused Remus, until he said: "Our Moony has a date! Who is the lucky girl, our dear Casanova?"

"James, don't call me that. And I don't have a..." Suddenly he realised why Lily was behaving so strange. They had a date! And there was only one hour left to get ready. Fuck, how could Remus miss that fact? He tried to hide his moment of realisation and continued, "...a date, no, I don't have a date. You're just not the only friends I have. Get over it. I have to get ready, see you."

He ignored their amused glances and got into the bathroom. As fast as he could he showered and washed his hair, using Sirius' posh hair products, which were partially French, but he could mostly figure out which was what.

Then he brushed his teeth for over five minutes because who knew what would happen today, and finally deemed himself pretty enough.

When he got out of the bathroom, Sirius raised and eyebrow at him and Peter was giggling but Remus didn't pay attention to any of them. He picked the thinnest long sleeve top he could find, so that it wouldn't get too hot but still nobody could see his scars. Its color was a mixture of turquoise and light blue. Then he put on his cleanest shoes and a gold plated necklace, the only jewellery he owned.

He had only five minutes left when he was done but they would only meet in the Gryffindor common room so he wouldn't need much time to get there.

"See you later", he called behind himself, already leaving the room.

He could just like that hear James wish him "Good luck with your date" when he closed the door.

He was excited but calmed down when he saw Lily. She could always calm him down, even though he had never considered her as any more than a friend.

She looked pretty, her red hair were braided and she wore a cute purple dress but he didn't feel those butterflies he felt when he had kissed James and that didn't even count. Maybe they had to kiss to awaken those.

They talked about anything and everything on their way to Hogsmeade and it was just like any other time they saw each other. They went to Honeydukes to buy chocolate and other sweets and headed to the three broomsticks afterwards.

It was very funny until out of nowhere James stood next to their table.

"I can't believe you did that.", he muttered, glaring at Remus. James had had a crush on Lily for over two years. Shit. Remus hadn't thought about James at all. James had asked her out for three times by now, and she had never once said yes.

"James, I can explain, I promise. I didn't intend to hurt you. But can we talk later? Please?"

"Okay, fine. I guess you didn't mean to hurt me. But I'm still mad at you."

"Yeah, of course you are."

Remus knew that James was not angry anymore. He just couldn't stay upset with anyone, except of Snape maybe. The other way it was the same, nobody could be angry at James. He had such a pure heart and always wanted the best for everyone. Also his cute face surely helped with that.

"Are you sure you're going to be okay?", Lily asked worried. She couldn't care less about James but Remus knew that she cared about him."Yes, I'm sure. Let's go somewhere more quiet."

They got outside and went in the direction of the shrieking shack. Next to the path there was a wooden bench where they sat down.

"Remus?", Lily asked staring at him intensively. For a tiny moment her gaze dropped to his lips but after the next time blinking it was directed at Remus' eyes again.

"Can I kiss you?"

Instead of answering Remus leaned it and kissed her. It was absolutely not what be had expected. It was nice, it was okay, but it was nothing more than that. The butterflies were yet to come. After maybe ten seconds he pulled back and saw a disappointed look on her face. He knew that she had felt the same.

"Lily, I think-"

"Yeah, I know."

"Stay friends?"

"Best friends."

And that was what Remus told James and the other Marauders. Luckily James was much too nice to stay angry with him.
