Remus didn't open. He was focussed on reading his newspaper and didn't really care about the kids playing or still wanting candy from Halloween. Halloween used to be one of his favourite holidays, but this year they couldn't celebrate it, because of Lily's and James' hiding.
Knock knock
Remus rolled his eyes. "Go open the door Moons!" Sirius yelled from upstairs. He was taking a shower. Remus rolled his eyes again and laughed a bit. He stood up to open the door.
A man with very messy black hair, a bloody nose, ripped jeans and shaking posture stood there. He looked like so many emotions, but especially a he looked sad. A wreck. Remus almost wanted to give the man some food and then leave him again until he saw the eyes. Red, swollen hazel eyes.
James....
He didn't look like James. Not one bit. There was no happiness in him or a little spark. What was going on?
"James?" The man who probably was James nodded. "James what happened?" At that moment Sirius came downstairs. He looked one second and the other second he was hugging James. James didn't hug back. He stood still not giving one kick. Normally Remus would be hugging right now. Which made him think.
"James what happened? Brother don't scare me like this." Sirius said nervous. He took James inside. They all sat down. James looking as pale as the dead. They were silence for a few minutes.
"There dead...." He said coldy. Sirius face went pale. Remus couldn't believe it. "Wh-who dead James?" Sirius asked with a shaking voice. Remus didn't want to hear it. He wouldn't! He couldn't! This was a joke. But would James go this far for a joke?
"Li-Li.." He should his mouth again. Still looking down. Sirius grasped. Tears already rolling down. He stood up tapping his feet trying not to show emotion. Hands for his eyes. "No no funny joke prongs really funny. " He talked way to quickly. Remus didn't keep up with it.
Lily was dead. His bestfriend... She was always there for him. There was no world he known which was happy without Lily. She helped him with his werewolf potion. She was the one who talked to Remus about how he should forgive Sirius after the prank. He needed her. Not only he needed her, but James needed her. This James couldn't be lived with. He needed his happiness with the war there should be happiness. Little Harry was gone too. The spark and the little boy who made them all a real family. Remus didn't feel well. He looked at Sirius. Sirius who was crying and panicking like a baby.
"Pete betrayed us.." James spoke. Remus looked at him. He never seen James this angry in his life. Half shaking he nodded. "I don't know who the trust...." James said with such a deep voice that Remus almost didn't recognised it. "James you can trust us!" Sirius said looking at him. He walked over to him and gave him a hug again. "No... You don't get it. One of my best friends, who'd I would die for... Who'd I would kill for betrayed me. In the worst way possible, because I'm not dead. She and harry are. You have no fucking clue what's that like. You didn't see the love of your life dead on the cold floor. There was a fucking tear rolling down her face! She wanted to save Harry and he died too. YOU DON'T FUCKING UNDERSTAND!' Sirius was held back. Remus was scared for the first time in his life. He was really scared. What James had turned into... What had happened to him.... He was right. No one could imagine losing the love of your life and there child. "James what do you want us to do?" Remus looked him into the eye again.
The same swollen red eyes. "I don't know... I-I want to take revenge... Kill everyone of them till there is no bit left." James spat. Bitter and kind of craziness in his voice. "First little Pete... He will learn what he did. Then that dick sniveluss. Everyone... Every piece.... Dumbledore too. The old brat knew. He has too know. " The bitterness in his voice. At first there was always a soft and welcoming voice. It traded for the anger, bitterness and revenge. He gribbed his hand around his wand.
"James don't you think that's a bit to far? You don't know for sure maybe Pete was under imperio curse?" Sirius tried. He was almost pleading. "Sirius if you don't want to stand in my way please!" "James this isn't you!" Sirius tried again. "Well notice the new me Sirius. Fucking bloody live with it. Or not maybe it will be the last time I see you guys." He looked Remus sharp in the eye. James didn't give a kick. He walked away with a quick pace. "James please! Think! What would Lily do?" Remus yelled. James was almost at the door. He stopped by the words of Lily's name. "I will never know right? Cause she's dead Remus!" He yelled and slammed the door shut.
