Travel Sized
Brewing Potions seem to heightened Regulus' mood even more, he's always been a potions swot so it isn't surprising but it's still amusing to see Slughorn uncomfortably shift on his feet whenever he would see Regulus sat on a transfigured high chair and brewing potions with Sirius and partnered with Lily
Sirius is just smug about making Slughorn wary and lets Reggie mix the potion
Meanwhile Lily is a little confused, she can feel the toddler's eyes on her every time he's not mixing,
"You wook wike Anne" The toddler suddenly says looking at her with big eyes
"Anne?"
"Uh huh! Anne of Gabes" he quips with a milk tooth grin
"Anne of Green Gables?"
"Yes!"
Lily lets out a chuckle, she knows the book of course, she's also the one who recommended it to Remus and seeming that Remus grew close to Regulus, he must have read the book to the boy,
Lily didn't know much about Regulus, she only knew about him due to Sirius and some shared classes with Slughorn and the also the Slug Club but even then they only exchange pleasantries before being pulled into their respective friend groups
And now as a toddler, the boy who's shy at first was the first to approach her
"Wike youw haiw, tis wike Anne" he says with all the innocent admiration of a toddler and Sirius just looks at Lily with a 'He likes you, deal with it' smile,she rolls her eyes at him before replying to the toddler
"Thankyou, Regulus" She gave her best smile, toddlers are very impressionable and they also have no filter on what they say or do, or so what Lily would often hear from parents her mum or dad would be friends with
Lily finds herself a little more self conscious interacting with Regulus and he's a sweet kid, something she didn't know she would ever say about Regulus Black, not with his teenage self at least
"Do you wike powshuns too?" He asks
"Yes I do, how about you?"
"Uh huh! They pwetty and sumtimes they go boom! I wike to mix too, Siwi I wanna mix again!"
Lily can't help but be pulled into by the boy's enthusiasm, she just chuckles along with it, she looks at Sirius who gave the ladle to Regulus before telling him to mix slowly and she notices the fond smile but a hint of wistfulness in his eyes
"He's really enthusiastic" She tells him
"Oh uh, yeah, he's always loved potions"
"Yeah I can see, he's one of the best students according to Slughorn"
"Yeah"
"You okay?"
"Yeah just …"
"Siwi! Siwi! Wook it's now puwple! We did it, we did it" Regulus erupted in peals of laughter, wiggling in his seat
"Wow! That's great Reggie oh, Careful…" Sirius praised matching the enthusiasm and slowly pushed the highchair back so Regulus' kicking legs don't hit the counter and the potions
"Anne! I did well !" Regulus tells Lily
"My name is Lily, but yes you did so well Regulus, great job!" Lily sweetly acknowledged and the boy livened at the praise
"Yow name is Lily?"
"Yes"
"Kay, I wike Lily"
"Thankyou"
It didn't take long for Lily to finish hers too and Slughorn had assessed their potions and gave praises announcing to everyone about the good work, while also still making nervous glances at the toddler that Sirius is still smug about
Slughorn continued in assessing other's works then there was a frantic mumbling from a table behind them where Remus and Mary are stationed
"oh no, Wemus in twouble!" Regulus gasps
Truth enough, Remus is currently panicking over his potion while Mary just looked like she had given up
"Wanna go and see what Moony got?"
"Uh huh, Lily you come too?"
"Yes, I think I'll help Mary with hers, is that alright professor?" Lily turns to Slughorn
"Of course Ms.Evans, looks like Mr.Lupin and Ms.Mcdonald need some assistance"
Lily nods in thanks and walks towards Mary and Remus, Sirius following suit with Regulus resting on his hip
"Need a hand?" Lily asks Mary
"Yes, please, You're a lifesaver Lils!" Mary blows her a kiss, her cheeks pinking
"Wemus! You in twouble, I hewp you" Regulus declares
"okay Moony, let's see how you managed to make this into this sick green goo"
"Well sorry not everyone is a potions prodigy" Remus chides earning an eye roll from Sirius and a laugh from Regulus
"C'mon Wemus, we fix this"
They were able to salvage Remus' potion, which Regulus would like to fully take credit on even though he would just tell what Sirius' instructions are
Just before their dismissal, Regulus starts yawning, eyes droopy and his earlier energy already diminished, his head resting on Sirius' shoulder
"Looks like someone's already tired" Lily says
"Hm, he's always been like this, sleepy in the middle of the day, even now that…" he stops midway with that wistful look again
"You okay?" Remus asks this time noticing the sudden quietness and the furrowed brows
"Yeah, just a little tired myself" Sirius replied with a small smile before adjusting his hold on Regulus as the toddler now has completely dozed off, Lily and Remus gave each other a look, both unconvinced with Sirius' answer , both didn't pry and Remus tries to lighten up
"Here, I'll take him, your arms must be tired, he'll have lots of energy again later after the nap, we need to keep up"
Sirius did pass the toddler and Remus securely adjust the boy on his hip, head on his shoulder and small arms around his neck
"He looks more relax on you" Sirius teases, the mirth back in his eyes
"Says someone who doesn't try and make me their personal pillow"
"You're comfy"
"Get A room!" Lily teased, they really do forget the world when they start this flirty banters

It's already afternoon when Reggie woke up, they're back in the dorms and Sirius is asleep beside him
"Siwi…" Regulus poked his brother on the cheek to wake him up but it didn't work, he slowly stood up and walk towards the door, he heard people downstairs and curiously went to look
In the common room there are three girls, one had pixie hair and the other has pretty curls and then a red hair, Reggie knows the red hair
"LILY!" he ran towards her
"Hey Regulus" she greets
"Hello baby black" the girl with pixie hair greets
"Ohhh Hello kiddo" the pretty curls too
But Regulus kept her attention on Lily
"Regulus, where's Sirius?" Lily asks
"Sweepy"
"Huh, let's wake him up then so…"
"Awe you pwaying?" Regulus asks
"Ehmmm.."
"Oh yes we are playing!Do you want to join in?" The pixie hair asks
"Marls!" Lily nudges her
"Oh come on Lils, it would be cool to hang out with Lil Black here"
"What awe you playing?" Regulus asks
"We are going to paint Mary's nails and braid Lily's hair"
Reggie tilts his head, he likes braiding hair, Cissy would braid his hair too and Andy would put flowers on them and paint nails? They can paint nails? That sounds pretty
"Wanna bwaid haiw too!" He says
"ALRIGHT!"
"Was you names?"
The pixie hair smiles "I'm Marlene"
"Ma…Maween"
"And I'm Mary" The pretty curls says
"Mawy!"
The girls laughed and Mary went upstairs for a while to get the clips and the nail polish and the snacks, while Lily makes sure the Reggie is settled on the couch comfortably
"Lily, I bwaid youw haiw pwease?" Regulus looks at the girl and she smiles and agrees, sitting on the floor so that the boy can reach her head
Marlene and Mary settles too, painting each other's nails and also starts talking about somethings that had all of them laughing, even though Reggie understood none of it, he's just having time braiding Lily's hair although a little messy with his little fingers sometimes getting tangled in between as he plaits,
Now Lily sits with half of her head filled with clips,Mary painting on Lily's toes this time and Marlene braiding the toddler's floofy head of raven curls, then out of nowhere Marlene had an Idea …
"Hey Reggie, do you like to dress up?" She asks the toddler currently sipping on a sugar quill
"Yeah"
"Marls what are you on?" Mary asks amused and ready to agree on her plan
"Well I'm just thinking how baby Black looks like Sirius…"
"And?"
"You plan to dress him up like Sirius?" Lily grins
"Yep"
"So how do we do that?"
"I have just the thing…"
Regulus just continues snacking on the sweets waiting for what the girls are planning and hoping to join in too ..

Sirius woke up still feeling a bit tired, he was immediately snapped out of his sleepy haze when he realized the absence of a certain toddler that should've been sleeping beside him, he sprang up in panic
calling Regulus , he went down to the common rooms
"Holy cr…. icket, he looks like Sirius!" That was Mary
"It's Like Sirius but travel sized, easy to carry sort" Marlene gushed
"What's going on? And have you guys seen Reg–" Sirius wasn't able to finish his sentence as the girls turn to her and in the middle of them is his little brother
His little brother dressed in a leather jacket charmed to fit him, their uniform with a matching Gryffindor tie
Sirius just stares, his brows furrowed and a swirl of emotions in his eyes
"Reggie…"
"SIWI! Siwi wook! I wook wike you!" The boy toddled over to him twirling around, showing his outfit
Sirius just stood there still staring at the boy
"Siwi, I want to be just wike you!"
