Little Gremlin
Regulus is a gremlin, a whiny little gremlin who you just want to put on top of the highest cupboard just so he shuts up
Sirius is not having a fun morning, he woke up with a little foot in his mouth and another foot kicked him off of the bed , and the owner of said foot of course how could he forget? His de-aged baby brother who's lying starfished on his bed…
Then by the time they had to prepare for school, he had to wrestle the toddler out of bed,they had a tumble in the shower because the kid won't unlatch from him and now he's whining because he doesn't like his socks
"No! Too wam"
"It's socks, they're supposed to be warm"
" I have wittwe feet"
"Yes and?"
"Too wam"
Sirius wants to smack his head on the bed post , he doesn't remember Regulus being this difficult to dress when he's well chronologically little, well Sirius was five that time and the elves dress them so does he even know?whatever
"Just wear them" he says exasperated
"No"
"Okay if I find another pair would you wear them?"
"Kay"
In the end they settled for the thinnest socks Sirius could find in his trunk, he had shrunk them to fit and charmed some more clothes to shrink Regulus' toddler size,he really has to ask for Regulus' trunk later so he can shrink those clothes instead
And yes, Regulus would be coming with him to every class
"Oh looks like you guys are ready" Remus says still drying his hair
"Wemus! Goo Mowning!" Reggie greets
"Good morning to you too Regulus"
Remus continued getting ready, fixing his tie after putting on his jumper
"Wow, good morning to me too,Moony" Sirius pouts bewildered that his boyfriend didn't even greet him, he rolls his eyes turning to Regulus to finish dressing him up, he pouts while Reggie just tilts his head at the interaction
Then Regulus starts giggling and before Sirius can ask what's funny, Remus kisses him on the cheek
"Good morning, love" Remus says with a smug smirk as Sirius went three shades of red
"Wemus! You kiss Siwi!?" Regulus blinks at them in surprise
Sirius rubs his red cheeks and Remus had is turning a bit pink when he chuckles
"Yes Regulus, I kissed Sirius"
"But why?"
"Because he's my boyfriend" Sirius says still a little red
"Whas boyfwend?"
"Someone you really really like" Remus answers
"Why?"
"Because you like them"
"You wike Siwi?"
"Very much"
"Okay"
Regulus doesn't seem to actually understand it but he doesn't ask more questions
"Oh good morning to you three, Peter, look they're all adorable!" James leans on the door, he's dressed in his quidditch kit, Peter who's with him carrying one of his potted plants sniggers
"They're lovely aren't they?" Peter says
"Sod off both of you!" Sirius throws a sock at them as laughter filled the room and everyone scrambles in a mini chase
"Good morning Reggie" James coos when he noticed how the toddler looks at him with a scowl and narrowed eyes
"Go away,You wook ugwy!" the toddler turns his head away ,nose sticking up
James laughs and he shakes his head, he pretends to not notice that the toddler is beefing with him,eyes narrow and glaring but would turn when James smiles at him
At breakfast, heads turn seeing Sirius Black carrying a toddler babbling to Remus, as their merry group sat down the table, though there are stares and whispers no one dared to approach and ask, only the girls got to
"Wow, I've heard of what happened but I didn't imagine Baby Black is this tiny" Marlene says amused at the toddler Sirius settled on the seat beside him
"That's Regulus? Never thought I'd find him adorable, he usually looks like a tired cat" Mary shoves a piece of bacon in her mouth
"Hello" Lily greets at the Reggie who's now staring at her not paying mind to the others that made comment
"Hello to you too guys, and yes this is Regulus, say hi Reg" Sirius nudged the boy who waves shyly , a very big contrast to the whiny gremlin earlier
"Why are you shy now?" Sirius poked his cheek
"Nofing" The toddler muffled, hiding his face on Sirius leg
"It's okay Sirius, maybe he got shy with all the attention" Lily waves, and sat with the others
"Huh?" Sirius looks at his little brother who's looking wide eyed at Lily, he raises a brow but just shakes his head, he kinds of find it endearing
The girls got into their meals and their business, Lily and Mary in their own bubbled chatter and Marlene busily staring at the Slytherin table as she eats
Peter is talking about the recent prank idea he came up with, James backing it up and Sirius putting his own ideas in, Remus also pitching in , then
"Wean youw wules, you betew wearn you wules" a funny song and a tiny hand holding a fork sneaks in between Sirius' elbow and onto Sirius' plate
"If you don you be eatin in you sweep" Reggie shoved in a large chunk of sausage in his mouth, the sausage came from Sirius' plate
"Did you just steal my food?" Sirius looks at his baby brother, whose cheeks are filled with food he looked like a chipmunk , and the back to his own plate devoid of the sausage he filled in it
"Tis yummy" Regulus shrugs and continued eating
"I served you three of them!"
"Tis gone"
"You could have asked for another helping"
"Yous looks yummier"
"It's the same"
And to add on Sirius' defeat in debating his baby brother about their breakfast, Regulus stabs the remaining piece of bacon on Sirius' plate and eats it , and the little gremlin had the audacity to smile at him toothily
The whole table witnessing the exchange bursts into laughter, amused at Sirius
getting bested by the toddler
"Wean youw wules, you betew wearn youw wules, if you don you be eatin in you sweep!" Regulus sings happy at his little triumph
"Oh I'll feed you to the squid alright!" Sirius smiled mischievously and wriggled a finger to the Reggie's side a peal of laughter erupted
"No! No tickwe, Wemus hewp!" Regulus ducks down under the table to Remus' side who gladly kept him there laughing as well
"Moony you traitor!" Sirius gasps, Remus just gave him a teasing smile
"I can't believe this! First my food now my Moony? You're on two little rascal"
Their Morning started chaotic and it seems that their day would be as well…
