Sirius bursts at Slughorn who winced, they're in the Hospital Wing getting Regulus checked for other side effects of the potion, it was a chore, Regulus won't unlatch himself off Sirius no matter how much he was coaxed, even Barty tried, the only time Sirius was able to atleast make him sit still is when he promised to be where Regulus can see him the whole conversation was in French,and Sirius swears Barty is already at his shock quota
Now he's having an argument with Slughorn while Poppy checks on Regulus
"Mr.Black, the potion we were making was something akin to a polyjuice potion, its components…"
"I don't care about the potion, what I want to know is how to return my brother back to normal…"
"I'm afraid to say, we would have to wait until the effects wear off, just like polyjuice potion"
"And how long would that be Professor?"
"A month"
"A month? Regulus can't stay like that for a month"
Slughorn pursed his lips and Sirius wants to shake him and demand an actual solution for this, he's their potions professor and the head of house for Slytherin, surely he can try and make a solution for his "favorite student" as he would unsubtly dub Regulus
And yet here he is, pursed lip and slouched shoulders, resigned to just let the potion wear off
"Siwi! m'done" Regulus calls just as Pomfrey widens the curtains and Sirius is just about to throw in another argument at Slughorn
"He's alright, no other issues to worry about other than his situation as of the moment…"
"So, what now?" Barty, who Sirius forgot was there, honestly he gives more credit to him than their Professor
"It would take a month for the potion to wear off"
"What? That's it? No, maybe counter cures or antidotes that can turn him back?"
Sirius sighs and Barty palms his face, the tensed pause enough to answer the question
The sound of heels made Sirius turn and an almost relieved breath comes out of Sirius, Professor McGonagall being here at least eases the situation, she's strict and all but understanding and more reasonable
She spoke some words with Poppy and turns to them
"I've been informed of what happened…"
"Ah yes Minerva, unfortunately for Mr.Black's situation we can only wait for it wear off" Horace says
"Not even an antidote we can look into?" Minerva prompts and Horace just shooks his head
She nods and looks at Sirius
" Then regarding Mr. Black's condition…"
"Right, I'll be owling his parents of what happened" Horace added and both student looks at him incredulously
"No, he's staying with me, you're not owling my parents!"
"But –"
"No! He's gonna stay with me, I'm taking care of him, you're not owling my parents, especially not my mother!"
"Siwi,is mummy angy?why awe you cwying?"
Sirius wants to strangle Slughorn right now, for even suggesting telling their parents,
As if they'd actually care , they're only gonna care that something like this happened, send another damn howler to the school and what? Pick up Regulus to be "cared for" in that house? With Walburga's temper being almost non-existent? They would expect her to care for her de-aged child?
PREPOSTEROUS...
Sirius looks at Minerva, eyes knowing and understanding
"Siwi?"
He takes a deep breath and he faces Regulus, his brows furrowed looking at him
"No, I'm not crying and mum… she's not.. She's not here and she will not be here so she can't get angry okay?" Sirius tries to gently explain
"Uh huh"
"I do see that Mr.Black seems to be handling this,Horace… " Minerva gave Slughorn a pointed look
"Minerva.."
"Professor Slughorn and I would be informing the headmaster, Mr.Black, and Mr.Crouch"
"Thankyou Professor"
McGonagall gave both a reassuring nod and walks out of the wing with Horace reluctantly following her
They breathed in relief
"So, he's going with you, in the Gryffindor Dorm?" Barty asks
"Of course"
"Well, errhhmm, then uh good to know he's not going to that horrid house…so ehmm, I'll get going, see you Reg" he begins to walk away
"Crouch"
"Yeah?"
"Thanks" Sirius says
"Thank you, Bawty!" Regulus says as well and that got Barty smiling a little awkwardly at the still strange situation

The Dorm is still empty when Sirius arrives, he puts Regulus down on his bed, whose wide eyed staring at everything
"Where we?"
"It's our dorm, we'll stay here"
"Why?"
"Because, We are in school and we need to stay here "
"Oh..." The toddler shrugs
Footsteps can be heard outside and three people came squeezing in the door
"Pads! What happened we're waiting for you at the…" Peter blinks at him jaw slack as his eyes went to Sirius and the toddler currently sat on the bed
"What in Godric?" Remus looks as bewildered
"Padfoot, why is there a kid on your bed?" That's James
Sirius breaths,
"Well, Marauders, I want you to meet our new roommate, My Baby Brother"
"What?"

Regulus clings on his brother as he talks to the people, he told him that they are their roommates and his friends
Then his brother starts introducing him
The first one is Peter, he's blonde and he looks squishy , Regulus just blinks at him, then turn away
Then there's the tall boy with brown hair and scars on his face, Regulus stares at him and he sees that he has a book, Reggie like books
"What dat?" He points at the book
The brown haired boy, Remus laughs and showed the book
"It's Anne of Green Gables"
Regulus thinks it's a pretty book, he doesn't know how to read much yet but he likes to read it
"Siwi, can I ask Wemus to read me the book?"
Sirius chuckles
"Of course Remus would immediately get your attention, it's all about books "
"If you like it then I don't mind"
Reggie gets excited, he decides he likes Remus and his books
Sirius then introduced James, Reggie looks at him, then he scowls and turns away
"I don't wike him" He says and James laughs, why is he laughing if Reggie doesn't like him? He's silly
"What? Why?" Sirius asks
"He's smiwey! My eyes huwt" he whines with a frown
James laughs harder much to Reggie's dismay
He decided...
He doesn't like James, not one bit

Sirius looks at Regulus' sleeping form, he had easily fallen asleep the events of the day taking a toll on him
He had explained everything to James, Peter and Remus then Reggie whines that he's hungry, they shared dinner inside the dorm, Pete offered Reggie some sweets and the sweet toothed kid that he is, he doesn't hesitate to accept, at least he likes Peter now and he also hog all of Remus attention, pestering him to read Anne of Green Gables to him, Sirius doesn't know if he's relieved he likes Remus or if he's a little jealous...
Excuse me Remus ,that's my baby brother and excuse me Reggie, that's my Moony!..
Well atleast he likes Moony, everybody likes Moony and Regulus likes anyone who can read him books
James though, he still doesn't like James, no matter what James try to do, it's hilarious and a little pitiful to see
Sirius takes in the cherubic cheeks and the sleeping position that Reggie never grew out of, both hands raised at the side of his head curled into little fists
"Siwi…you wake?" Reggie yawns, rubbing his eyes
"Yeah,you go back to sleep"
"No I stay wake, wait tiw you sweep"
"No, you go back to sleep or else you'll be Mr.Grumpy in the morning" he run his finger on the bridge of the toddler's nose
He let's out a whine, before tugging on Sirius' sleeves
"Sweep now!" He pulls on Sirius
He lets out a groan then settles beside the toddler, who immediately cuddled close head on Sirius' chest ,an arm and a leg on his stomach
"Why am I your pillow?"
"Uh huh, my piwwow, my favowite piwwow, my favowite Siwi"
"But I'm the only Siri"
"You my favowite"
He falls asleep not knowing the turmoil of emotions in those words
Still his favorite, always his favorite
