"Albus, this is madness! Stop it!" Ollivander shouted, but to no avail. Dumbledore sent another curse towards him.
The trees around shook and splintered with the force of the blast. Garrick's eyes met Dumbledore's and he realised nothing he'd say would stop the other man from killing him.
"Indeed. You know too much." Another curse was sent his way, which he barely dodged.
"You're reading my mind?"
"Quite easily."
"Why did you do it? Why did you kill Alastor and Gregorovitch?"
"Well Alastor was getting too suspicious at my insistence to keep Potter at the Dursleys. Ha! The boy needs to be reigned if we want him to die anytime soon. And Gregorovitch, as you, knew I had the Elder wand.*
"You're insane! What happened to you?"
"Nothing happened to me. I've always wanted to rule the world. Such a pity Voldemort's demise was put into a child's hands… but I'll take care of that too. Once I've taken care of you."
