Beginnings
The world has changed in many ways over the centuries. Time flies when you're deaths master.
I can vividly remember my childhood. The Dark lord, my closest friends. I can also remember when I was captured. I stopped aging, and Death was unable to contact me until our bond was solidified. Meaning I didn't know what was going on with me.
I was taken into the department of ministries, and torn apart, down to my very molecules. After everything I'd done for the wizarding world, this was how they repaid me. It hurt finding out my best friends were the reasons behind it. When the bond solidified, Death showed his displeasure, killing anyone and everyone associated with what happened to me. When I was fully cleansed by him, the potions that were apparently fed to me as a baby by Dumbledore, were gone. I finally had my true looks. Granted, I looked more like my mother than anything now. I still had my fathers black hair, until the bond with death solidified, turning it completely white. Not a strand of silver in sight. My bright green eyes and facial features were all my mother. My height didn't raise, leaving me at a whooping 5'6 for eternity sadly, but my feminine beauty was a great help in many situations though. I grabbed my Godson, Teddy, and left the wizarding world.
As time passed, their numbers began to decrease. I kept away, my son knowing everything as I'd never kept secrets from him when he grew older. He was beyond angry, his wolf wanting revenge. I could only smile in thanks at having a son as protective as him.
When he turned eighteen, he decided to complete the familial bond with me, ensuring he stayed as protected by death as I am myself. Sadly, he wasn't able to be given power over deaths magic, as his body wouldn't be able to handle it.
Time passed, and we traveled the world, becoming students together, teachers, businessmen, Teddy even became an athlete. Eventually, the wizarding world died out, and we spent years raiding everything, ensuring no one got their hands on what was left. We destroyed the different cities and structures that were once teeming with wizards and witches, before going completely underground.
We'd spent the next many years learning even more from the new knowledge we'd gained from the families and departments we'd raided.
When we came back into the world, a new breed of vampire was now existing, alongside apparent vampire hunters. I didn't care much how they came to be, living my life alongside my son.
It was during a harsh winter that I came across one, not even knowing. They were on the ground, in obvious pain. I rushed over, kneeling and hushing them when I mistook a growl for a grumble. "It's okay. Hush, now." I whispered, placing my hands on their chest. I began healing anything and everything I could. Their eyes widened, and I smiled softly. Unable to see their face through the hood they were wearing, I looked in the general direction of their eyes. "You'll be okay." I smile kindly. "Next time, don't go out in bad weather." I scold. "What if I hadn't passed you?" I crease my eyebrows, tilting my head as I finish up his healing.
I smile brightly when I finish, grabbing him gently and helping him sit up. "Alright, you're going to feel a little tingle, don't panic." I dry his clothes quickly, before sending a warming charm to him. "All done. The charm won't wear off until you will it away." I hum, tilting my head. "Um... I guess just tell it to stop?" I shrug, standing before my wrist is grabbed. I look back down to the man, eyes widening. "Oh! Here." I shake my head, helping him stand. "I'm so sorry. It's been quite some time since I've spoken to someone new." I finish with a sheepish laugh.
When he stands fully, I look up into his eyes, not seeing the red glow. I scowl. "So unfair."
His chuckle has me craning my neck to look back up to him. "Thank you..." His deep voice trails off.
I smile once more waving my free hand. "It's no worries. I'm Hadrian Peverell." I nod before my phone beeps.
I grab it, answering the call quickly, sighing at the whining from Teddy. "Yes, yes. I'm coming." I soothe.
"You could have left a note that you were leaving." He grumbles, his protective instincts on overdrive.
I sigh, nodding to myself. "I forgot, I'm sorry." I wince, feeling bad. "I'll be back soon."
He hangs up, and I look back up to the man. "Sorry. Children these days, truly." I shake my head with a sigh.
He hums, nodding and I move away from him, realizing he's released my wrist. "I've got to get going, but please don't do something dangerous like this again." I raise an eyebrow.
He chuckles again, shaking his head. "Will do. Thank you again... Hadiran."
I beam at him before turning to leave, not knowing who Kaname Kuran was, let alone what he looked like.
Life continued, the years passing. I ended up becoming friends with many supernatural's, vampires and hunters alike. Having a supernatural community that didn't know of Harry Potter, but Hadiran Peverell, meant I didn't need to hide any longer. I continued to aid when help was needed, ensuring both factions stayed out of the others business, and aiding with pregnancy and births occasionally as my magic could do practically anything at this point.
Kain Cross became one of my favorite hunters. He was strong, and truly enjoyable to be around. He knew more about me than anyone else. Granted, not everything, that was reserved for Teddy, but enough. He's a true friend I became grateful for. It was through him that I met the Kurans. Julie was a sweetheart, her husband just as kind.
I found myself being invited to dinners and parties they threw, meeting many new vampires vying for my attention. It grated on my nerves, even if there was a smile on my face.
I ended up resting for a few years, and came back to Kain, noticing the two children under his care. Learning of the tragedy of both their families, I felt nothing but heartache and kinship. I bonded with Zero immediately. It was like the boy knew that he's living as I once did, confused, hurt, scared. I took him under my wing, teaching him, guiding him. I gained the title of his master easily but felt like the strongest man on earth (pun aside) when he called me Ge.
He took to Teddy like a duck to water, the two quickly becoming inseparable. I sometimes forget that for all I never got a true childhood, neither did teddy. Seeing him being able to act like a child once more with Zero, filled my heart. Throughout it all, I also bonded with Yuki, just not as closely. She was a cute kid, and she also called me Ge. I didn't train her, as she needed to be older to decide, but I did ensure her naivety about the world wasn't as bad as it used to be. She was still naive, but not as bad.
When I took Zero out for missions or adventures with Teddy, she'd meet up with her savior, Kaname. I'd never met the man, but surely Kain trusts him.
The years passed, and it was time for me to go rest. Death's power needs a reprieve every few centuries, to ensure I keep control. Teddy decided to come with me, as usual, and we departed with sad goodbyes. I promised I'd return in a few years, and here I am now, walking into Kain's office, Teddy at my side.
The man jumps up in excitement. "Hadrian!" He shouts, barreling into me with tears in his eyes.
I laugh, holding him back. "Kain. I've missed you." I comment into his chest.
He releases me to grab Teddy, the boy grumbling but accepting the hold.
We all sit, catching up before Kain perks up, looking to Teddy. "Would you like to go to classes? Maybe help out with the defense program with Zero and Yuki?" He looks to me. "That's if... you maybe can stay?" He asks, or more like pleads.
I chuckle, shaking my head. "That's fine. I can even teach a few classes if you need the help."
Tears begin trailing down his face. "Are you okay with teaching the night class? I have a friend coming to help, but if I could split the classes between you both that would be amazing."
I nod, agreeing before Teddy is changing into his new black Day Class uniform. "Alright, now where are the brats?" I ask fondly.
His eyes warm, always happy to see the four of us together. "They should be patrolling now." He comments.
I nod before accepting the information on our new rooms and leaving. Teddy and I make it out into the dark night, beginning to walk through the forest. It's when I look up to the building and see two figures, that I chuckle, grabbing Teddy and nodding to them. He perks up, jumping up onto a tree to make his way to them. I roll my eyes, walking into the building and climbing the stairs, coming to the roof to see the three of them hugging. I smirk, crossing my arms and walking over to them. "No love for this Ge, hm?" I tease.
Yuki and zero freeze, before I'm being pulled into all three of them. I laugh, holding them back.
When I pull away, I pat Zero and Yuki on the head, zero having to bend for me, which I scowl at. He chuckles and I roll my eyes. "How have you both been?" I ask softly, smiling as I look between them.
They begin rambling, finishing each other's sentences and I smile fondly, listening closely.
I'm able to sense the seal on Zero weakening, and plan on helping him in the very near future before I'm looking at my watch. "Alright, Kain said Teddy is all yours, go ahead children, I'll see you soon." They each hug me before jumping down, showing Teddy everything.
I turn away, not seeing the red eyes that haven't left my form since I appeared. They're not the least bit angry, but instead feeling calm for the first time in centuries.
I make my way to my new room, close to the night dorms, grateful there's no one in the building. Using my magic, I enlarge the space, adding a few rooms and turning it into a small home. Once everything is clean, I unpack and add my furniture, happy with the finished product. I run a bath before cleaning myself up and getting in. It's soothing, and I think over how I'm going to help Zero. The easiest route would be bonding with him like I did Teddy, but there's a chance he doesn't want to become a full Vampire, which is what would happen if we bonded. He'd move from a level D to a level B at the least. I need a second option, just in case. Deciding to speak with Kain about it tomorrow, I nod to myself, getting out and dressing. My long white hair is braided back, before I'm laying down in bed and closing my eyes. It's almost morning and I have a long day... or night, ahead of me.
