Chapter 9

Kalevi and Draco found themselves perched in the stands, their eyes fixed on the first task of the Triwizard Tournament. The air crackled with anticipation as they watched the champions face off against formidable dragons.

"I can't believe it's finally starting," Kalevi whispered, his voice tinged with excitement.

Draco nodded, his gaze unwavering. "It's going to be a spectacle, that's for sure."
As the dragons roared and flames danced in the sky, Kalevi couldn't help but feel a surge of pride for his brother. "I hope August is prepared for this. He's always been resourceful."

Draco glanced at Kalevi, a flicker of admiration in his eyes. "Your brother has faced tougher challenges than this. I have no doubt he'll handle it with finesse."

“How do you think Potter will do?" Kalevi asked, looking back over at Draco. Draco snorted,

"Potter? He's always been lucky, hasn't he? But luck can only take you so far. I don't think he'll be able to handle the pressure like the others can," Draco replied with a hint of arrogance.

Kalevi chuckled, knowing that Draco had never been one to give Potter any credit. "Well, we'll just have to wait and see. It's anyone's game at this point."
Fleur Delacour stood before the towering Welsh Green Dragon, her heart pounding in her chest. The scaly beast snarled and snapped, its fiery breath filling the air with a searing heat. Fleur took a deep breath, summoning all of her courage.

Meanwhile, Draco and Kalevi watched from the stands, their eyes fixed on the intense spectacle unfolding below.

"Look at her," Draco remarked, his voice tinged with awe. "She's fearless."

Kalevi nodded, admiration shining in his eyes. "Fleur is truly remarkable."

As the dragon lunged towards Fleur, she swiftly dodged its ferocious attack, her silver hair billowing behind her. With a flick of her wand, she conjured a distraction, allowing her to make a daring dash towards the golden egg.

Draco leaned closer to Kalevi, shock evident in his voice. "She's bloody going for it!"

Kalevi held his breath as Fleur reached out, her hand inches away from the precious prize. With lightning speed, she snatched the golden egg and raced back towards safety.

"Fleur did it!" Kalevi exclaimed.

The crowd erupted in cheers and applause as Fleur triumphantly held the golden egg aloft. Her face was flushed with exhilaration, a mixture of relief and pride evident in her eyes. Draco couldn't help but feel a surge of respect for the Beauxbatons champion.

Viktor Krum faced the formidable Chinese Fireball Dragon with unwavering determination. The massive creature roared, its fiery breath engulfing the arena in a scorching blaze. Krum's heart raced as he calculated his next move.

Draco glanced at Kalevi, noticing his excitement bubbling over. He couldn't help but indulge him. "What's wrong with you"

Kalevi's eyes sparkled with enthusiasm as he launched into a lecture. "It's the Chinese Fireball Dragon! Native to eastern Asia, it's known for its vibrant crimson scales and aggressive temperament. Highly territorial and fiercely protective of its eggs."

Draco nodded, impressed by Kalevi's knowledge. "And how do you think Krum will handle it?"

Kalevi grinned, unable to contain his excitement any longer. "Oh, Krum is well-prepared for this challenge. He's a part of Durmstrang, which has whole lectures on creatures with fire abilities."

As Krum dodged the dragon's lunges and redirected its attention with well-timed spells, Kalevi continued to share fascinating tidbits about dragon anatomy and strategy. Draco found himself captivated by Kalevi's passion and expertise.

In the end, Krum seized the golden egg from under the fierce jaws of the Chinese Fireball, earning him cheers from the crowd. Kalevi turned to Draco, his eyes shining with pride and nervousness.

“August is next,” Kalevi said, voice partially trembling.

"Yeah, he'll do fine," Draco muttered, hand slowly making its way over to Kalevi's grazing it before pulling away, face flushing red.

Draco's heart raced as he watched August step into the arena. The Swedish Short-Snout. Dragon loomed before him, its scales glistening in the sunlight. Draco couldn't help but feel a mix of anxiety and anticipation for his friend.

As August faced off against the dragon, Kalevi leaned in closer to Draco, their shoulders touching. Draco could feel the warmth radiating from Kalevi's body and it only added to his nervousness.

"He's got this," Kalevi whispered, his voice filled with determination and nervousness almost as if he was trying to convince himself.
Draco nodded, trying to hide the butterflies in his stomach.

With each dodge and spell cast by August, the crowd erupted in cheers of support. The tension was palpable as everyone held their breaths, waiting for that crucial moment when August would seize the golden egg.

And then it happened - with a burst of speed and precision, August snatched the golden egg from under the nose of the Swedish Short-Snout. Dragon. The crowd exploded into applause as they witnessed another champion triumph over adversity.

Kalevi turned to Draco with a wide smile on his face, unable to contain his excitement any longer. "He did it! I knew he would!"

"Three of our champions have now faced their dragons and so each one of them will proceed to the next task. And now our fourth and final contestant," Dumbledore's voice roared through the arena.

Draco leaned closer to Kalevi, his voice dripping with disdain. "Potter thinks he's so clever, doesn't he? Just watch, he'll mess this up somehow."

Kalevi scoffed in agreement, his eyes narrowing at the sight of Harry struggling with the dragon. "He's nothing but a show-off. Can't stand him."

As they watched Harry dart around the arena, their conversation filled with snide remarks and mocking laughter. They revealed in his every misstep, relishing in his failure.

But as Harry finally managed to retrieve the golden egg, Draco's face twisted into a scowl. "Lucky," he muttered under his breath.

Kalevi shot him a knowing look, a smirk playing at the corners of his lips. "Luck or not, he still managed it. Can't deny that."

Draco grumbled in frustration, unable to hide his annoyance at Harry's success.
