Diagon Alley
[The next day, in the streets of London. Euphemia and Hagrid are in the underground tube.]
"First year students will require: three sets of work robes, one wand." Euphemia quietly reads the list. She turns to Hagrid in confirmation.
"Essential bit of equipment, Euphemia." Hagrid tells the girl when he hears her quiet voice.
"One pair of dragon-hide gloves." She turns to Hagrid again, quickly, "Hagrid, does this mean dragons are real?" Her voice expressed her excitement at the possibility of dragons being real.
Her excitement makes people chuckle at the innocence and curiosity that she displays, knowing she couldn't express herself while living with her vile relatives.
Poseidon smiles widely at the adorable young version of the woman he loves. He wonders if they ever had a daughter if she would act and have the same excited look that Amary had. The thought makes a thrill go up his spine at the thought of another child with Amary, especially a little girl who looks Amary.
He glances at Amary, who is looking at her younger self with a smile, remembering her excitement and curiosity of going into a new world.
Amary, feeling eyes on her, glances to the side to see Poseidon staring intently at her, which makes her blush. She looks back at her younger self on screen as her thoughts drift to the idea of a little girl, unknowingly picking up on Poseidon's train of thought.
Percy and Teddy look at their mom on screen, having only seen glimpses of moments like this where her excitement and curiosity have shown through to adulthood. She's been so busy during their childhood protecting and caring for them that she didn't have much time for her own learning and curiosity. With a push from both of them, she only recently started on her business.
George sadly looks at the girl on screen who's excited and curious then at the woman she became, he had to watch over the years as that excitement, curiosity, and innocence was killed in order to survive. His sister had almost lost her entire family twice, her future with both her school sweethearts lost to death.
"They are. Heh. Crikey, I'd love a dragon." Hagrid tells the excited girl whose eyes shine at the fact of a reality with dragons.
Euphemia gazes at the ceiling daydreaming, "I'd love to see a real dragon."
"I have since seen dragons from that moment." Amary informs
"When?" Nico questions the woman. He can practically feel the acceptance and death magic radiate off the woman.
She voices her thoughts as she thinks, "Well, there was Norberta," People listen to her monologue.
The name makes people confused except the Weasley's, but she continues, "Then there was the tournament..." She trails off with a cringe. The witches and wizards also cringe at that.
However, before the Greeks can ask questions, she continues, "Then I believe lastly was the bank breakout. That's all I can remember right now."
Bank Breakout confuses everyone, including her siblings, "Wait, what? What do you mean bank breakout?" Neville asks, concerned and highly worried.
Amary pauses at that, forgetting that not everyone knows about that. "Did you break into a bank?" Ginny questions, shocked.
"Yes, Gringotts. And it wasn't just me. It was also Ron and Hermione. It's when we went on the run." Amary sheepishly and smugly tell everyone.
Her words shock everyone even more, especially her sons and Poseidon. Apollo and Hermes start laughing, Amary sports a few giggles from their laughing, but they are the only ones who are laughing.
"I think mom might actually be worse than Percy. At least he's never broken into a bank." Teddy shakes his head, still in shock.
"And he's never gone on the run from the cops for very long." Grover states, remembering that they got better at evading cops as they got older.
"Vastly misunderstood beasts, Euphemia. Vastly misunderstood." Hagrid tells the girl who's now looking at him. Hagrid suddenly eyes a woman, and then he nods. The woman returns to reading her paper. Euphemia looks confused by the interaction but goes back to daydreaming about dragons.
This makes people curious and lean closer, wondering what's going on.
[The next scene, Hagrid and Euphemia, are walking down the streets.]
"All students must be equipped with... one standard size 2 pewter cauldron and may bring, if they desire, either an owl, a cat, or a toad. Could we find all this in London?" Euphemia questions, knowing that the majority of these things you can't find in London.
"If you know where to go." Hagrid tells the curious girl.
[They walk towards a corner store, and as they get closer, the sign above it has "The Leaky Cauldron" magically appearing. They enter the Leaky Cauldron. There was music and several patrons that are speaking to each other.]
"Ah, Hagrid! The usual, I presume?" Tom, the barkeep, asks the half giant.
"No thanks, Tom. I'm on official Hogwarts business today. Just helpin' young Euphemia here buy her school supplies." Hagrid gestures to the small girl who stands at his side, who's looking around the pub.
"Shouldn't say that." Luna's soft voice chimes up. From where she's watching. People wonder why she's saying that.
"Bless my soul. It's Euphemia Potter!" Tom exclaims at the sight of the famous young girl. His sudden loudness makes her jump, and she quickly looks at the man behind the bar.
[The pub immediately goes silent, and everyone notices. Euphemia looked around again at the sudden quietness.]
This shocks the wizards and witches, except Amary, "It's never been that quiet before." Draco comments in shock.
"Or quiet at all." Teddy adds his own comment. The people who've been there nod along, knowing that they are right.
The Greeks understood their shock.
A man comes up and shakes Euphemia's hand. "Welcome back, Ms. Potter. Welcome back." Euphemia looks surprised and kind of uncomfortable.
The man's comment confuses the Greeks.
A witch comes up and shakes Euphemia's hand, as well. "Doris Crockford, Ms. Potter. I can't believe I'm meeting you at last." Euphemia still looks surprised and uncomfortable as she shakes the witch's hand.
The Greeks quickly remember that Amary was famous. However, they can clearly see that the girl is highly uncomfortable. They look at the woman and see she's also uncomfortable watching her fame.
[A man in robes with a turban on his head appears. It is Professor Quirrell.]
"Euphemia P-potter. C-can't tell you how p-pleased I am to meet you." Quirrell stutters out to the girl who looks at him confused.
His former students groan at the sight of the man, which makes people look at them, to see them all sporting frowns and glares aimed at the man on screen.
"Why do you all hate him?" Teddy questions, not remembering why they would hate the man besides his annoying voice.
"You'll find out, but he's a parasite." George jokes, which makes his former students snicker.
"Do we have to deal with him when we get out of here?" Artemis questions willing to deal with the man who bothered Amary when she was young.
Amary waves that away, "No, I've already killed him." Amary casually says, which completely shocks the Greeks, especially Poseidon and her sons.
"Wait, what?!" Percy loudly questions, Teddy doesn't remember anything about his mom killing her teacher.
"At the end of this movie, I kill him. It'll be explained more. Just keep watching." Amary tells them which they reluctantly do.
"Hello, Professor. I didn't see you there. Euphemia, this is Professor Quirrell. He'll be yer Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher at Hogwarts." Hagrid tells the girl who's looking at Quirrell with slightly narrowed and uncomfortable eyes. She can't believe that he's the professor.
"He's the professor?" Clarisse questions while she looks at the man in disbelief. The others agree with her statement. The former students give their confirmation.
Athena is looking at the man with squinted eyes, "His stutter is very fake." Amary nods along, having picked it up at the first meeting.
"It is, but he was dumb enough to convince everyone else." Amary shrugs. George, Neville, and Draco look at her in offense. Ginny and Luna laugh at them.
"Nice to meet you." Euphemia quietly says, putting out her hand, offering a handshake with Quirrell, even if she doesn't want to shake hands with all these random people. But he looks at Euphemia's head and hesitatingly refuses.
This makes the Greeks look at the man in suspicion.
"F-fearfully f-fascinating subject. N-not that you need it, e-eh, Potter? Heheh." Quirrell stutters out. His words and refusal make her even more suspicious of the strange man.
"Yes, well, mus' be goin' now. Lots to buy. Heh-heh-heh." Hagrid tells the professor.
[Euphemia quietly says her goodbye's. As they start to walk away, Euphemia looks back at the Defense professor who is staring at her, making chills go up her spine so she quickly turns back around. The two leave into a back room winery in front of a brick wall.]
"Creepy." Thalia comments, which makes people nod along.
"See, Euphemia? You're famous!" Hagrid tells the uncomfortable and confused girl.
"But why am I famous, Hagrid? All those people back there, how do they know who I am? I've never met any of them." Euphemia quietly tells the large man. This whole situation is confusing her.
"You didn't know that you're famous?" Draco questions.
Amary shakes her head, "No, as we've seen, I didn't know anything about magic. I didn't even know about my own parents."
Her answer makes people sad for the girl, who, while excited and curious about that new world, was also very confused about her place in it.
"I'm not sure I'm exactly the right person to tell you that, Euphemia." Hagrid evades the question which confuses and frustrates the girl.
[Hagrid taps the brick wall clockwise with his umbrella. The blocks then magically shift and open up to reveal a hidden, busy street called Diagon Alley.]
The Greeks look shocked at the street while the witches and wizards have smiles, remembering their first time in the magical alley.
"Welcome, Euphemia, to Diagon Alley." Hagrid tells the excited girl who lights up at the magic alley. Euphemia smiles excitedly as they step into the street and walk down it. An owl screeches. "Here's where yeh'll get yer quills and yer ink, and over there all yer bits and bobs fer doing yer wizardry." Hagrid tells the girl whose head whips in multiple directions, trying to look at everything.
Her curiosity makes people smile, while the demigods understand being part of a whole new magical world, especially Annabeth, who is also very curious about things and wants new information.
[Euphemia is amazed as they pass by shops and owls and bats. The camera pans on a broom store, where a group of boys are crowded around a shiny broom.]
"It's a world-class racing broom." One of the kids says as they all at it.
"Wow! Look at it! The new Nimbus 2000!" Another says.
"It's the fastest model yet." One of the boys tells the others. The camera pans to see the broom's model name on the handle.
Amary smiles at the sight of her very first broom. "My very first broom." The nostalgia is hitting her hard. George winces, remembering what happened to that broom.
The Greeks stare shocked, especially the demigods, "You actually fly around on brooms?"
Teddy laughs along with Amary, "We do." Teddy tells them.
Poseidon looks at Amary, who has a bittersweet smile at the thought of flying on brooms again.
Teddy looks at his mom, knowing that it's been years since she flew on a broom and that she misses it at times.
