Doorstep Delivery
[It is nighttime in Surrey. We see an owl on the street sign "PRIVET DRIVE" and the camera pans to the street with very identical looking brown brick houses. The owl flies away and an elderly man with crimson robes and a long silvery white beard named Albus Dumbledore walks out of a forest near the street, past a tabby cat standing next to what looks like a shed. He takes out his deluminator and activates it. Dumbledore zaps all the light out of the lampposts. He puts away the device and a cat meows.]
"I should have known that you would be here...Professor McGonagall." Dumbledore looks down at the cat.
[The cat silently looks at him, and the camera turns towards a wall. The cat's shadow turns into a woman with a tall hat and emerald robes. There are footsteps, and Minerva McGonagall is revealed.]
This shocks Rachel and the Greeks except Hecate. "How did you do that?" Athena curiously asks the woman. The others wondered the same.
"I'm an animagi. Certain witches and wizards go through a ritual to become an animal which embodies them." McGonagall tells the goddess. Sirius and James share a secretive look that makes Remus and Lily shake their head at their spouses.
"Good evening, Professor Dumbledore. Are the rumors true, Albus?" McGonagall asks, upset with tears in her eyes.
People question what she means by rumors.
"I'm afraid so, Professor. The good, and the bad." Dumbledore confirms, the twinkle absent. His words make the tears fall in the woman's eyes, which she pats away.
"And the girl?" McGonagall asks, hoping the baby is okay.
Marina looks questioningly at the screen, having a feeling she's the girl mentioned.
"Hagrid is bringing her." Dumbledore stands beside the woman while watching the sky.
"Do you think it wise to trust Hagrid with something as important as this?" McGonagall questions the man beside her, also looking around for the man.
"Ah, Professor, I would trust Hagrid with my life." Dumbledore assures the woman who looks at him.
Hagrid blushes, and thanks the headmaster.
Blaise whispers to his friends, "Just not with your secret. He can't keep his mouth shut."
"Tell yourself that, Blaise." Marina teases the Italian boy.
"Says you, miss-my-mouth-gets-me-into-trouble-with-immortal-beings." Annabeth cuts in. Marina's jaw drops that Annabeth exposed her; Grover, Thalia, Nico, and Rachel snicker, even Clarisse smirks. While Hermione, Ron, Blaise, and Theo stare at their friend and girlfriend shocked.
[There is a motor sound, and the two professors look up to see a flying motorcycle coming down from the air. It skids on the street and halts. A large man with shoulder-length black hair and beard named Rubeus Hagrid takes off his goggles.]
Sirius stares at the motorcycle on screen, "That's my motorcycle!"
Hephaestus looks up from what he's working on, the motorcycle giving him an idea.
"That reminds me of Apollo's sun chariot." Marina tells her Greek friends. Thalia frowns at the reminder of the chariot.
The twins and Theo all yell out, "Can I have it?"
Which makes the majority yell, "NO!" Said boys pout. Theo turns to Marina, who just kisses his pout with turns to a smirk as he deepens the kiss.
"NO!" James quickly separates the two, dragging Marina over where he and Lily were sitting. Theo just frowns before feeling eyes on him. He looks away from his girlfriend getting doted on by her mother. He finds sea green eyes glaring at him.
Theo gulps and sinks in his seat beside Blaise, who took Marina's seat to flirt with Annabeth.
"Professor Dumbledore, Sir. Professor McGonagall." Hagrid greets the two.
"No problems, I trust, Hagrid?" Dumbledore questions.
"No, sir. Little doll fell asleep just as we were flying over Bristol. Heh. Try not to wake her. There you go." Hagrid tells the two while handing a baby wrapped in a bundle over to Dumbledore.
"That's me, isn't it?" Marina questions.
"I believe so, my girl." Dumbledore questions. This makes people look at the baby, trying to see her scar. Theo looks to see the adorable baby version of his girlfriend.
"Albus, do you really think it's safe, leaving her with these people? I've watched them all day. They're the worst sort of Muggles imaginable. They really are..." McGonagall tries to negotiate.
Marina nods from her seat between her parents, which is noticed by Lily and Sally. They get worried about her while Sally wonders what Marina didn't tell her.
"The only family she has." Dumbledore states.
"What about Remus? He could raise her." McGonagall tries.
Dumbledore shakes his head, "You know the ministry won't allow that considering his condition."
Sirius growls while holding his husband, who sinks down. "Thanks for trying, Minnie." Remus tells her.
McGonagall adjusts her glasses, "Of course, Mr. Lupin. However, refrain from calling me Minnie." She stares down at the boys she taught.
[McGonagall frowns, knowing he's correct. She thinks some more before it clicks.]
"What about James' cousin in America, Sally?" McGonagall offers, which makes Dumbledore pause, thinking it over.
[Hagrid and McGonagall watch the man while he thinks it over, Dumbledore looks down at the sleeping baby. She's peacefully sleeping like she doesn't know what happened earlier that night.]
"That should work. Well, let's get to it. We're going to America."
[The three walk away from the house before aparating away. Some time has passed, and they are walking down the streets of Manhattan, New York. People who are still out are eyeing their weird clothes and Hagrid's size but otherwise mind their business.]
"Her apartment should be around here." McGonagall states.
[They look around for a bit before finally finding it. They knock on the door, and a few minutes later, a voice calls out.]
"I've got a knife! Who are you?!" A woman's voice calls out while McGonagall looks shocked, Hagrid looks confused, and Dumbledore doesn't look surprised.
The auror's nod, glad she's on guard. Sally blushes a little embarrassed.
"It's Albus Dumbledore, Minerva McGonagall, and Rubeus Hagrid. We are here on behalf of James and Lily, Ms. Jackson." Dumbledore answers through the door.
[The door cracks open, and you can see a blue eye peek through the crack at them. The eye drifts down to the baby bundled in Dumbledore's arms. The eye widens, recognizing the baby. The door is quickly shut and unlocked. It opens to show Sally Jackson standing in her pajamas and a knife in hand.]
"What happened to James and Lily?" She asks with tears in her eyes.
"Shall we go inside and discuss things?" Dumbledore grimly says, confirming Sally's fears.
[Sally starts crying, and McGonagall moves forward to comfort the woman. They all go inside the house.]
The hall becomes somber, remembering what happened to the couple. Their loved ones tear up at the reminder.
"She will be famous. There won't be a child in our world who doesn't know her name." McGonagall tells Sally.
[Some time has passed, and the four adults sit around her living room. The room is warm and inviting but seems cold with the weather and somber mood. Sally is holding Marina while McGonagall sits by her side.]
"Exactly. She's better off growing up away from all that. Until she is ready." Dumbledore confirms.
"Does she have to see Lily's sister? Lily never talked about her sister." Sally asks.
"For good reason." James states, remembering when he met her. Lily looks at the floor, upset. She remembers the last time she saw her sister and the hurtful words Petunia spoke to her.
Seeing her moms hurt expression, Marina hugs her mom and lays her head on her shoulder. Lily smiles and kisses her daughter's head. James, seeing them, decides to join their hug, squishing Marina between them.
"Why did you have to see her?" Someone questions in the hall.
"Basically, when my mom sacrificed herself to protect me, it gave me protection, which is renewed by her blood. The only blood relatives of my mother left are my aunt and cousin." Marina gives an explanation. This makes people nod.
Dumbledore nods, "Yes, at least a week every year. I will have a portkey set up so you both can travel to and from London. A letter was sent to Mrs. Dursley, so she knows the situation."
[Hagrid sniffles. He is sobbing a little. He clears his throat. McGonagall pats the man's arm from her seat beside Sally.]
"There, there, Hagrid. It's not really goodbye, after all." Dumbledore tells the half giant.
[Sally walks the three to the door, still holding the sleeping baby.]
"Good luck to you both." Dumbledore says as he leaves.
[Sally locks the door behind them before looking down at the baby.]
"I will love you as my own Marina." Sally whispered her promise to the baby.
Lily, James, and Poseidon give the woman a thankful look, which she just waves off.
"You fulfilled that. Thank you for loving me." Marina gets up and hugs the woman tightly, Sally tears up and hugs her back.
People coo and awe at the cute moment on screen and in front of them. Theo has a soft smile on his face.
Hestia sports a happy and soft smile while looking at the two, feeling the love of family radiating between the two.
[The baby has a lightning-bolt shaped scar on her forehead. The camera slowly zooms towards the scar, which glows brightly, and it immediately flashes, transitioning to a stormy cloud sky. The film's title in metallic gold zooms out around the camera, and lightning flashes to brighten it up. Then, the lightning flashes engulf the screen, transitioning it to the present time.]
Someone gasps, and people turn to see Narcissa Malfoy staring shocked at the screen. "What is it, mother?" Draco questions worried.
"That's a cursed scar." Narcissa states. This makes people look at Marina, who stares at the floor as she ghosts over her scar. She thinks back to all the times that it hurts her and warns her, and makes her see things.
Worried looks are shared around the room, while Marina's loved ones look at her.
