The Meeting
A letter appears between the young couple, Theo grabs it before Marina can. Giving her a cheeky smile as he goes to read it.
"Before we forget, there are two people that we need to bring. Along with these new people, We have bestowed a curse on the gods. You will feel a fraction of what your demigod children feel during the viewing.
Good luck." Theo finishes. Everyone looks between the gods and their demigod children. The gods, though, look worried. Everyone looks at the demigods who are cringing, which worries the room.
Marina looks at Poseidon, who's already looking at her, "Sorry in advance, dad." She gives an uncomfortably sheepish expression. This makes the godly man's worry shoot through the roof.
There is a flash that makes everyone look away from the front of the room. When the light disappears, there stands James and Lily Potter, looking around at twenty-one years old. No dull eyes and pale faces. They looked healthy as the blood flowed through their veins.
Tears appear in their loved ones' eyes. Marina bolts up from her seat and tackles her parents in a hug, making them stumble but catch themselves. She holds back her strength, not wanting to crush her parents. They look down to see a head of long dark hair. The girl is shaking as she cries.
She looks up at her parents, who instantly lock eyes with her. The mismatched greens telling them who this girl is. They pull back quickly.
"Lily flower, look. Our little pearl is so grown up!" James shouts, holding Marina by her shoulder's so they can look at her.
"You've gotten so big." Lily holds the girl's cheeks, wiping away her falling tears. Marina only laughs as her parents bring the girl into a tight hug. Sally, Remus, and Padfoot come running over also, Padfoot turning into Sirius Black as he comes running over.
People start screaming and backing away from the escaped prisoner. "Arrest him!" Umbitch and the minister yell. The auror's ready their wands, but they are stopped by Marina's voice, "Stop! He's innocent!" This makes everyone pause. The family of three have separated from their hug as Sirius stands by James' side. Remus and Sally stand near the family as well.
"What do you mean, Miss Potter?" Amelia Bones questions.
"He was framed, which you all would have found out if he was given a trial." Marina sasses. What she says sinks into everyone's ears who didn't know.
Amelia slowly turns to the minister. "He wasn't given a trial?" She asks, exasperated.
The minister stutters as the room's attention turns to him, "They didn't think to give him a trial. Considering the evidence."
"Evidence! My best friend! My brother! The godfather of my child was thrown into Azkaban because you didn't look past the surface!" James' Potter looks like a lion, representing the traits of the house he was sorted into.
People start whispering, the words: best friend, brother, and godfather are heard around the room.
Amelia Bones speaks over the whispering, "Sirius Black will be given a fair trial as soon as we are out." She assures the family. They nod even if they know the truth will be revealed in the third movie.
"How did you know that happened?" Sally questions.
"We were told some of what happened after our death. However, we still don't know a lot of what happened." Lily tells the woman.
"James, I'm so sorry. If I never convinced you to make Peter the secret keeper-" Sirius is cut off by James hugging him.
"Sirius, you didn't know. None of us did. We couldn't have known that one of our best friends was a traitor." James reassures his brother. Sirius nods, a little assured but still feeling guilty.
Remus is hugging Lily, "Remus, how have you been?"
"Alright, I've missed you, Lily. Marina is a smart girl when she tries." Sally then hugs Lily when Remus lets go.
"Lily, It's so good to see you." Sally hugs the woman who became a good friend when she married James, and they met.
"You as well, Sally. I've heard Marina is living with you. What's she like?" Lily questions after they separate.
Sally shakes her head with a chuckle, "She's inherited James' penchant for trouble, but she has your kindness." Lily also shakes her head with a smile.
The family finishes their reunion when six children who stood nearby gain their attention by stepping forward.
"Hello, I'm one of Marina's best friends, Hermione Granger. It's nice to meet you." Hermione shakes hands with Lily and James.
"I'm Ron Weasley." The redhead nods at the parents of his best friend. James nods, recognizing the last name of a fellow pureblood family.
"I'm Annabeth Chase, I am a daughter of Athena." She states proudly. They remember the fates telling them about the godly world and the scene when the gods were introducing themselves.
"Grover Underwood, I'm a satyr. I brought Marina to camp." Grover nervously greets his friends mortal parents. Lily glances at his legs while James stares shocked until Sally harshly nudges her cousin. The parents greet him back.
"Blaise Zabini, I've been trying to convince Marina to date me instead, but she won't budge." Lily kindly greets the boy while James eyes the boy, which reminds him of Sirius during school, always flirting.
Marina stands by Theo's side when her parents turn their attention to him, Theo is blank faced, which hides his nervousness. Sensing this, Marina grabs his hand. Her parents eye their intertwined hands, Lily sporting a smile while James sports a frown.
He squeezes her hand when she starts speaking, "This is Theodore Nott, my boyfriend." Lily gives the couple a smile, showing her approval. The hall is completely silent as everyone watches James Potter. Lily taps James' shoulder, knocking him out of his shock.
He looks between their hands to Marina's hopeful face, Lily's urging one, and Theo's nervous eyes. "Nice to meet you." James nods at the boy. Everyone relaxes at his approval, especially Marina, Theo, and Lily.
"Shall we get started?" McGonagall says while looking at her former students.
"Hey, Minnie." James says as he goes to walk to his seat.
McGonagall shakes her head, "Mr. Potter, please refrain from calling me that."
He just gives a cheeky smile, "Sure, Minnie." He sits in his seat beside Lily and Sirius, catching sight of a sea god. "Hey Poseidon, I see you're still looking good."
Poseidon lets out a deep chuckle, which makes both James and Lily's flush red at the sound of it. "You and the lovely Lily do as well." The sound of fake gagging sounds from Marina's seat with her friends, which makes the room chuckle.
[The screen opens up to a beach covered in snow, the sound of laughter, yells, and running.]
"Don't you dare!" A woman and man's voices yell out.
[A blur of blonde in leather and black hair with a red sweater run past followed by another raven haired in leather and messy dark hair and glasses. They run down the beach, avoiding the two following them.]
Those who were there share a laugh and smile, remembering this day. Poseidon looks at the married couple whom he met that day. When he catches their eye, he gives them a charming smile and gets two back.
[The screen shows Marlene McKinnon and Frank Longbottom running from James and Sirius.]
Neville gets teary-eyed seeing his dad, lively and having fun. Those who know about the Longbottoms look saddened at the sight of the man.
[The screen shows further up the beach where a group of seven sit. The group consists of Lily, Sally, Alice, Dorcus, Mary, Remus, and Peter. Everyone is talking except Peter, who is just quietly watching.]
The sight of the traitor makes those who know about his betrayal scowl at the screen.
Neville has a watery smile on his face seeing his mom.
"Those four are idiots." Mary shakes her head at the four. Making the others nod in agreement.
"True." Lily, Sally, and Remus say. James and Sirius gasp in offense.
[Remus covers his smile with a book, knowing that he put the two up to it.]
"Thank you for letting us stay with you, Sally." Alice smiles at the woman.
"You're welcome, I know things are really tense over there."
Dorcus nods, "Yeah, We just needed a small break from the war." The others nod along with her.
"Well, things are going to work out." Sally reassures them.
Sally frowns. It did work out temporarily but not in the way she wanted it.
[The camera cuts back to the four running around.]
"I'm not going in that water, It's freezing!" Marlene shouts at James, who is chasing her.
Sirius goes to grab Frank, who suddenly avoids him, making the leather bound man trip, "Shit!"
[Sirius faceplants into the snow and sand as Frank runs away from him, towards Marlene and James. Frank grabs James from behind.]
The room laughs at the man who fell while said man pouts.
"I got him, Marls!" Frank shouts at Marlene, who quickly runs back towards them.
[Sirius spits out a mouthful of sand and thawing snow. When he sees Marlene and Frank lift a flailing James up, carrying him towards the edge of the ice.]
The room roars even louder with laughter, even some of the teachers and gods laughing. The loudest is James and Remus, followed by Hermes and Apollo, then Theo and Blaise.
"James!" Sirius shouts as Marlene and Frank throw him into the water.
People start laughing at him this time, even Marina and Lily.
[The group sitting further up the beach snapped their attention towards the running group at the sound of Sirius's shout and the sound of a slash. They watch the group. Marlene and Frank both quickly look at Sirius when he shouts. They share a look before bolting towards Sirius, who slips on snow and sand. Before he can escape, they grab his arms and legs.]
"Come on guys, let's not do this!" He tries to talk his way out of it but is cut off when he goes flying.
[James pops his head out of the water only to see Sirius's body sailing right towards him. Sirius collides with James, and they both fall back into the water.]
People fall out of their seats laughing at the two men, who cross their arms and pout.
"Oh, Merlin." Lily shakes her head at them as she walks to where the two men were thrown in.
[Marlene and Frank walk back towards their group after sharing a high five, joining their wives on the heated blanket. James and Sirius climb out of the water back onto the ice. They look up to see Lily with her arms crossed, looking at them with a raised eyebrow and amused look.]
"It's his fault." James and Sirius point at each other.
Snickers are thrown around as people with siblings nod, having done the same thing when confronted by authority and their parents.
"Honestly, you two." Lily shakes her head as she sends a few spells towards them, drying them off and warming them up.
[Sirius goes to join his boyfriend on the blanket, passing Remus a few galleons when he sits next to him. Everyone else shakes their head at the money exchange while Marlene and Frank give the scarred man a smile.]
"James will give you your money, He's currently being told off by Lily." Sirius wraps his arm around the taller man. Moving even closer.
[They all look over to see them talking to a tall, muscular man with black hair.]
Everyone looks towards the sea god.
"Where did he come from?" Sally questions, the others just shrug.
[The screen switches to their conversation.]
"Sorry to disturb you, but I noticed you... slipped...in the water." The man pauses on the word slipped.
A few snickers are thrown around.
[The couple shares a look before turning back to the man. He's taller than them both with black hair and sea green eyes. He's very muscular and tanned, like he's from where the sun shines brightly. They both think he's very attractive but are wondering if he saw Lily perform magic.]
"Yes, my husband was just fooling around with some of our friends." Lily tells the man, still a little cautious.
"You're both married?" The man questions, sounding a little disappointed.
James nods, "This is my wife Lily, and I'm James." Lily gives the man a small smile.
"I'm Fisher, Are you here on vacation? I haven't seen you around before." He gives the two a charming smile, which makes their flushed cheeks even more red.
Marina fake gags, making her parents roll their eyes and her friends laugh.
"We are, We're visiting my cousin. You live around here?"
The man glances at the ocean at the question before answering, "I do live around here, Well, I hope we get to know each other before you have to leave." He eyes the couple.
The married couple shared a look before looking at the man, "As do we."
Marina actually gags this time, making her friends start cracking up, and Theo pet her head as he laughs.
Lily rolls her eyes, amused at her daughter, while James holds a hand over his heart, acting offended.
"Excuse me! This meeting led to the decision to make you." James tells his daughter who groans, disgusted.
Theo leans into her ear, smirking. "I wonder how he will react when he finds out we also make those decisions."
Marina's cheeks turn pink, and she smacks his thigh, "Theo!" She shushed. He only pulls her closer.
