Chapter 7
Iruka has been feeling nervous the whole day. He can’t explain why. It was hard to teach with the constant anxiety in his core. Luckily it was now the weekend and he didn’t have to worry about school for two days. His mate Kakashi was with him and trying his best to soothe his worry.
“Iruka, come sit down. You’re working yourself up with all this pacing.” Kakashi tells him.
Iruka stops and he takes a deep breath.
“You’re right, I’m sorry” he says.
He sits next to him and allows Kakashi to pull him in to lay on his chest on the couch. He starts to pet his ears and Iruka can’t help but purr.
“Thank you Alpha” Iruka said
Kakashi licks his cheek
“Always Omega” he responds.
Naruto was returning from his run in the woods. He managed to catch some prey! It was only a rabbit but it’s better than nothing! Especially since he was very very low on ramen. It’s also good for wolves to hunt and eat prey anyways.
Naruto was happily walking back to the village. He enters and starts his walk back to his apartment. He ignores the disgust and anger in the villagers faces as he walks by. He keeps his head down and just continues on his path. But of course as his luck would have it, he bumps into some other wolves. They were sorting out food for their pack and Naruto accidentally messes it up.
“You stupid boy” One of male alpha growls out.
The others slowly start to creep closer.
Naruto backs up slowly.
“I don’t want any trouble” He says
But the others just growl louder.
“You fucking demon! You ruin everything you know!” Another Alpha says, a woman.
“You deserve punishment” an omega says.
With this, Naruto takes off running. Going as fast as his four legs could take him, the rabbit still in his mouth. He can hear howls and growls of the wolves behind him closing in. Naruto weaves through the crowd trying his best to avoid running into anyone else. Unfortunately he hit a dead end when he ran into an alley. The pack blocks his exit and they proceed to hurt him.
They scratched him, bite him, and choked him. By the time they were done, he was bleeding from the bite marks and scratches. One of his legs was broken as well.
“We better not catch you again, you monster” the lead alpha says. The pack leaves and unfortunately for him, they take his rabbit as well.
Naruto lays in the alley way for a while. Gathering up the energy to get up. Once he was ready, he pushed himself up. He started to walk, limping on his broken leg. Naruto decided to return to the forest to try and catch something else for dinner. It wasn’t dark yet so he’ll try his chances. With his mind made up, Naruto limps his way back into the forest.
Iruka and Kakashi were eating the dinner. They were eating some ramen first and then they would eat the food they caught together. Iruka’s leg keeps bouncing as his heart was racing.
“Are you ok my love?” Kakashi asks
Iruka shakes his head
“I feel like I’m forgetting something”
He responds
He continues to eat his ramen.

“Naruto!” Iruka yells as he shoots up in his seat.
Kakashi looks at concerned
“Naruto?” He asks
Iruka nods
“I have anxiety because we forgot to check in on him!” He says
Kakashi’s eyes widened in realization
“Oh my god, we always check in on him during the weekends” he says as he smacks himself.
“I can’t believe we forgot! My poor pup” Iruka whines
Kakashi stands up and brings his mate in for a hug.
“Don’t worry my Iruka, we can go check in on him right now. We’ll bring him here, give him dinner, and let him stay for the weekend” he assures him
Kakashi whines
“Our poor pup, all alone in his apartment” He says.
They quickly ready themselves and head out for Naruto’s apartment. They quickly walk through the crowds of the many packs around the village. Once they reach Naruto’s apartment, they climb up the stairs, and reach his door.
Kakashi knocks
“Naruto! Pup!” He calls out.
There was no answer.
Iruka bites his lip in worry.
“Pup! We’re here to check on you please open the door!” Kakashi tries again.
Still no answer.
“I can’t hear him inside” Iruka worryingly says. He tries to open the door and to their surprise it was open!
“Naruto we’re coming in!” Iruka calls out. The couple let themselves in. They look around the apartment and surprisingly it was pretty clean. It looks like Naruto recently cleaned around the area. Unfortunately they couldn’t find him anywhere.
“Where would he be?” Iruka asks
Kakashi takes a look at Naruto’s cabinets and sees that there was barely any ramen in them at all.
“Iruka look” He says
Iruka takes a look as well.
“He’s running out of food” Iruka says
Kakashi comes to a conclusion
“I think Naruto went out to hunt” He says Iruka widens his eyes
“Yes! That makes sense! He’s running out of food and he doesn’t have anyone to go with him!” Iruka says.
This makes him worry massively.
“Naruto’s too young to be out on his own! He could be hurt!” Iruka says as he bites his lip.
Kakashi turns to him
“Let’s go, we’ll take a look around the forest as see if we could find our little pup” He tells Iruka.
Iruka nods and the couple makes their way to the forest.
Naruto howls out in pain as his leg protests at his movements.
He tried to run after rabbits but his leg doesn’t allow him far. His body protests against every step he takes. Finally he gives up and collapses against a tree. He whines as his body aches in pain. He was still bleeding and the bite marks were irritated. Naruto tears fall down his cheeks and he starts to sob.
“Naruto!”
Naruto’s ears perk up. He can hear someone call out to him.
“Naruto!”
“Pup! Are you here? Call out to us!”
It was Iruka and Kakashi!
His dads
They came for him.
Naruto calls out to them, he howls so they can find him. He hears them run to him. Finally, Naruto sees them.
The couple’s eyes land on him.
“Naruto!” Iruka cries out
They run up to him and look in horror at the state they found him in.
“Pup” Iruka whines in distress.
Naruto whines back.
“Pup what happened?” Kakashi asks.
Naruto continues to cry
“I accidentally ran into a pack, they attacked me and broke my leg” He tells them.
Iruka picks up Naruto and tries the best he can to not further injure his leg.
“Let’s get him home” Kakashi says.
Iruka nods and they quickly set off.
Naruto is sitting in a nest that Iruka made in the living room. He had a blanket wrapped around him. His wounds were treated and Kakashi managed to set his leg back and put it in a brace.
Kakashi in his wolf form was lying in the nest and allowed Naruto to lay against him, using him as a pillow. Kakashi was purring.
Iruka also in wolf form entered the nest with food. He sets it close to Naruto.
“Eat pup” He tells Naruto.
Naruto yips in appreciation.
Iruka purrs
The couple just cuddle with Naruto in between them as Naruto eats. Once he was done, Naruto’s tail wags and he says
“Thank you dad, papa”
Kakashi and Iruka nuzzle into him.
“We love you pup” they say.
The family enjoy the rest of the weekend in peace.
