Note
Welcome to my new one-shot! I decided to put this into 12 parts/chapters, as it is long with a few time skips, which kind of made me do it. So sorry for the trouble, but I believe it would be better to read it this way. Have fun!

Charlotte’s POV

After the furry incident and the talk with Lizzie was… weird to say at least. Whenever we came across the twins my face became rosy, and I was overall fidgety. Lizzie’s reaction to them was way more obvious as she was stuttering and what more? She often found an excuse to leave, which was obviously not like her at all. Even the twins raised their eyebrows at some of them. But from the distance hers and my eyes were looking for them most of the time. The prank they pulled off in the hallway on Filch? We were there making sure he didn’t catch them by tripping him. When they changed Snape’s mints with bonbons which tasted like dirt? We were there.

“Did we become stalkers?” I ask Lizzie at Sunday’s breakfast, after reminiscing our late adventures. “No. We’re only making sure they don’t die, that said, we’re mere guardians” she grimaces. “And who you might be guarding, Angel?” Fred appears across us and sits down. “None of your business. Also, this is not a Gryffindor table,” retorts blushing Elizabeth. “And it’s neither Slytherin’s, Eliz,” says now sitting down George. “But I invited her, George,” I say little fidgety. “But I’m George!” Says Fred out of the blue. “No, you’re not. Now shut up, Freddie, and be so kind and tell us, why you came to bother us this early in the morning?” Asks Lizz fiercely, more annoyed at the fact that she could not enjoy her cup of coffee in peace, which was interrupted by the twins.

They look at each other, having some silent conversation between them, and then they nod at each other and smile suspiciously before they look at me and Lizzie again. “We’d like to propose an idea of ours,” smiles the younger twin. “More like a bet,” adds Fred. “And why would we be interested in that bet of yours?” I ask quizzically with my head tilted to the side. “Well, when you girls would win, you could...,” starts George but Fred interrupts him “You can put collars on us and we will serve as your loyal dogs,” he ends with a mischievous smile on his face. “And if you guys win?” Lizzie asks suspiciously of the whole idea. “Nothing serious, we’ll let you know before the first Quidditch game,” George answers with his sweet smile while looking at me hopefully, so I look at Lizz to determine if we can take it. She looks at me a little bit nervously but after searching for something in my eyes, she nods. “Then we are in. What it’s gonna be about?” I ask. They smirk. “Tomorrow, we have the test in Transfiguration, right?” Starts Fred. “The team which has better marks, wins,” claims Georgie. Lizzie starts to laugh. “So, we get to have two handsome butlers at our disposal? Char, I’m so glad I agreed,” still laughing she hugs me, but then something tingles in the back of my mind. “Or maybe your worries were at a point,” I whisper in her ear. “Those two, I’ve seen them for the first time in a library that time, when they made us into cat-girls,” she grimaces at the reminder of that incident that she was not fond of. “Either way, they’re up to something,” I sigh. “Maybe it was not so good to take it on,” I regret a little. “Shut up, we still can do it. We have the whole day to learn,” she tries to lift my spirit and mysteriously it works. “Okay, that we can,” I smile. “Okay, jesters, we ladies have something to do, so let’s see how it ends up,” Lizzie smirks. “Just don’t be too confident, Angel, we will see on Thursday, when Minnie will have it most likely marked,” the twins winked at us. “Good luck at the test tomorrow!” They smiled and continued to have breakfast at the Hufflepuff table even after we stood up and departed.
