Note
Welcome to my new one-shot! I decided to put this into 12 parts/chapters, as it is long with a few time skips, which kind of made me do it. So sorry for the trouble, but I believe it would be better to read it this way. Have fun!

Who she is?

Charlotte’s POV

Once again, I was at the station waiting for the train at platform 9 ¾. It was my fifth year. I was excited but still, the lingering sadness at missing my family was there. I loved Hogwarts and everything it offered, I even thought about them as my second family. I wanted to have my parents there too, but they couldn’t even make it to the station. I knew they were busy and rightfully so.

While I was lost in my thoughts, the train was here, and people were getting in or saying their last goodbyes to their loved ones. I didn’t waste time and got in, searching for some free compartment. I did find some and hurriedly got inside. I liked having company, but I preferred some time alone and this was a perfect opportunity to finish the book I started. After a while, we hit the road. Chit-chat from others was nice ambient along with the sound the train was making while getting us to Hogwarts. Sun was shining on the beautiful scenery that we were speeding through. Awesome, I sighted with a smile adoring my face. Then I got scared when the doors of my compartment were opened.

The person interrupting my quiet little bubble was a tall girl around my age. “Hey, I was wondering if I could sit here. The others are either full or loud.” She asked a little sheepishly. I nodded and she got inside. “I’m Elizabeth, by the way,” she added. “Charlotte,” was my answer in a hushed voice. She smiled and continued. “I’m in fifth year and I guess you too?” She pointed at the book I was reading before she came along. “I never seen you around. Which house are you in?” She tilted her head but then stopped. “Wait, let me guess! Since I haven’t noticed you in my classes, and by your calm demeanour I would say you’re in Hufflepuff or maybe Ravenclaw. But I bet you're from Hufflepuff.” While she was talking, I was looking at her. Brown, long hair, hazel eyes that shined when she was talking. She was gesturing fast and always. She seemed nice, but something about her made me a little bit conscious about her. “Yeah, I’m Hufflepuff,” I nodded once again, “but how come that you haven’t noticed me? I play as a beater in my house's Quidditch team,” I said a little bit confused. Almost everyone knew which people were on which team. “O-oh! You’re The Mika?” Her eyes got even brighter with excitement. “I always wanted to meet you, but I never got a chance!” “Really? What’s so great about me, that you wanted to meet me?” My brows furrowed, but to my surprise, she laughed. “You’re the one who made last year one of the Weasley twins almost fall from their broom. It was awesome! I almost threw a party in your name for such a great act!” She explains still laughing. “After that game even if they won, it gave me something to tease them about, so thank you so much about that!” I did remember that happening, but never would I guess that this made her day. “You’re… welcome?” I chuckled still a bit confused.

After this short introduction, we kind of hit it off. Talking about our previous years, other friends and most of the time about books. I honestly wouldn’t take her for a bookworm from my first impression of her, but talking with her about our fantasies was fun. “Hope I will see you around!” She waved excitedly and ran off when our train came to a halt. Then I remembered that I hadn’t asked her in which house she was. Not that it mattered to me, but I didn’t know where to find her. The only way was that she would find me, hopefully.
