Opening
The first couple of days after he announced the EP he was constantly being forwarded articles from Lily that talked about the EP. His inbox was full of talk shows asking him for exclusive sit down interviews about the EP (obviously he replied no to all of them, talk shows are his worst nightmare)
Eclipse Records also announced on their social media pages that he is their newest client and that they are excited to be working with him. All of his social medias were constantly sending him notifications and he had to have Regulus turn them off for him because he still doesn’t understand how to use most of them.
He grew over a hundred thousand on each page within the first forty eight hours and the only post he has on instagram announcing the album had millions of likes and thousands of comments.
He has been watching his fanbase’s reaction through the burner accounts Marlene set up for him and he has only seen positive things. Though a couple of them seemed a bit inappropriate to him.

The EP’s release went really well.
Remus didn’t have to do any sit down talk shows but Dorcas managed to get him to agree to a zoom interview the day of the release that wasn’t actually that bad.
Remus hadn’t thought the EP would do very well considering it was his first time ever releasing music, but two weeks after the release he woke up to find that Now That We Don’t talk was number one on the billboard charts. He freaked the fuck out and Hope had sprinted into his room thinking something was wrong until she saw his laptop screen and then she too joined his celebration.
He posted a video on YouTube after he calmed down and thanked everyone that was streaming his music while blinking back tears. A couple minutes after he posted it, Regulus texted him telling him that that his barely held back tears were pathetic, but Remus knew that he was extremely happy for him but just didn’t want to admit it.

“Remus can come by my office tomorrow, we have something to discuss.” Dorcas said over the phone.
“Sure, can I ask what we need to discuss?” The vagueness of her words concerned him. Was the label dropping him? He doesn’t know what he would do if that happened.
Dorcas sighs “Sorry but I legally cannot until we talk in person. See you tomorrow.” She hangs up, not giving him a chance to question her further.

Remus shows up ten minutes early, his nerves waking him early that morning. The receptionist has him wait outside Dorcas’s office until she calls him in.
Ten minutes after he arrives in the dot, she calls him in “Remus take a seat, we have a lot to discuss.” She says while ushering him into a seat across from her. Remus taps his fingers against her desk while she pulls what looks like a contract out of a folder.
“What’s that? Is that some kind of contract termination contract?” Remus asks, his anxiety skyrocketing.
Dorcas gives him a look “What? Remus why on earth would we fire you? Your debut EP is soaring through the charts!”
“Sorry, just nerves.” He mumbles.
“Well you can tell them to go away because this is a contract for you to sign on as the opening act for another artist in our label, who I legally cannot disclose until after you sign the contract because the tour itself has not been announced to the public yet.” Dorcas slides the contract towards him.
Remus swallows “How long would I be gone for?”
“About four months with breaks where you could go and visit your family and friends. You really should take this Remus, it would be great exposure for you.” Remus is overwhelmed by the sincerity of her words.
“I’ll sign on.” Remus grabs a pen and signs after quickly reading through it. What could possibly happen that would be that bad anyway?
