Panther
Grindelwald pulled newt closer to him and guided them to the bed and burritos newt in his soft fuzzy blanket he likes when he is upset before cuddling closer to him
Newt fell asleep shortly after that and turned into a panther in his sleep, curling up in to a tight ball against his side
Grindelwald laughed and thought he must have been to upset to change forms, im suprised mushy has not tried to eat them yet I know that newt had to ward the doors so mortymus and Stormy couldn't leave the room the first time he came back upset, Antonio even bit jack the other day for snapping at newt who he sees as a mother figure
Mortymus came over and growls "can I eat the one who upset him yet?"
Grindelwald said "no, that would upset him further or I would have killed them for the disrespect already" he was not kidding he would not tolerate people hurting his liebling like that both of them would be in the dog house for this evening after it appeared he had forgiven them aas he would remember this
Mortymus huffed "humans are odd with their killing practices"
Grindelwald said "I couldn't agree more I just don't want to upset newt and it would destress him more knowing that "friends" were killed because they upset him"
Mortymus said "you are a good mate for him most would pick his protection over his happiness in matters like this that is a rare trait to find in a partner and will benefit him well"
Grindelwald said "thank you, I think I will always protect him but I also understand that sometimes I have to compromise to keep him happy" he would do anything at all for his liebling
Mortymus laid down behind newt resting his chin on newt's back
Grindelwald said "a manticore cuddling a panther is a cute sight"
Mortymus growled
Grindelwald said "I think it is just as adorable when you comfort him when he is human"
Mortymus rolls his eyes and goes to sleep
Grindelwald follows and dreams of newt in nothing but a odd cloak
Grindelwald wakes up to see newt's panther form on his chest watching him,Mortymus is beside us and asleep with Cassie
Grindelwald said "newt love you doing any better?"
Newt nodded yes
Grindelwald said "you want to change back yet?"
Newt shook his head no
Grindelwald said "you are nonverbal right now and still feeling overwhelmed?"
Newt nods yes then did a soso
Grindelwald said "not overwhelmed. so maybe hurt by what they said?"
Newt nodded yes
Grindelwald said "well staying as a panther won't help that angel"
Newt did a soso motion
Grindelwald said "you prefer the panther when upset so it helps calm you"
Newt nodded yes
Grindelwald said o"k love I have to do a little paperwork tonight then I can come back but I would like you to try to eat something you have lost a little weight recently"
Newt nodded yes and followed him
Grindelwald said "so you want company I take it?"
Newt nodded yes and followed Grindelwald to his office before jumping up into newt's chair and pushing the book over to the side table
Grindelwald said "it is adorable seeing you in here like that, perhaps you will change back for dinner"
Newt looked thoughtful and then nodded yes
Grindelwald said "we can eat alone upstairs tonight because I'm not in the mood to deal with people, I'm angry still" he would curse someone if he had to deal with a idiot
Newt came over and rubbed his head on Grindelwalds arm
Grindelwald said "I will be ok, I should be the one comforting you right now"
Newt shook his head no
Grindelwald said "I know you care about me love, but I don't like seeing you upset enough that you go nonverbal let alone pick being a panther for a bit due to being upset and not because you want to run around freaking people out"
Newt nuzzled his hand again
Grindelwald said "that is calming me a little let me get to work then we can go eat and then cuddle that always cheers me up"
Newt changed back and signed and ice cream?
Grindelwald said "only if we include the fire" knowing newt would get cold if he ate ice cream without the fire to warm him
Newt nodded
Grindelwald said "and you are still getting that back rub"
Newt shook his head no
Grindelwald said "ok I'll relent tonight but you will be getting it love"
Newt nodded yes then signed just want to cuddle you tonight
Grindelwald said "sounds good to me love, I know you aren't normally one for contact"
Newt signed "no, but it always calms you down and cheers you up, that makes it worth it to me and I'm starting to like cuddling up with you"
Grindelwald said "I'm glad that you are, I'd apologize that I'm a touch-happy clingy person but I would not be sincere"
Newt signed "I love you just the way you are"
Grindelwald said "and I you"
A little bit later Grindelwald finished his paperwork with a little help from newt they go upstairs and ate some ice cream in front of the fire and cuddled
Grindelwald said "we probably shouldn't eat ice cream for dinner"
Newt snorted and signed I think you count it as it's own food group, I never ate this much ice cream until I met you seriously one bowl a month
Grindelwald said "that is blasphemy one should have at least two bowls if not a few pints a month, and you are telling me it's not a food group of it's own"
Newt laughed and signed no it's not love
Grindelwald grabbed his chest and said "ohh the horror"
Grindelwald said "so what is overwhelming about a crowd for you"
Newt signed social expectations, noise seriously how can anyone handle the noise,scent,you can't watch everyone people intruding on your personal space or even worse touch you then I get upset enough to notice if a light flickers and a few other things
Grindelwald said "if I experienced that every time I went to a party I would be overwhelmed as well, that sound horrible and like it would cause a killer headache"
Newt signed "sometimes it does, why do you think I occasionally hide in the darkest room I can find them cast a instant darkness spell on top of it"
Grindelwald said "I hadn't really noticed besides for once and I thought you may have been testing a theory to be honest"
Newt signed nope just a headache from hell
Grindelwald said "that doesn't sound like fun, next time you can come up here and cast the spell"
Newt signed "if it is a nearby room when it strikes I will"
Three days later
Newt was finally talking again so Grindelwald invited Abernathy and Jack to explain themselves
Grindelwald said "do you want to come along today newt?"
Newt said "I probably should but I think I should probably keep a little space, I don't really like going non verbal it is frustrating and I feel like I can't express myself which doesn't help me calm down"
Grindelwald said "I will support what ever you decide love, I don't like seeing you upset and I want to know the why before you do, so I can make sure the dumbass says it correctly"
Newt said "just let him say it how he said it, if he phrases it wrong again that says a lot in and of itself according to you and Sebastian"
Grindelwald chuckles and said "sounds like you have two smart advice giver's. I'll see you after lunch unless they piss me off to the point I cancelled the day"
Newt laughed and said "you can't just cancel a day"
Grindelwald said "I'm the boss so I can if I want" crossing his arms
Newt said "and create more work for yourself tomorrow?"
Grindelwald groaned and said "don't remind me"
Newt said "I figured out the radiation charm I was making, it will work great with the shield ward I made"
Grindelwald said "that is good have you found a island you like yet?"
Newt said "no I'm going to make a spell to create the ideal island"
Grindelwald said "or we could just confiscate a unused area the muggles have they have a few islands the size of countries that are not in use"
Newt said "true and it would not really alarm them to forget it if we pick a lesser known one"
Grindelwald said "I'll help you look for one tonight if you want"
Newt said "and a backup for the ones that don't agree to coexisting with creatures"

A little bit later
Newt was working on a new spell and spending time with his creatures in his office since he had it where they could go in the briefcase or roam the office at will, the nifflers like to run off with his pens but other than that they behave pretty well, he had set up a cat tunnel and a few cat toys for the nundu's and zouwu's who visited him frequently, mortymus even got to free roam the halls if he was coming up to newt's office
Grindelwald was in a meeting with Abernathy and Jack to figure out what to do see if newt could patch things up with them or not and assign a punishment since newt didn't want them tortured
Grindelwald said "why should I believe your apology? You have apologized several times before and continue to say hurtful things or snap at him" he was sick of their behavior towards newt recently it was unacceptable
Jack said "we finished making the wedding plans so we should not be as snappy now"
Abernathy said "and we patched up the issues we had" remorse on his face
Grindelwald said "that's good for you but what is to say you won't find another reason to snap at him?"
Jack said "I don't see why you protect him so much it's not like he cares about friendship"
Abernathy slapped his hand over his face to hold his head and said "Jack! We had a talk about this you need to phrase your questions more sensitively"
Grindelwald said "newt does care about his friends or you both would be in a world of pain right now, he is also a lot more sensitive then he seems he is just good at hiding it because of the way he grew up with people who didn't understand why he got so overwhelmed easily"
Abernathy said "I apologize for my actions and will take a vow to try not to snap at newt again if you need"
Grindelwald said "the offer is enough for me but it will ultimately be up to newt if he forgives you or not as for punishment, I figured you get to deal with the krum family reports and request Abernathy"
Abernathy said "yes boss although I would rather clean the stalls by hand then do that but I suppose that is the point"
Jack said "why are we being punished! we didn't harm him!"
Grindelwald said "I don't even know what to do about you jack, you say you are sorry but I'm starting to think you just fear consequences not genuinely sorry, since sitting down you have insulted him again and questioned me two weeks off and you have to help Olivia with chores for a month"
Jack said "why do I have to help a house elf"
Grindelwald said "to humble you hopefully so you will learn a lesson if not I will cursio it into you! despite what Newt wants I can not have disobedience or rebellion in my ranks so I will kill you if I have to"
Abernathy said "I will try to get through to him so he understands what he said is wrong, if not I'll lock him in my manor till he can play nice, his mother signed over guardian ship of him due to a family rule they have that if a heir gets engaged to a male the family signs over control of the heir to the spouse"
Grindelwald said "that is old fashioned"
Abernathy said "they are very old fashioned, his mother would have had a fit if she saw or heard of his behavior recently"
Grindelwald said "then perhaps we should tell her and see if she can straight him out"
Jack said "please don't"
Abernathy said "well that got a response so let's do it. I'm sorry jack but you do keep crossing the line after apologizing, I'll admit I crossed the line but I do mean it when I apologize and you insulted him again, while we were in trouble for the last time where you really crossed the line possibly beyond repair that time and you have demonstrated that you would do it again"
Jack said "please don't tell her, she is scary when angry"
Grindelwald said "so is Newt when he snaps, he tries to avoid situations that lead to anger and will isolate himself when he gets angry because he knows that his magic reacts badly to anger, seriously his aura turns into a crutatius curse effect"
Abernathy said "damn, he isn't a obscures?"
Grindelwald said "no he just has magic that can go sentient when he is upset it's different than a obscures, it's like Newt subconsciously cast it to protect himself or to punish others I don't know, I just know it doesn't effect me I just feel a blanket of energy"
Abernathy said "that is pretty cool, I wonder what caused it?"
Grindelwald said "I have no idea, but it can be lethal as some smugglers found out the hard way"
Abernathy said "I think that is both impressive and scary"
Grindelwald said "Newt intentionally amped up the aura to kill them, it normally just feel like getting hit by lightning so he does have some control over it but would rather be alone when angry"
Abernathy said "good to know, is that why Newt understands Sebastian so well?"
Grindelwald said "that and they are similar in a way"
Jack said "yeah they both dislike socializing and are awkward and what is with the lack of eye contact they do"
Abernathy said "jack we are visiting your mother after we leave here and you will be telling her what happened"
Jack said "your my betrothed not my father so stop acting like you are my father"
Abernathy said "I'm trying to keep you alive because I love you, sorry if that means I have to do stuff you don't like"
Grindelwald said "and to answer your question, Newt doesn't like eye contact because it opens him up to others emotions and is overwhelming also he does not want to challenge someone with to much eye contact since he doesn't understand it"
Abernathy said "dang that is some good reasons I always figured it was a challenge thing"
Grindelwald said "I will talk to Newt Abernathy about your apology and see what he says"
Abernathy said "thank you boss, tell Newt if jack doesn't cancel the wedding I would still like him to be my best man"
Newt floo called Sebastian to see how it went with Massa since he forgot to ask last time they spoke
Sebastian said "she is into her own gender but we are trying a friend ship since we have a lot in common"
Newt said "that is good sorry it didn't work out"
Sebastian said "I'm not to suprised by it and after talking to her I was less attracted to her so probably a good thing" she had been to intimidating
Newt laughed and said "well I got to go grindelwald just walked into my office"
Sebastian said "see you soon"
Newt ended the call
Grindelwald said "gossiping with Sebastian?"
Newt said "yes, I forgot to ask him about something last time we talked"
Grindelwald said "I am not surprised you both ramble on about everything and anything that you usually forget why you even went over"
Newt said "sorry"
Grindelwald said "that is not a bad thing in fact I find it kinda funny, if it is important you both remember that is what counts"
Newt said "so what did you need?"
Grindelwald said "I wanted to tell you how it went if you wanted to hear"
Newt said "I will listen"
Grindelwald said "Abernathy has fixed what was stressing him mostly besides for a few thing with Jack and is genuinely sorry for what he said and how he acted, he was even willing to take a vow jack however will be watched for a while when he is around you because we still don't know what his issue is"
Newt said "that is better than I expected, is Abernathy annoyed at me because of Jack's behavior? I have a hard time telling sometimes"
Grindelwald said "no he is exasperated with Jack, he is not annoyed at you love"
Newt said "so what is on your agenda today?"
Grindelwald said "I have a few field trips today chaos to stir up and some other stuff to do and I want to try to recruit a few people"
Newt said "I'm sorry about jack I know you have been close for a long time"
Grindelwald said "it's not your fault it would have eventually happened either way"
Newt said "maybe maybe not"
Grindelwald said "I'm certain whatever is bothering him now would have happened even if you were not here"
Newt said "I'll try to believe that"
Grindelwald said "good"
Newt said "Theseus sent me a letter inviting me to a family dinner"
Grindelwald said "do you want to go see if you can fix things with your brother"
Newt said "no I don't intend to speak to him again after what he said at the wedding he crossed the lines I drew so I'm done, his life is his own to do with or ruin however he would like"
Grindelwald said "I'm sorry that happened love, I know you loved him as he is your older brother I'm also proud that you are standing up for yourself and creating boundaries which you were lacking before"
Newt said "I'm still not sure that's a good thing but I will give it a chance even if it feels weird and I don't fully understand it"
Grindelwald said "Abernathy also said if jack doesn't cancel the wedding he still wants you to be his best man"
Newt said "it won't be like it was for a while but I will give him a second chance, he will have to earn back the trust he broke, but I will attend so long as nothing happens between now and then"
Grindelwald said "that is a good idea, you don't have to forgive him right away"
Newt said "I know my betrothed has informed me of that before"
Grindelwald said "your betrothed sounds smart"
Newt said "yes but he already has a ego the size of England"
Grindelwald laughed and said "I suppose for you I could shrink it a little love"
Newt said "nah just don't let it get any bigger or mortymus will get jealous of how much room you get in the bed"
Grindelwald said "we would not want that"
Newt said "you best go stir up chaos before chaos gets bored waiting."
Grindelwald said "I probably should"
Newt said "see you tonight I'm going to be in the briefcase, I have a few hatchlings that need care since the mom passed Sven brought the nest and mom to me but there was nothing I could do for her by that point, I'll raise her nest for her though"
Grindelwald said "and you will do a good job of it, I'm sure she would approve of you if she couldn't do it herself"
Newt said "thank you I needed to hear that I think"
Grindelwald said "no problem I'll bring back some Italian food tonight"
Newt said "don't forget garlic bread and you can't go wrong with cheese Alfredo"
Grindelwald laughed and said "I know that, you are slightly addicted to that combo"
Newt said "what is good is good"
Grindelwald said "can't argue with that, see you in a few" grindelwald apperated away
The next day
Grindelwald woke up early to see Newt had already gotten up,he found Newt in the kitchen making stew and rolls for tonight with Olivia
Newt said "this was supposed to be a surprise"
Grindelwald said "I got cold, I went to find my run away heater"
Newt said "all I am to you is a heater?"
Grindelwald said "no your a healer and a good cook too" teasingly
Newt laughed and said "I hope it turns out good."
Grindelwald said "thank you and I am surprised that you made my favorite meal today"
Newt said "and I made some homemade cherry vanilla ice cream for you"
Grindelwald said "anyone touches my ice cream besides you they die"
Newt said "I can always make more love"
Grindelwald said "that is not the point, the point is it's mine. although I don't mind sharing with you"
Newt laughed and said "I'm glad you like it, tomorrow I was thinking of making a cheese lasagna, and cheesecake for dinner if miss Olivia doesn't mind me borrowing her kitchen again"
Olivia said "I don't minds kind master newt, you are respectful of the kitchen you cans borrows it anytimes you likes"
Grindelwald said "why am I not surprised that you won over the house elf enough to be allowed into the kitchen whenever when anyone else who tried including me got chased out"
Olivia said "master is not a good cook, the fumes were borderline lethal"
Newt laughed and said "I'm not surprised, we can't be human without sucking at something, and maybe because you know me love"
Grindelwald said "that is true,can we get a little longer before waking up?"
Newt said "I think it's to late for that, I'll make it up to you tonight with a backrub"
Grindelwald said "and then if I can move I'll return the favor"
Newt smiled and said "or perhaps tomorrow if you can't?"
Grindelwald said "sounds like a plan because I have yet to be able to move after you gave me a backrub I swear it is almost better than sex"
Newt said "it is pretty blissful to relax that much"
Grindelwald said "true but I like you in another state of blissed out, you actually get cuddly"
Newt said "that is true, I should probably work on that"
Grindelwald pouted and said "please don't I like you cuddly and clingy, it's not like you are very often'
Newt said "I will try to be a little more affectionate with you"
Grindelwald said "I don't mind the way you are now but that would be nice"
Olivia laughed and said "I don't know about having to koalas for masters after all you seldom are apart or not touching if you aren't working on something"
