Abernathy said 'he can't be that bad"
Grindelwald said "I wouldn't take that bet he does seem a little obsessed with my newt, I don't know why yet"
Abernathy said "I'll keep a ear out to my contacts"
Jack said "please do because I have yet to hear even a mumble"
Newt said "well I don't know and can't hazard a guess as to why"
Abernathy said "maybe you will find out tomorrow night"
Newt said "probably not Dumbledore likes his long games where everyone is a chess piece to be moved and sacrificed at his will, I don't think he even knows who he is playing against because Grindelwald never played the game with him so who is it for or what is the game against"
Grindelwald said "he plays for the greater good of muggles where as my goal is for the greater good of all mostly wizards to be honest but squib's and No-magi family members are included in my plans"
The next day at lunch
Grindelwald said "be careful tonight angel, I don't want to have to be a party crasher because you needed rescued"
Newt said "I have been to fifteen ministry family parties as I call them, I'll be fine"
Abernathy said "so boss anything else you want me to keep a eye or ear on?"
Grindelwald said "information gathering and keep a eye on newt"
Abernathy replied "well I would be seen as a bad date if I let him out of sight for too long"
Jack laughed and said "or met with understanding about how difficult newt can be"

Newt smiled and said "well I can be a little difficult for some people to tolerate, most people find me anoying or different"

Newt looks down and said "sorry it calms me down, I'll try to stop."

Grindelwald said "that is his problem not yours angel"
Newt glanced up and said "are you sure?"
Grindelwald said "I'm certain"
Abernathy said "it's fine newt, I shouldn't have snapped at you I'm just worried about everything that can go wrong"
Newt said "that is alright, I know I'm not the easiest to be around"
Shortly After the late lunch newt got dressed for the party
Grindelwald said "you look amazing, although I wouldn't mind stripping it off you"
Newt said "thank you and keep your suggestive comments to yourself"
Grindelwald said "but you are irresistible and you know you like my comments"
Newt said "that may be true but I don't want to be teased right before the party"
Grindelwald said "well I know a great way to relieve stress"
Newt said "true, but that makes a mess maybe later if you behave and I'm not to drained from the socializing"
Grindelwald said "I look forward to it then." he nibbles on newt's neck
Newt "nimh ahh Grindelwald stop"
Grindelwald stopped and said "why?"
Newt said "this is about to be embarrassing"
Grindelwald said "good to know messing with your neck gets you hot and bothered"

Grindelwald said "maybe later you can return the favor"
Newt said "winding you up then leaving you to a meeting"
Grindelwald said "that's evil love"
Newt said "well you are doing something similar seeing as I have to be at Theseus's in five minutes"
Grindelwald said "that is true I suppose, next time I might just bite"
Newt blushed more and said "don't say things like that"
Grindelwald said "looks like you are not against hickeys or claim marks"
Newt whimpers and said "not fair I will be getting you back for this"
Grindelwald said "I'm looking forward to it angel"
Newt goes downstairs to the floo and waits for Abernathy
Abernathy shows up two minutes later
Newt said "the floo address is Theseus scamander residence password is greatest wizard ever
,Luckily for him most people are arriving by gate not floo"
Abernathy said "arrogant much*
Newt said "more showoff/cocky then arrogant"
They floo to the party leta stopped to talk to Abernathy while Theseus talked to newt about what he could and could not do or say
Thirty minutes later newt rejoined Abernathy and said "that went as I expected"
Newt handed leta the gift and walked off to a corner to wait a while before interacting
Abernathy said "nice spot good view of the whole room and no one can sneak up on you without your knowledge"
Newt said "yes it's my corner leta has the table over here marked as mine, she knows I like to watch the room and doesn't mind usually a few of the older retired aurors will come sit over here and talk, most of them are pretty alright"
Abernathy said "that is nice, I'm going to go mingle a little would you come along"
Newt said "yes, I will so you can do your thing"
Abernathy said "thank you it makes my job easier"
Thirty minutes later Abernathy had more information on auror missions past present and future then jack had collected in five years luckily he had a disillusioned quill and parchment recording every conversation going on for jack, because he would never remember it all
Newt was stopped by Dumbledore halfway through the party and invited for tea in his office tomorrow
Newt said "I have to politely decline your offer I have plans for tomorrow"
Dumbledore said "how about next week on Friday then, my boy?"
Newt said "I'll send a letter if I can't make it"
Dumbledore said "good my boy, it is a matter of great important I wish to speak with you about"
Newt said "I'll try to make it Friday"
Dumbledore walked off
Abernathy said "well that was suspicious, you don't plan on going do you?"
Newt said "no way in hell maybe I'd go if he offered a neutral location and not one to rub salt in a sore spot"
Abernathy said "good, I think I will go follow him out if you don't mind, you can talk to the retired aurors who have been glaring at me all night"
Newt said "they are a little overprotective of me because I'm one of the only people who listen to their stories and I do not look down on them for it"
Abernathy said "that would probably win retired aurors over, I was told by one he knew I worked for Grindelwald and I best not hurt you unless I wanted a slow painful death, I told him you were just a cover and he needed to have that talk with Grindelwald your actual boyfriend"
Newt said "you said what!?"
Abernathy said "you heard me right, they want to talk to him about a alliance anyway"
Newt said "chaos I haven't had any in a while he must have decided I needed more in my life"
Abernathy said "who?"
Newt said "primordial God of chaos remember"
Abernathy said "so if you are having a calm and peaceful month he spices it up?"
Newt said "yes, usually with a deadly situation but sometimes by just mixing people in my life who will help each other annoy me till I snap"
Abernathy said "so it's never dull around you for long"
Newt said "nope, I'm master of chaos which means chaos follows me literally sometimes"
Abernathy said "suddenly I'm glad death leaves Grindelwald alone mostly"
Newt said "that would be nice"
Leta walked up to newt and said "thank you but where did you find a witches stone necklace that had never been bonded?"
Newt said "to be honest it was a gift for rescuing a little girl, I just wouldn't ever use it and I thought you would like it"
Leta said "I love it thank you newt"
Theseus walked over and said "newt you are going to make me look bad if you don't socialize more"
Leta said "newt has already done more than he usually does Abernathy must be good for him, not that you noticed that talking with the minister, also you need to lay off your brother you know he has difficulty socializing with others"
Abernathy said "how about you not talk about newt in front of newt"
Leta said "I'm sorry I didn't think about how that would make him feel*
Theseus said "it's not even like he is listening to us he is looking at the lame ex aurors he always hangs with"
Leta said "they are retired not lame!"
Abernathy said "he listens to more than you think, you grew up with him so should know his issues with eye contact"
Theseus said "you don't need to defend him he can defend himself if he wants to"
Abernathy said "leta happy birthday but I think I shall be taking newt away from this toxic environment"
Theseus said "it's not a toxic environment! I'm just saying what everyone is thinking"
Newt walked off and grabbed his coat, and used bsl British sign language to tell his auror buddies that he would be seeing them soon at the cafe
Frank signed bsl we best be seeing you and your boyfriend soon
Newt signed bsl I'll be at the cafe Sunday no promises on the other
Frank signed bsl we just want to have a shovel talk with the lad
Newt signed bsl that is not necessary but is sweet thank you
Frank signed bsl it is necessary most of us see you as a little brother or son so we don't want to see you hurt and please stop by the cafe more often we miss seeing you
Newt signed bsl I rescued some creatures recently and have been busy but I'll try to stop by every week
Frank signed bsl ok see you Sunday
(Frank is deaf after a case gone wrong he can speak but can't hear but newt likes to practice his bsl with them all )
Abernathy apperated newt home
Abernathy handed all the paperwork to jack and said Merry Christmas every conversation recorded
Newt went upstairs and into his briefcase to feed the animals and calm down
Grindelwald said "how did it go?"
Abernathy said *pretty good some of newt's retired auror buddies knew I worked for you,they want to talk about a alliance with you and give you a shovel talk about never breaking newt's heart, other than that it went well until Theseus and leta came to talk to newt like he wasn't even there I think he is upset but I'm not sure he hasn't said anything, he was signing bsl to the aurors before we left"
Grindelwald said "thank you for the update and I should probably go check on him"
Abernathy said "I find it sweet how you both check on the other when you find out they are upset"
Grindelwald said "that's part of any relationship"
Abernathy said "jack doesn't really do feelings well"
Grindelwald said "newt is not much better he is good with other people's emotions but not his own"
Abernathy said "I have noticed that and when he gets overwhelmed he likes to be alone"
Grindelwald went upstairs to check on newt and saw the briefcase open on the floor so he hopped in
Grindelwald found newt feeding the animals and playing with the baby thunder bird that is following him around like a baby duck that imprinted on him and saw that Cassie had shadow walked to newt
Grindelwald watched for a little before saying "are you in a talking mood?"
Newt did a soso motion
Grindelwald said "I'm here to listen if you want"
Newt walked over and hugged grindelwald saying "thank you"
Grindelwald said "always my angel"
Newt said "im fine just a little sad"
Grindelwald said "want to tell me what happened?"
Newt said "no but I can show you." Newt looked up into Grindelwald eyes and shows him the memory
Grindelwald said "your brother is a arsehole for doing that and leta is not much better in my opinion"
Newt looks away and said "I don't know why it still hurts when they do that after all they have been doing it for a few years now"
Grindelwald said "because you are a sweet caring person. it hurts you when your family treats you like that. I'm sorry little angel next time you are not going if you don't want to, I should not have let jack influence your decision"
Newt said "it's not your fault I made my own decision after jack explained things, you left it up to me and it means a lot to me that you would not make me go somewhere I don't want to"
Grindelwald said "let's finish feeding them and take your little thunderbird to meet Antonio because I don't see it leaving you"
Newt said "it imprinted on me so it's not very likely thunderbird's are big on family and sharing nest"
Grindelwald said "so long as it doesn't zap me I think her and Antonio will get along"
They feed the animals then went upstairs with Stormy who cuddle up to Antonio like they were long lost siblings so we go to bed wrapped around each other with Cassie,Antonio and Stormy laying at the foot of the bed
The next morning
Grindelwald woke up to newt nibbling on his neck
Grindelwald groans "don't start what you don't intend to finish little minx"
Newt stopped and said "well turnabout is only fair"
Grindelwald said "love please don't tease my control is only so good"
Newt playfully said "well maybe we can go further then teasing soon" before jumping up and running to the bathroom
Grindelwald said to himself "he's going to be the death of me"
Death respond "don't worry master you won't die for a long time yet"
Grindelwald said "you have been hanging out with chaos haven't you"
Death said "of course we are old friends after all"
Grindelwald said "great"
Newt came out and said "hey death"
Death said "how did you know I was here"
Newt said "hang out with chaos to much and you can sense primordial beings"
Death said "you must be sensitive to magic then"
Newt said "most likely although I would not know since I have always been this way"
Death said "he is a keeper sad I can't take him"
Grindelwald said "he's mine leave him alone"
Death said "testy there are we, not to worry I can't take those marked by my siblings"
Newt said "nice meeting you"
Death said "you really do not fear me do you"

Death disappeared
Newt said "what is on your agenda for today?"
Grindelwald said" jack and Abernathy meetings about a event tomorrow that they expect a traitor to be at we just don't know who the spy is"
Newt said "why not cast protego diabolical on the doors?"
Grindelwald said "the wand movement has been lost and I can find no one who remembers the spell"
Newt said "I can teach you,jack and Abernathy I know how to cast it, you cast it wandless with your intention and control it with your wand, you cannot cast it with your wand, it keeps out those who wish you harm"
Grindelwald said "I can't believe I never considered that given it is a dark spell so powered by intent"
Newt said "I'll even teach my modified version of it (protego pure diabolical) that keeps anyone who considers you a enemy or is not loyal to you out
It causes the flames to be blue and is harder to control because it becomes a manifestation of the primordial God you are closest to, when I cast it it will drive them insane with chaos if you were to cast it it would kill them due to you being the master of death, as for jack and Abernathy I don't know what it would do if they used it since I don't know what primordial being has claims on their soul's, although if you lose control it will go on a rampage till it is satisfied with the damage done"
Grindelwald said "wow that sound intimidating"
Newt said "it is a little"
Grindelwald said "you modified the spell why?"
Newt said "I thought it could use some improvements but it makes it harder to control"
Grindelwald said "I would love to learn both but let's just teach jack and Abernathy the basic one for now"
Newt said "ok"
A few hours later all three had mastered the spell
Jack said "newt you are a good teacher"
Abernathy said "I would not mind learning more from you in the future"
Grindelwald said "you two are done today have the day off I'm taking newt for a date after he shows me something else"
Newt said "Let's get started"
A hour later Grindelwald said "that was more difficult to control even with the elder wand"
Newt said "it is intent based and emotionally fueled so it takes practice but once you get the hang of it you can even use it to attack"
Grindelwald said "I will practice a little each day I should get the hang of it before long"
Newt said "most likely you will"
They went on a date and went to bed exhausted from the magic they had casted
The few days later
Jack said "that spell worked like a charm we are going to add it to each meeting so no spy's can enter hopefully"
Newt said "if they don't intend harm they can enter so be careful"
Abernathy said "you never did tell us how you learnt the spell"
Newt said "it was invented by the first dragon friend to protect dragons, dragon's now teach it to their young and those they mark as dragon friend's I'm marked by a few different dragons so I learned a few different spells each type has sacred spells to them that they can teach"
Grindelwald said "how fascinating I never knew that"
Newt said "it is a dragon friend's most treasured secret it is not to be shared lightly or to those who would betray the dragons"
Grindelwald said "I'm glad you trust us enough to share that secret"
Newt said "I know you won't betray me Grindelwald and jack and Abernathy have vowed not to betray you so I figured it would be safe"
Grindelwald said "are you going to meet Dumbledore?"
Newt said "I don't intend to why?"
Grindelwald said "I was thinking maybe play along to see what he wants"
Newt said "I'm not so sure about that he tends to know what buttons to push to get what he wants"
Jack said "I found out what he wants I think"
Jack said "he is interested in your newt thesis you were working on on your owl year"
Newt said "the one on how unbreakable vow were only as good as the wording for example someone could tell there second in command to kill Someone and then go take a vow to never intentionally cause that person harm and get away with it because it happened by someone else's hand and it was ordered before the vow?"
Newt said "or my thesis on blood oaths?"
Jack said "I don't know"
Grindelwald said "he would be interested in the blood oath thesis"
Newt said "I don't know why it was just a paper on how a weakly made one could be broken if both sides no longer respect each other, it has no effect on any other blood pact,blood vow or strongly made blood oaths that form a trinket"
Grindelwald said "it's because of this we vowed never to fight the other"
Newt said "what was the wording and intent behind it? Because that doesn't clarify verbally, physically or magically"
Grindelwald said "my intent was in a duel"
Newt said "may I cast a diagnostic on it?"
Grindelwald said "sure I don't really care if it breaks I still don't want to fight Dumbledore he killed his own sister during a three way duel, I casted at and hit aberforth aberforth hit me with his spell leaving only Dumbledore to kill Ariana and aberforth knows this it's why they don't get along, if he would kill his sister I don't want to know what he would do to someone he didn't like anymore"
Newt said "that is fair my scan shows that so long as you don't try to personally kill Albus or Aberforth the oath stands and will not break, I don't know why aberforth is listed if he wasn't part of the oath but it list him"
Grindelwald said "good to know"
Newt said "it is interesting how blood oaths work, it can only be broken by death sometimes if the one's who made it truly trusted and loved each other"
Grindelwald said "I didn't know that was even possible"
Newt said "it has happened twice both times it was a soul bonded pair*
Abernathy said "soul bonded pair?*
Newt said "yes it's a similar ritual to a handfasting but it kills if they don't truly love each other because it bonds the soul's eternally one dies with the other it is quite romantic"
Jack said "hey Abernathy want to soul bond next year?"
Abernathy said "not till you get better with expressing emotions like love"
Jack said ”I'll work on that for you"
Grindelwald said "I know what I'm adding to the wedding plans"
Newt squeaked "what wedding?"
Grindelwald said "our wedding once I warm you up to the idea"
Newt said "I love you but don't spring stuff like that on me randomly without warning"
Grindelwald said "ok warning I want to marry you in the future"
Newt said "I think I'd like that but not quite yet, you still have a few creatures to earn the trust of"
Grindelwald said "the whole they were here first thing is a little anoying"
