Newt said "then perhaps we can spend time with them till they see you are not stealing me away from them"

A few days later
Grindelwald said "I didn't know how affectionate nundus and zouwu are"
Newt laughed softly and said "try a chin rub next time and they probably won't let you go for even longer"
Grindelwald said "I am surprised that any of them let you leave the briefcase then"
Newt said "sometimes it is a little work but if I spend enough time with them they are not so clingy"
Grindelwald said "that is fascinating angel, perhaps we can spend a little more time with them before bed"

Grindelwald said "then we will try it for a few nights before deciding if we should do it on nights we are not exhausted from the random things of the day"

They go to Grindelwalds office and listen to a few idiots who could have just filled out the forms instead of reporting in person
Grindelwald called jack up to his office and premoted him to getting the reports from henchmen,leaving just the higher members of the alliance and Allie's for Grindelwald to deal with
Jack said "yay I could use some work information gathering has been slow since we got most of what we wanted or needed from the party and I am working on getting a few spy's into the parties, so newt never has to go again if he doesn't want to after reading what Theseus and leta said I got upset and see why he avoids the parties as much as possible.... Also what some of the guest were saying was despicable, how did the meeting go with newt's retired auror buddies"
Grindelwald said "they are a creative bunch with their threats, they are Allie's mainly for newt so long as he side's with me they will spy or fight for us as needed"
Jack said "that is good boss, anything they wanted to add information wise"
Newt said "they are sending a few files that should interest you they should arrive tonight or tomorrow morning with my fwooper who-who because no one is crazy enough to mess with a fwooper that is three times the normal size and has a blood red beak that might actually be dried blood I have never actually checked now that I think of it,but it goes so well with her pink and red feathers and she has the cutest grumpy face with a augurey crazy hair day,most people see who-who as intimidating"
Jack laughed nervously "I wonder why"
Grindelwald said "she is really sweet if you remember the sunflower seeds"
Newt said "she is the sweetest"
Grindelwald said "to you and me yes but she Peck's at others if they don't feed sunflower seeds"
Newt said "that explains some of the reply letters I have gotten, my auror friends are the ones who got her hooked on them"
Jack said "I'll be back boss after I order metric ton of sunflower seeds"

They worked on some paperwork newt doing the easy repetitive task's and Grindelwald crossed the t's and dotted the i's
A bit later they went down to dinner
Abernathy said "good job avoiding aurors jack you have made them paranoid that we are planning a attack or something"
Grindelwald snorted and said "if we were I would let them know so they could show up for some entertainment"

Newt said "that is ok, I'm sorry I'm cranky I have a upset stomach since lunch"

Newt cast a diagnostic scan on jack
Newt said "someone slipped you a poison, the herbs in the stew blocked it from working or you would be very ill at the moment"
Newt handed over a antidote and casted it on Abernathy and Grindelwald neither of them had been poisoned
Newt scanned himself and it showed nightshade poisoning
Newt took a antidote as well
Grindelwald and Abernathy said "you two are going to go lay down while we find out who did this"
Newt said "I'll be fine I have things to do my stomach just hurts a bit"
Grindelwald said "lay down take a nap I'll help you tonight with your briefcase"
Newt said "fine but only because I'm a little shaky after taking that antidote"
Grindelwald said "are you sure you are okay?"
Newt said "I'm fine"
Jack said "I'm not going to bed I'm head of the intelligence gathering so I have shit to do and I want to find out who did this"
Newt said "jack take it easy the antidote can cause dizziness"
Abernathy said "I just want you safe and to rest darling"
Jack said "well if they poisoned us here we are not safe in our rooms"
Newt said "I'm safe I have a nundu and a zouwu who would love cuddle time and a occamy that is big on cuddle guarding and a baby thunderbird that is starting to experiment with lightning and Cassie the cub"
Everyone looks at him
Newt said "what?"
Grindelwald said "only you could sleep surrounded by dangerous animals"
Newt said "you did the other day"
Grindelwald said "it was one nundu who was in your lap not a briefcase full of them, although I know that they are not dangerous to you and mostly me but still it is hard to wrap a head around for some people"
Newt said "well you know where I will be also I'm going to place a sticking charm on it so only you can move it Grindelwald, just a reminder it is fireproof so don't freak out about any fire coming out of it from the dragon hatchlings it is containing"
Newt said "also before going in take a dragon pox potion from the cabin I have three new dragons I got day before yesterday and they have not been quarantined yet so may be contagious"
Grindelwald said "thank you for the reminder"
Newt went upstairs and cuddled up with his animals
A few hours later Grindelwald went to check on him and found mortymus acting as newt's pillow
Grindelwald said "newt liebling you doing okay?"
Newt said "I'm just a little nauseous and shaky I'll be fine, I just don't react well to the antidote it has a few ingredients that I'm mildly allergic to so it takes longer than usual to start working"
Grindelwald said "you should have told me and I would have stayed with you"
Newt said "I didn't want to be a bother to you"
Grindelwald said "you were poisoned that is not being a bother"
Newt said "I'm fine mortymus has been keeping a eye on my temperature and would have left the briefcase if I started showing any signs of going down hill"
Newt said "mortymus can talk he just doesn't like to talk, he is actually quiet intelligent for a manticore and manticores are known for their intelligence"
Grindelwald said "well we still have not figured out who did this, me and Abernathy want you and jack to be careful love, how about I take you back up to the bedroom"
Newt said "I like it here it's warm"
Grindelwald said "that is because you are in the desert habitat for the thunderbird, I don't know how you can handle the animals cuddling you in this heat"
Newt said "because they are warm"
Grindelwald said "you have a fever and are cold don't you?"
Newt said "maybe but it isn't very high"

Mortymus growls "no he stays with us until he better"

Mortymus lays on newt's stomach

Newt said "I don't want to, I'm fine the fever will break in a hour or so it's not the first time I have been poisoned with nightshade"
Grindelwald said "why am I not surprised by that, who did it then?"
Newt said "don't really know, i think it was on the blade someone cut me with on a rescue mission that time, no clue this time perhaps the tea me and jack had just before lunch"
Grindelwald said "I'll check into that did you make it?"
Newt said "no, Ellie brought it to us"
Grindelwald said "I'll talk to Ellie"
Newt said "how has your day been?"
Grindelwald said "good until someone poisoned my precious angel"
Newt mumbled "still not a angel"
Grindelwald chuckles and said "yes, you are liebling"
Newt fell asleep with grindelwald still trying to convince mortymus to move
A few hours later
Newt said "I'm fine the antidote worked and I am back to mostly normal"
Grindelwald said "I don't care I want you to take it easy."
Newt said "I will take it a little easier if you will stop hovering"
Grindelwald said "sorry I'm getting on your nerves, I'm just worried about you"
Newt said "you are not getting on my nerves yet, I understand that you are worried about me but you can calm it just a tad"
Grindelwald said "I will try not to hover so much although I find it funny that jack can't get Abernathy to leave him alone long enough for a trip to the bathroom"
Newt said "don't even think about it"
Grindelwald said "I would never think of doing a thing like that"
Newt snorted and said "yes and I'm a fairy princess"
Grindelwald said "what a image you would make"
Newt said "come on you have meetings with your lieutenant's today"
Grindelwald said "I'm bringing you with me, I don't want you out of my sight for that long yet"
Newt said "fine but I have to feed everyone later"

Newt said "ok then let's get to your meetings, although they will probably complain about a

Newt said "that was boring"
Grindelwald said "not really it was more exciting than normal"

Grindelwald found out it was a house elf who had snuck in that poisoned them, the house elf disliked newt because newt got his previous owner arrested
Newt said "see it's not always a conspiracy,sometimes it's just deranged house elfs"
Grindelwald said "I need to update the wards to only allow certain house elfs in"
Newt said "that would not be a bad idea,let me know if you need any help"
Grindelwald said "normally I would be insulted by the offer but thank you"
Newt said "everyone has their weak spots mine is I suck at transfiguration and seeing into the future or reading tea leafs and most D.A.D.A spells,im better at the dark arts and general defense"

Jack said "why not take the ICW standardized test for your newt test even Brittan would have to acknowledge it then"
Newt said "I will think about it"
Abernathy said "Grindelwald is having a bad day"

Newt goes to Grindelwalds office and knocks
Grindelwald said "if it's not important go away"
Newt said "ok I will,I was just checking on you"

Newt walks in and said "is everything okay? You seem upset"
Grindelwald said "I lost my best lieutenant today, he was ambushed by Travers with the help of Dumbledore"
Newt said "I'm sorry you lost your friend, is this a ice cream and cuddle kinda thing or a let's summon chaos and sic him on them kinda thing"
Grindelwald said "can it be a little of both?"
Newt said "add in a nap if it is both because dealing with chaos can cause a headache or exhaustion"
Grindelwald said "deal"
Newt said "chaos would you care to cause some chaos for me?"
Chaos popped in and said "can I invite death it could be a date night?"
Newt said "that is up to you Travers and his lackey's killed a friend of Grindelwalds so have fun and if you want some extra fun no killing but maybe drive Dumbledore a little more crazy"
Chaos said "considered it done thanks I was getting bored and was about to set a wild nundu loose in your manor to liven things up a little" Chaos leaves
Grindelwald said "now I see why you try not to summon chaos although would she have let a nundu loose"
Newt said "yes and given it psychedelic mushrooms to cause more chaos"
Grindelwald said "remind me to make sure it doesn't get to tame around here then"
Newt said "good luck, that doesn't always work"
Newt said "let's go get that triple cherry vanilla ice cream and cuddle Infront of the fire"
Grindelwald said "sounds perfect to me, maybe some marshmallow cream for it"
Newt said "with caramel?"
Grindelwald said "I'll set the fire"
Newt said "I'll get the ice cream and fixins"
A few hours later
Grindelwald said "you always know how to cheer me up when I'm sad, I didn't see his death coming"
Newt said "you don't get to see everything, the fates decide what you are allowed to see and prevent, if they didn't let you see it then you probably couldn't have prevented his death without altering the fates plans"
Grindelwald said "for someone who can't even read tea leafs, you have a deep understanding of the fates and how vision's work"
Newt said "well, I didn't know that much about it until I met you and read up on it some so I could help"

Grindelwald said "there is not much I can do, if I attack he is a martyr if I ignore it it sends a message of weakness"
Newt said "how about we start making it seem like he is mentally unstable and unwell start slowly discrediting him then he will strike and look even worse if we play it right"
Grindelwald said "that is a brilliant idea, I thought you were not for sides?"
Newt said "my brother has been sending me howlers since the party and all the rest of my friends are on your side so I guess I'm picking your side"
Grindelwald smiles and kisses newt before saying "you won't regret your decision to trust me"
Newt said "I know"
Grindelwald said "although were did you come up with a plan like that, it seems colder than you normally go for"
Newt said "I did learn a few things from my mum and the hippogriffs, that was one of them it is how head of herds change for hippogriffs they make the current head seem senile then replace them"
Grindelwald said "that is fascinating and might just work I'll run it past Jack and Abernathy, do you want to join in on the planning?"
Newt said "I'm not sure how much help I will be but sure, he hurt you emotionally so I don't mind striking back now"
Grindelwald said "thank you, I know you don't really care for violence"
Newt said "but sometimes even Budda had to kick a little arse, my way of saying sometimes you have to pick violence to protect those that you hold most dear human or animal"
Grindelwald said "well spoken, although I don't remember this Budda you speak of?"
Newt said "he is a muggle historical figure of a religious sect"
Grindelwald said "that is interesting, I'll have to look into it later"
Newt said "it is quite interesting to study, not my cup of tea but interesting"
Grindelwald said "true but our beliefs are not muggles cup of tea so it is only fair we disagree on religious matter's"
Newt said "yes I wish Dumbledore would stop messing with our traditions and catering to the muggle born who should learn about mother magic,father death and the other deity's who give us our magic and our ways of life"
Grindelwald said "I agree it is disrespectful to go into another culture and expect them to change to accommodate you, all witches and wizards should learn our ways and history even if they choose not to practice, we should not be asked to give them up and convert to their religions"
Newt said "exactly"
A few days later
Jack and Abernathy are concerned that it was newt's idea and not Grindelwalds seeing as it was a little cold
Newt said "I am not pollijuiced I promise"
Grindelwald said "it's a hippogriff challenge ritual"
