To decode the messages and writes it out for him they finished just in time for lunch
They went down to lunch
Jack said "boss he was a big help on decoding the messages, he didn't have a problem with any of them"
Grindelwald said "I'm glad we know the messages now"
Newt said "that ring uses basic lingo not even really coded like some do where you need a cypher those are a pain to figure out"

Jack said "I'll tell him but make sure to eat something"
Abernathy said "I'll tell him as well will you be back later tonight?"
Newt replied "if my recon mission goes good should be back ten-ten thirty tonight"
Abernathy said "want some back up?"
Newt said "no, I'm not going in I want to watch first see if the Intel is correct,it was a little too detailed and anonymous so I don't trust it"
Jack said "I'll look over the message while you are gone"
Newt said "thank you" and handed it to jack before apperating away
A few minutes later Grindelwald came down and asked where newt was
jack explained newt was doing recon after he got a message today

Jack said "he gave me the message, I agree it's anonymous and way to detailed has to be from someone inside the operation, don't know more yet until he gets back"

They ate dinner and went separate ways
Newt arrived to sit in a tree watching a old abandoned warehouse for a bit before seeing the cages go in fifty cages seventy guards newt noticed a few patterns in the guard rotation and wrote them down before leaving

Newt said "I'll try to remember that"
Grindelwald pulled him into a hug and held him

Grindelwald smiled and stood there watching newt walk away to get changed for bed
Newt came back out a few minutes later and crawled into bed and casted a extra warming charm
Grindelwald pulled him closer and said " you are cold, did you forget warming charms on your recon mission?"
Newt said "no, it was in Russia in a blizzard I'm a little froze even dressed properly for it and warming charms"
Grindelwald said "you need to be more careful liebling, I don't want you to get sick because you stayed out in a blizzard for a recon mission. I could have sent someone else to do"
Newt said "I'm fine,I won't get sick also I prefer to do my own recognizance since I trusted a idiot to do it and was told there were guard dogs not werewolves who could shift at will"
Grindelwald said "well that would make one do there own recon missions I suppose"
They go to sleep cuddled up again
The next day Grindelwald's office
Grindelwald said "let's go get vinda to show her this plan"
Newt said "sure, I'll follow you since I still have issues finding some rooms"

They walk to vinda's office and hear her talking to her husband Trevor

Grindelwald said "I'll go see about the black panther I think it is Newt"

Grindelwald rubbed behind newt's ear until newt drifted off to sleep a few minutes later he had newt fully clothed in his lap asleep

Newt said "I'm sleepy sorry, I didn't mean to change into my panther form"

Grindelwald tucked newt in and went back down stairs to get things straightened out and also it's lunch time,newt has just had a emotional day I hope he postpones releasing the animals to tomorrow, and I need to find a new second in command maybe promote Abernathy and have him pick the new head of guard
Three o'clock in the afternoon newt wakes up and goes downstairs to see Grindelwald about to head upstairs
Grindelwald said "I was just heading up to check on you"
Newt said "well as you can see I'm fine now, sorry about freaking out a little"
Grindelwald said "it is no problem, let's talk about it I have two hours before I'm needed back downstairs"

They went upstairs and sat on the couch in front of the fire

"There were some kids in Hogwarts griffendor's in fact that picked on me. the Hufflepuff and Slytherin's tried to keep them away but it didn't always work. anyway one day they cornered me and we're going on about how nobody would ever want a freak like me for anything else besides a playtoy or doll depending on who said it. they would remind me of that several times a week, then one day one of the boys tried to force me into the potions classroom I don't know why but I have my suspicions, luckily the potions master took him to the headmaster at the time" newt shuddered at the memory before adding "I was expelled because of leta blaming something on me a few days later. none of the professor's did anything about the bullying not even Dumbledore, who just said kid's will be kid's and not to let it get to me, main reason I don't help him with anything even though he has sent a lot of letters wanting me to help with something but doesn't say what"
Grindelwald said "those kids should have gotten into trouble for that or even expelled! I can see why the memory came up with vinda and Trevor talking like that"
Grindelwald pulled newt onto his lap and said "you are staying here until I have to go downstairs"
Newt relaxed against him and said "I don't think I mind that"
A little bit later Grindelwald invited newt to join him in his office
Newt said "I probably should go release the animals today"
Grindelwald said "you can do that tomorrow morning so they have longer with you before nightfall"
Newt said "that's true, I guess I will do it tomorrow, I don't want to bother you though"
Grindelwald said "you would not be a bother I can run a few things past you before driving Abernathy crazy with them, he isn't really happy to be promoted when he saw the amount of paperwork"
Newt snorted and said "I wonder why"
Grindelwald said "I have no clue" laughing
The next day
Grindelwald woke up and saw newt getting out of the shower with a towel wrapped around his waist
Grindelwald said "love the door popped open again"
Newt said "thanks" and closed the door to get dressed
Newt opened the door a few minutes later and said "we need to fix that"
Grindelwald said "you know you like the peep show it gives you when I forget the towel"
Newt blushed and said "while that is not a bad sight I think we should probably fix it before it's a more embarrassing sight"
Grindelwald said "I'm not to sure I want to lose getting to see you in a towel chest dripping with water"
Newt blushed harder "Grindelwald I'm serious!"
Grindelwald said "ok liebling if it means that much to you I'll fix it" he cast a overpowered repaireo and said "see good as new"
Newt said "keep it up and I'll remember to cast a locking charm"
Grindelwald said "forgive me love, I just love waking to the sight of you"
Newt said "you are forgiven, I like looking at you as well"
Grindelwald said "if you get back before nine what do you think of going out for dinner tonight liebling?"
Newt said "I would love to go out with you"
Grindelwald said "I'll see you before then"
Newt spent the rest of the morning releasing the animals that had healed, then spent the afternoon going over newt's plan for the Russia operation with Jack who had insisted on knowing newt's plan before he went in, jack is trying to drive in breaking into a place to free or rehabilitate the animals is not a plan
Grindelwald arrived and said "it's time for me to steal newt for our date"
Newt said "thanks for the rescue"
Jack said "before Russia you are coming up with a plan even if I have to tie you up to get one!"
Grindelwald said "chaos is his plan because there is no way to plan all the variables of the situation, if he get caught he fights and retreats if he is successful they never know he was there till after he is gone, that is his version of a plan"
Jack growls "chaos is not a plan!"
Abernathy said "come on dear time for our date and chaos can be a plan"
Newt said "thank you Grindelwald, Abernathy"
Jack said "if your dating shouldn't you call him gellert?"
Newt said "Grindelwald isn't overly fond of his name brings back memories of Dumbledore which he doesn't like"
Grindelwald said "thank you for understanding me liebling, Dumbledore ruined the name for me with some of the things he has claimed I was for. I don't want to kill all muggles or rule the magical world, I just want equality for all wizard or No-magi it doesn't matter to me, why not try to live in peace invite the No-magi's in our families into our world and let wizards date who they wish and bring them in to widen the bloodlines, I don't want to reveal our world to them but to invite a select few in and let them have equal rights as we wizards do, I want to help squibs be accepted as well"
Newt said "I'm aware dear you have told me before"
Grindelwald said "that's the first time you have called me dear"
Newt said "I hope you don't mind"

Newt and Grindelwald go to Berlin for a show and dinner they watched Frankenstein and newt laughed at all the necromancy mistakes in it and said that would never work even with magic
Grindelwald said "no-magi's can come up with some pretty twisted concepts even if they would never work"
Newt said "so where are we getting dinner"
Grindelwald said "a nice little German diner not far from here with the best biscuits I have had since I was a boy"
Newt said "sounds good, thank you for showing me the place"
They go into Lucy's diner and order biscuits and fried fajitas seasoned potatoes with extra sour cream and cheese
They ate as they talked
Newt said "so what made you decide the path of a dark lord over the path of a politician?"
Grindelwald said "I didn't like how corrupt politicians became, I wanted to stick to my goals and politicians often lose there goals to power as a dark lord I could focus on my goals head on and not worry about stepping on the wrong toes to get what I wanted"
Newt said "good answer"
Grindelwald said "how did you get into animal rescue and rehabilitation?"
newt said "my mother raised hippogriffs and I adored them. once I got into Hogwarts I saw a lot of abused animals and wanted to help them so I did"
Newt said "what is your favorite food?"
Grindelwald said "biscuits or the stew you made that was really good I have a craving for it to be honest, what is your favorite?"
Newt said "I'll have to make you some soon, hard question I like most things but my favorite would have to be cheesecake with carrot cake on top with a cream cheese frosting"
Grindelwald said "that sounds good I have never had it before, what is your favorite color?"
Newt said "brown or green you?"
Grindelwald said "silver, black or green"
Newt said "what is your favorite animal? I personally don't have a favorite"
Grindelwald said "I'm quit partial to small black Panthers but favorite would have to be a chupacabra"
Newt laughed and said "I have a few chupacabra kits in my care right now would you like to meet them soon, his name is Antonio his sister is vindaloo I named her before I met vinda"
Grindelwald said "I would love to when will they be released"
Newt said "Antonio I have to find a home for perhaps you if you two get along. he is quarter of the size he should be so can't go back to the wild, his sister is leaving in the next week or so"
Grindelwald said "then I would definitely like to meet little Antonio"
Newt said "tomorrow morning if we get up a little early"
Grindelwald said "or we can get up at normal time and I hide from Abernathy ranting about paperwork for thirty minutes"
Newt said "he waits for you to arrive before he starts"
Grindelwald said "I don't care I'm still hiding from him for my morning wake up time"
They went home and cuddled before falling asleep around midnight
The next day Newt woke up first at five in the morning and started making stew and homemade rolls in his cabin kitchen, before going and waking Grindelwald at six
Newt said "come on it time to wake up"

Newt said "I'm making you a surprise dinner tonight so don't complain about me getting up earlier"

Grindelwald said "I know but a few of your animals don't trust me yet"
Newt said "perhaps we should spend a little more time in there together"
Grindelwald said "I like the sounds of that"
Newt said "if you distract jack tomorrow I will go bust into the Russia operation before he finds out I plan to"
Grindelwald said "I'll tell Jack to leave you alone tomorrow will that work?"
Newt said "if he listens yes it should"
Grindelwald said "well if he doesn't I can send him to musca for a week on intelligence gathering for annoying you my angel"
Newt growls playfully "I'm not a angel"
