Immortality
Vinda said "you are a badass angel newt seriously I don't know how you took that many down, controlled fiendfire and apperated around like crazy and never got tired or passed out"
Grindelwald said "I thought you said you didn't duel well"
Abernathy said "I'm exhausted just watching that how aren't you asleep or more injured also how did you dodge the killing curse most freeze"
Newt said "Abernathy don't know some spells don't drain my core at all and some hit it hard fiendfire was actually my first bout of accidental magic I saw a dragon and tried to breath fire like it did, it has never been hard to control to me it is like a old friend as for the killing curse I didn't freeze because in some of the other ring bust I have done they tossed it around like candy,
I was dodging five or six at a time so one is a piece of cake if I see it in time"
Newt said "vinda I don't know what to say to that but thank you,lack of injury is due to experience probably"
Newt said to Grindelwald "I'm really not that good at dueling that was more chaos then dueling to me"
Grindelwald said "if you can handle that you can duel you just need to learn a few more basic spells, also we are teaching you a few more dark spells my little àngel, how many times can you apperate before needing to rest out of curiosity?"
Newt said "I'll learn whatever you teach me so long as it's not a super core drain, about two hundred times close range and fifty or so long range or to musca from here three times but that takes longer to recover from"
Grindelwald said "you are extremely powerful with some spells but not others how fascinating"
Vinda said "well let's get a few hours before we need to be back up"
Grindelwald said "I don't care about the first three meetings we can reschedule them, I'm getting at least six hours tonight or someone is dieing"
Newt yawns and said "I'm done for tonight and I don't care where I crash at this point to be honest one of the potions is kicking in"
Abernathy said "sleep is for the weak also I have a meeting in fifteen minutes or I'd be unconscious now"
Vinda laughed and said "he got a nap after he got hit on the head"
Newt said "that does not count because it's not a restful sleep"
Grindelwald said" let's go upstairs liebling"
Newt said "lead the way"
Grindelwald hooked his arm around newt's waist and guided him to Grindelwalds bedroom and laid newt down and covered him in a few extra blankets knowing that when newt is extra sleepy or hurt he likes extra warmth before getting into bed and cuddling him as close as possible, newt nuzzles in even closer before drifting off to sleep
Newt wakes up nice and warm a few hours later and tries to scoots away from the warmth until the warmth laughed and pulled him closer
Grindelwald said "angel if you are too warm I'll remove a blanket but don't try to leave my arms"
Newt said "it is comfy here just a little too warm". newt tossed off a blanket and curled back up against Grindelwald
Grindelwald said "we still have two hours or so"
Newt mumbles a "good" and falls back to sleep
Grindelwald chuckles softly at newt before drifting back to sleep himself
Newt woke up two hours later to Grindelwald nuzzling his neck and using his shoulder as a pillow in his sleep
Newt woke him up so he could get ready for the day
Grindelwald said "stay here today liebling?"
Newt said "I need to get the briefcase and feed the ones in my basement or just add them to the briefcase, write my brother and say Elliot went back to Australia after apologizing and getting a cure, then I can come back here for the day i might bring Cassie if you don't mind"
Grindelwald said "ok that's better than I expected you to say, she is welcomed anytime"
Newt said "what did you expect me to say?"
Grindelwald said "something along the lines of the creatures need me and I don't want to expose the briefcase yet"
Newt said "well I probably shouldn't until I test the wards and locks better but I'm willing to trust that you will not mess with it without me present, also only Abernathy,jack,vinda and you are keyed in to open or close the briefcase so I am putting trust in you and them not to betraying me, anyone else will just see a normal briefcase for a writer"
Grindelwald said "nice security features, thank you for the trust I will not betray it and I will give the others a dire warning about doing so"
Newt said "that's really not necessary, if they are going to they are going to even if you threaten them,so I see it as pointless and a trust test because I will know not to trust them again if they mess up"
Grindelwald said "interesting philosophy to have angel,I think you might have some trust issues"
Newt said "probably, I either keep people out or over trust them so I have learnt to just not trust fully overtime"
Grindelwald said "well I hope I never break the trust you have given me liebling,I'll never intentionally betray your trust"
Newt said "thank you,I will try to believe that"
Grindelwald said "that is all I ask of you liebling"
Newt left and wrote Theseus and grabbed his briefcase after moving the basement inhabitants into it,he also packed up his library into the cabin in the briefcase because it is more secure and a handful of items that he was sentimentally attached to ended up added to the briefcase as well before he went back to Grindelwalds and set the case up in his room for now until Grindelwald told him where he could keep it
A little bit later
Newt went downstairs for lunch
Vinda said "good to see the little danger magnet"
Newt said" I'm not a danger magnet maybe chaos but not danger"
Vinda said "chaos is dangerous"
Abernathy said "not to those who embrace the chaos"
Vinda said "yes it is that doesn't change anything"
Jack said "well newt and Abernathy seem to be more ok then most,they embrace chaos as a old friend like Grindelwald embraces death like a old friend"
Grindelwald said "well chaos is deaths best friend I would say, maybe that is why I like newt he is like chaos and I'm like death"
Vinda said "just because you are the master of death doesn't mean that"
Newt said "cool I'm the master of chaos, what did you have to do to become master of death?"
Grindelwald said 'I collected a wand,a cloak and a ring made by death, the deathly hallows, what did you have to do"
Newt said "not be tempted by the darkness of the void, cause absolute chaos and contain it, and invoke chaos as a being who then bowed to me and said I was master of chaos and if I ever needed help to summon him, I never have also I did all the tests on accident"
Grindelwald laughed and said "only you love only you could master chaos on accident"
Vinda said "great the master's of death and chaos dating, we sure this doesn't start a apocalypse correct?"
Grindelwald said "certain, because I'd never destroy a world with newt in it"
Newt said "aww that is sweet, I try not to destroy anything let alone the world so I think you are safe here"
Abernathy said "good enough for me, does that mean your Loki's boss by default"
Newt said "yes, although I don't ever intend to do anything with my power"
Jack said "wise Loki probably would not like having a boss"
Grindelwald said "I would not mind you causing chaos"
Newt said "well I can make chaos out of order and order out of chaos which is what I prefer to do most the time"
Grindelwald said "I don't like you in danger without back up but I guess you have the primordial God of chaos as backup if you summon him"
Newt said "I guess you could call death for backup if you got into trouble"
Grindelwald said "I'd rather not he can be grumpy and irritating"
Newt said "exactly that's a last resort kinda thing right before death thing not a first thought"
Grindelwald said "fair enough"
Vinda laughed and said "you two are perfect together!"
Abernathy said "yeah they are they don't understand the definition of retreat, outnumbered or danger"
Jack said "I'd argue if I had a stance to do so"
Newt said "well I suppose working with nundus and dragon's regularly can affect a person's sense of danger"
Grindelwald said "very true I suppose,in my case I am powerful and have the elder wand"
Newt said " and immortality most likely"
Grindelwald said "I am,are you?"
Newt said "anyone who faces the void and doesn't get sucked into it's power and corruption gets immortality so yes"
Vinda said "where is this void"
Newt said "void demons and void creatures protect it, I faced the void after I helped one recover from injury's, it summoned it to leave but it tested me first"
Abernathy said "cool, I hope I run in to one"
Vinda said "I want to avoid them I don't want to be immortal"
Jack said "imagine what you could learn or find out"
Grindelwald said "great now they are going to try to become immortal aren't they"
Newt said "sounds like it although there are easier ways"
Jack said "the vampire thing sucks literally" (sorry my sense of humor made me do it)
Newt said "I was thinking more like getting a golden apple"
Abernathy said "that's a myth" with a eye roll
Newt said "no it's not I can get a few from the void or the god of chaos if you want, the apple judge's you if it doesn't think you will do more harm than good it grants immortality"
Grindelwald said "I think they should think on it since they would outlive everyone they know"
Newt said "it isn't to be decided lightly , I probably wouldn't have chosen immortality"
Abernathy said "boss is my only friend"
Jack said "Abernathy and boss are my only friend's and I am not interested in anyone besides Abernathy who is clueless"
Abernathy said" I like you as well I just didn't think you would like me"
Vinda said "I happen to be happy as a mortal sorry boss"
Grindelwald said "it's not for everyone, no hard feelings also it would be a bit weird if we were all immortal"
Newt said "yes it would be, I'm glad your not I would have missed you alot"
Grindelwald said" and I you little angel, I had planned to slowly tempt you into immortality"
Newt laughed and said "why am I not surprised"
Abernathy said "because you know he is possessive and clingy"
Newt smirked and said "that might be it"
Grindelwald said "you are teaming up on me you wound me angel"
Newt said "still not a angel, someone needed to see to it that
Your ego doesn't grow much more"
Grindelwald laughed "you are my little angel"
Newt said "I'm taller than you"
Grindelwald said "that doesn't matter you are still my little angel"
Newt smiles and shakes his head
They finished lunch with less banter before going back to work ,newt followed Abernathy to his office and they chatted about different things Abernathy does as head of the guard's
Newt said "that is interesting"
Abernathy said "and boss gave me a order to help you learn some more combat spells,and I am to learn more ducking and dodging from you"
Newt said "that sounds like fun"
Two hours later
Newt said "thanks for teaching me a few new spells"
Abernathy said "no problem although you can cast one hell of a stinging hex"
Newt said "you have to overpower them to correct dragon hatchlings so they learn not to crush you, I can cast it at a power level that makes it worse then the crutatius curse"
Abernathy said "then I am glad you held back, thanks for teaching me some new rolls and dives*
Newt and "no problem, I think that is important to know before any fight"
Abernathy said "I suppose it is"
Newt went to the library and read until dinner after checking in on his briefcase inhabitants
Newt goes down stairs for dinner
Grindelwald said "have any fun today liebling?"
Newt said "yes I learnt a few new spells and taught Abernathy some rolls and dives"
Grindelwald said "that is good"
Abernathy said "my shoulder hurts a bit"
Newt went over, you rolled wrong the last time you popped it out of joint, newt grabbed his shoulder and popped it back in
Abernathy said "oww that hurt like a bitch, that feels better"
Newt said "let that shoulder rest a few days so it doesn't pop right back out"
Grindelwald said "how did you know that?"
Newt said "I'm double jointed, it sucks because your joints pop out more easily then a normal person so I have a lot of practice, thumbs and hips are my least favorite, I'll take a shoulder popped out any day over that"
Grindelwald said "that sounds painful"
Newt said "it kinda is, perks you can bend beyond the breaking point for most joints and it doesn't really hurt, downside just twitch wrong and you will be popping a joint back in"
Grindelwald said "ouch, vinda how is Trevor doing"
Vinda said "my husband is just fine why?"
Grindelwald said "think he can help set up a meeting between his brother and me?"
Vinda said "I'll ask him tonight and let you know in the morning"
Grindelwald said "good thank you"
Jack said "I got some info on a auror raid next week on a wearhouse they think we own,it's actually a Malfoy cover operation should we help Malfoy or let him fall?"
Grindelwald said "see if he is willing to negotiate with us if he is we help if he isn't he can burn"
Newt said "I would be against that if I didn't know that the Malfoy's traffic animals I just can't prove it yet"
Jack said "I didn't know that what do you have so far"
Newt pulled out his bag and grabbed one of the files in it and handed it over, it includes verbal testimony saying different things and a few things newt pieced together
Newt said "this file and two employees memories but the aurors won't go for it till I have more "credible" proof"
Jack said "a lawyer could bust him with this, this is excellent blackmail material as well, and quality detective work"
Newt said "thank you, I know but no one wants to go against the Malfoy's, I don't like blackmail personally but you all can use it if you want to"
Jack said" what are the rest of the files on"
Newt said "some animal profiles and treatment chart's, the rest are files I have on different families in trafficking animals, or different rings I have been trying to take down via the aurors Because they are too dangerous to go into to rescue the creatures
Unless I am feeling highly suicidal immortal or not"
Jack said "can I look at them see if I can help a bit or use the info to help us"
Newt said "I don't mind so long as you don't destroy them without asking"
Jack said "deal"
Vinda said "you get along with us all newt, but I still don't know you that well how about tomorrow we have a day out"
Newt said "well I told jack I'd help him decode a few messages between some animal traffickers that crossed you all, Friday I have to release some animals so Saturday if you have time would be better"
Vinda said "how about I tag along Friday?"
Newt said "that will work just don't wear heels we are going deep in a south American rainforest and a forest over there that isn't a rainforest for the others"
Vinda said "thank you for the heads up Grindelwald never remembers to give"
Grindelwald said "I don't wear heels so i don't think of it"
Abernathy said "boss has a point"
Jack said" you should assume that if it isn't a meeting or shopping trip you should wear flats"
Abernathy said "jack is right"
Vinda said "when is the wedding?"
Jack sputters "we just started dating"
Grindelwald said "mine is not as soon as I would like"
Newt spluttered "we just started dating don't even think of it"
Grindelwald said "too late love I already have the ring, don't worry I'll wait till you are more comfortable here with me before asking"
Newt just groans and asked "why he didn't just stay home today or why he didn't just stay in the briefcase"
Vinda said "because you keyed him into both so he would have just annoyed you there"
Newt said "why did I think that was a good idea again"
Vinda said "insanity"
Jack said "most definitely"
Abernathy said "he would just break the wards you put up eventually"
Newt said "Abernathy wins"
Grindelwald said "I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable by telling you that, I know I will always want you by my side so I got the ring for when you were ready, I know that is not now liebling"
Newt said "thank you, just seems a little fast to me,I will try to calm down and see it from your point of view"
Grindelwald said "that is all I ask"
Vinda said "let me get this straight you two sleep together every night but a ring is to fast"
Newt turned red
Grindelwald said "we just cuddle he keeps the nightmares away letting me actually get a good night's sleep, I have not even gotten a little kiss yet"
Newt squeaked and ran out of the room embarrassed
Vinda said "what is his problem?"
Abernathy,jack and Grindelwald replied at the same time, "he is shy and private and we just talked about his romantic life at the dinner table"
Vinda said "ohh I guess I should probably apologize tomorrow"
Grindelwald said "that would be a good idea if he doesn't avoid you as much as possible"
Jack said "definitely going to have to try to find him tomorrow, he probably will just hide in his briefcase with a nundu or something"
Abernathy said "or make a side trip into the void"
Jack laughed "he did mention wanting to get us some golden apples"
Grindelwald said "yeah apologizing might not be easy,I'll try to talk him into seeing you tomorrow for a few minutes since you are tagging along Friday"
They ate dinner and went to bed Grindelwald brought a plate for newt since he hadn't eaten before he left the room
Grindelwald went into his room and didn't see newt, then he saw the briefcase open on the floor so he set the plate down in the coffee table and went into newt's briefcase for the first time
Grindelwald was amazed at the attention to detail in the craftsmanship of the wards, expansion charms,and other things that made the briefcase,he loved the little workshop/cabin/lab newt made and the different terrains for habitat's for them while they recover from whatever is wrong with them, he found newt in a library in the cabin curled up in front of a fire reading newt still looks a little upset and Cassie was curled up asleep on his lap
Grindelwald said liebling "I brought you a plate up to our room"
Newt said" thank you,I'm not really hungry though"
Grindelwald said "well I would like it if you ate at least something small, you are scrawny enough without skipping a meal liebling"
Newt said "I'll think about it"
Grindelwald said "I hope you know that you didn't need to run off"
Newt said "I really don't like talking about those sort of things with people"
Grindelwald said "I know you are a private person, I'm sorry I didn't stop her from continuing"
Newt said "it's not your job to, I just do not like what she assumed"
Grindelwald said "even if we didn't cuddle people would still assume things about us liebling"
Newt said "I know,I guess because I didn't socialize much when I was younger especially after I was expelled that I am just a little to sensitive to what others think of me"
Grindelwald said "that's not always a bad thing, now how about you eat something and we cuddle in front of the fire before bed, also vinda wants to talk to you tomorrow will you give her a chance for me"
Newt said "that sounds nice, I'll give her a chance but if she makes another remark like that I will be avoiding her as much as humanly possible for as long as possible"
Grindelwald said "fair enough"
The next day Grindelwald woke first to see newt still asleep holding his arm hostage as his pillow
Grindelwald said "love it's time to wake up"
Newt said "fine, I guess you want your arm back"
Grindelwald said "that would be nice"
Newt released his arm and went to go get dressed
Grindelwald said "see you at breakfast"
Newt said "yes unless I get distracted before then"
Grindelwald said "nope I'll drag you down for breakfast you didn't eat much last night"
Newt said "I don't really have a appetite when upset or stress"ed
Grindelwald said "I know but that means you are going to eat at breakfast"
Newt said "ok I'll be there"
A little bit later newt goes down stairs and eats some toast
Newt said "happy now?"
Grindelwald said "maybe if you eat something else I will be"
Newt said "I'm not a breakfast person you know that"
Grindelwald raised a eyebrow
Newt grabbed a blueberry muffin
Grindelwald said "now I'm happy"
Newt said "I'm glad you are"
Newt walked off to Jack's office
