Newt went around cleaning the animals habitats and fed them before spending time with a few to see when they could be released he finished about two in the afternoon, before getting ready for his date later tonight,he had just changed when he heard someone knock on his door
Grindelwald condensed some of his work together so he could leave earlier than he said and spend a little more time with newt before the date,he finished about two and was dressed and ready to go by three, he knocked on newt's door
Newt opened his door to see Grindelwald standing there, newt thinks Grindelwald looks kinda hot dressed up more than usual and the eyeliner made his eyes pop, newt invited him in
Grindelwald was amazed when newt opened the door to see newt in a brown vest and pants with a white button up shirt,he looks good in brown which is hard to do, I pulled newt into my arms when I stepped in and just hugged him before stepping back
Newt Grindelwald pulled me into a hug,it was nice. I was a little sad when he stepped back
Newt said "how did you sleep?"
Grindelwald said "not well had a bad vision again and nightmares I got up early, how about you liebling?"
Newt said "I gave up trying after two hours of tossing and turning,other than that it went fine"
Grindelwald said "well I was going to suggest just sitting and talking till our reservation at eight tonight but if you haven't slept and I didn't get much sleep,how about we take a small cat nap before dinner liebling?"
Newt said "that sounds like heaven let me start the fire"
Grindelwald said "I can do that with a few spells let's go lay down"
Newt said "I'm not going to argue" as he yawned
A few minutes later newt was sound asleep in Grindelwald arm and warm, Grindelwald is awake just soaking up the warmth that is newt before dosing off himself
They woke at seven
newt said "that was nice, I kinda missed you today and last night"
Grindelwald said "I missed you as well and I loved having you in my arms again liebling"
Newt said "I'm still not sure about moving in, I don't know anyone there or anything about it"
Grindelwald said" how about you spend a few hours a day there until you are Ready, I can spend the night here until then if you don't mind"
Newt said" I like the sound of that. I can probably fit in a few hours a day ,so long as I don't go on any rescue missions, if I do then I might have to skip a day here or there"
Grindelwald said "that is fine,just let me know so I don't worry if you don't show up and let me know when you are done"
Newt said "that sounds fair to me"
They went into the restaurant Grindelwald had the reservation at and sat in a back booth that had a view of the room both opting to sit where they could watch the room beside each other
Grindelwald ordered a creamy Alfredo lasagna with cheese no meat and garlic bread
Newt ordered a cheese stroganoff with cheese sticks
They split their plates so the other could try what they ordered before going on a walk in a park
Newt said "that was a nice dinner I had fun"
Grindelwald said "I'm glad you liked it liebling, let's go to your house to sleep, I will pick you up tomorrow at five to take you to my main house"
Newt said "that works for me"
The next morning Grindelwald left before newt woke
Newt went about his day like normal, in about a week he has a flock or diricawls he needs to release the mom had abandoned her nest and he found it and a thestral who had broken it's leg

Newt said "you have a lovely castle,it reminds me of Hogwarts a little"
Grindelwald said" it is bigger than a manor but a bit smaller than most castles,thank you it reminds me of durmstrung"

Grindelwald said "you have been to durmstrung?"
Newt said "yes briefly after I was expelled,I was visiting a family friend"
Grindelwald said "what did you think of it?"
Newt said "it was lovely,a bit darker decor then Hogwarts, I loved the policy on dark arts and other classes and the fact they had a weapons defense class, I was a little jealous"
Grindelwald said " it was nice there,I loved the classes not so much a few of the more restrictive teachers"
Newt said "so what are you doing this afternoon?"
Grindelwald said "well this afternoon is scheduled for showing you around and introducing you to a few followers that live here or visit frequently"
Newt said "I think I can handle that"
Grindelwald said "good the introductions will be in about thirty minutes,and I have shown you every thing besides the dungeon, which I don't think you will like as a healer and soft spirit"
Newt said" before I forget to tell you next week I'll need to release a few animals and gather some potion ingredients while I am in the forest,so I might be late Friday or skip it if it takes them a while to adjust to the forest"
Grindelwald said "that is fine,thank you for remembering to tell me"

Grindelwald introduces newt to Vinda his second in command,Abernathy who has always been a loyal follower and is head of the guard's and Jack who is in charge of intelligence gathering and a few others

Newt said "well he will feel bad when he realizes I sent a bird with a explanation why I couldn't go seeing as at the time I was being questioned by aurors, and I did send a gift it was late because the aurors got a report I was snuggling elephant mice in the mail,wonder why it took a week for the howler to arrive"
Vinda said "who is Elliot and why is he looking for you?"
Newt said" he was a old friend until he betrayed me, told some smugglers I was going to strike the day before I planned to,so they came up with a trap luckily I brought a occamy with me or I would probably be dead"

Newt said "don't know don't really care, now that I know I'll just keep dodging him"
Vinda said "he could want to tell you something important as a peace offering"

Abernathy said "maybe he is in with a member of the alliance and knows you are dating Grindelwald"
Newt laughed and said," yeah right he is way more likely to tell my brother in hopes Theseus kills me over it then that"
Grindelwald said "I doubt your brother would kill you"
Newt said "he has already tried on a few occasions if I'm breaking a law he doesn't care if it's a minor offense he tends to over react"
Vinda said "you must have a odd relationship with him if he tries to kill you but expects you at party's"
Newt said "yeah it's a hit and miss we love each other but sometimes he feels to be a good auror he can't let me get away, so over compensates in hopes his bosses won't be mad at him he has a criminal little brother"
Grindelwald said "that is way more messed up then that sounds"
Vinda said "I hope you aren't that crazy bipolar"
Newt said "nope unless your torturing a animal in front of me or threaten the ones in my care I don't tend to be violent, I'm more reserved but when I snap I snap"

Newt said "yes he can be a little of all that but I think he is mischievous and sweet"
Jack said "aww he's got it bad for the boss"
Abernathy said "you are right they both have it bad for each other"
Vinda said "stop gossiping about the boss before you chase his little angel away"

Grindelwald said "aww he's cute when frustrated, vinda don't pick on him to much or he might just add your nickname to every sentence"
Grindelwald follows newt and said "she didn't mean to upset you liebling"
Newt said "I'm not used to playful teasing so it will take me some getting used to, I think I should probably leave for a while"
Grindelwald said "stay for dinner then we can go back to your place"
Newt said "deal although don't blame me if I send a stinging hex at someone who annoys me"

A few hours later newt is asleep in Grindelwald arms and Grindelwald is awake plotting how to win newt all the way over maybe rescue some animals or take down a few poachers will work is what he was thinking as he fell asleep

Newt said "it's my brother you can head to your office I'll deal with him"
Grindelwald said "I will go only because if he found me it would make things worse for you, let me know when he leaves liebling"
Newt kissed his cheek and said" I will don't worry"

Newt went and opened his door
Theseus said "why didn't you answer the door immediately"
Newt said "I was actually asleep it took me a minute to get my shoes on"
Theseus said "well perhaps you should wake up earlier"
Newt said" it's five in the morning, I didn't get to sleep till eleven so what do you want"
Theseus said "I brought Elliot to talk to you since you won't open the door for him"
Newt said" I have been busy and I got your howler yesterday if you haven't sent a apology I recommend you leave I sent you a explanation and Leta's birthday gift"
Theseus said "you should have gotten the howler days ago?"
Newt said "well I didn't"
Theseus said "leta loved the gift and I am sorry for the howler the letter and gift arrived right after I sent it, you should be getting a apology letter soon"
Newt said "and I don't want to see Elliot he betrayed me"

Elliot said "well I was bit by a strange bug recently and hoped you had a cure for the venom"

Newt said "so let's get this straight you came to me for a cure to a unknown venom after you tried to have me killed?"
Elliot "well I thought they would just capture and sell you not kill you"
Newt said " that actually worse then I thought it was, no I will not help you"
Elliot said "I'll flip on a creature trafficking ring if you cure me,I'll even make a unbreakable vow"
Newt said" how do I trust you that it is not a trap set for me"
Elliot said "you dont, you go in for the creatures"
Newt said "I'll need to see if a friend will be willing to bind you to the vow"

Newt sent a message to Grindelwald and told him what happened and asked if he knew anyone who would be a binder
Newt waited for a response and started looking at the bite and extracted some venom from it before starting on a breakdown so he could make a antivenom
Newt heard a nock on the door and saw Abernathy standing there
Abernathy said "boss sent me as a binder and a enforcer/guard if he sends you into a trap or something"
Newt said "you didn't have to I know he keeps you busy"
Abernathy said "bosses orders so not a problem angel"
Newt "that is not funny you nat"
Abernathy said "hasn't even been a few minutes into my guard detail and your calling me a Nat you must know me well"
Newt said "no but I know Grindelwald soo figured you would be annoying as well"
Abernathy laughed "let's go bind him so you can heal him and see what kind of shit show he sends us to,jack ain't happy we are going in without intelligence from a intelligent person"
Newt said "I'll have to remember that insult, I plan on making Elliot go in first even if I have to use less than savory methods to get him to, just warning you"
Abernathy said" I see what he meant by vengeful angel now"
Newt went and finished the potion after Abernathy bound Elliot to his word and I got Elliot to add in he would walk into the building first if he wanted a second dose to insure it worked
A few hours later newt has fifty animals in his briefcase and a few wounds from fighting the traffickers, Abernathy is in the briefcase he was nocked out early in the fighting, Elliot betrayed me again he died this time a stray spell hit him oops
I headed home sent vinda a letter saying I would not be making it there today and I would be working in the briefcase all night, please inform Grindelwald
Ps Abernathy is healing and will be back in the morning
Newt went to work healing Abernathy a bit more before deciding that he would be fine and waking within an hour
Newt went to work on setting up habitat's and healing his new fifty residents before he took a few potions for his injury's, shortly after that Abernathy woke up ready to fight
Newt said "calm down we are in my briefcase in my warded basement you are safe"
Abernathy said "what happened last thing I remember is us getting our asses kicked by them,that jackass weasel didn't mention hundred plus guards"
Newt said "that is normal believe it or not and that was a small ring not even a medium or large who have even more guard's"
Abernathy said "so you knew we would be that outnumbered?"
Newt said "yes to outnumbered, I'm used to going in solo I did mention stealth was of the highest importance in my work and to retreat if you didn't like your odds"
Abernathy said "I didn't want boss to kill me for leaving you behind,why did you not retreat?"
Newt said "they were casting to hurt not kill,I can handle pain and somebody got knocked out I had to rescue"
Abernathy said "in the future leave me behind"
Newt said "not my style, I took a majority of them out before letting a nundu finish them off as I treated your head injury and got everyone in the briefcase, then I used fiendfire to burn the evidence"
Abernathy said "damn I didn't think you had it in you"
Newt said "one I don't leave people behind, two they were starving and abusing the animals, three if I kill I try to not leave evidence and fiendfire guarantees that they won't find a trace, four I told vinda you were healing and would be back by the morning ,five I also had her tell Grindelwald that I wasn't making it over today and working through the night without waiting for her response so I think I might be a chicken"
Abernathy said "wise choice on everything besides hiding from vinda, also boss is going to want to check on you to see what happened therefore you should have just told vinda everything and had her do it, if she was going to be mad at you anyway"
Newt said "damn I'm upset I didn't think of that,oh well I guess I'll do it probably should just show a memory, be quicker and answer any questions that way"
Abernathy said "boss is going to be irritated at us both over that,had you ever mentioned how dangerous what you do is?"
Newt said "I thought it was common knowledge that they run in tight well guarded operations that are a pain to deal with,no it never came up because I thought it would be common knowledge"
Abernathy said "it is not common knowledge and trust me if it was aurors would want you to join them, do you know how lucky you are or if it isn't luck skilled"
Newt said "I'm below average in just about anything not care of magical creatures, potions and runes"
Abernathy said "I think someone misjudged you,when you show boss can I see as well, I want to know what happens after I went down"
Newt said "so long as Grindelwald doesn't mind"
A few hours later newt and Abernathy went to the castle because Abernathy said it would be best to get it over with Incase vinda, Grindelwald were upset or worried

Vinda opened the door and said "what we are a little busy?" before seeing it was newt and Abernathy
Abernathy said "well then we can report later or just go tell Jack"
Vinda said "we were working on a way to break the wards on newt's basement to check on you both"

Vinda said "because we are not keyed in"
Newt said "well I guess you didn't try the door then"
Vinda said "what do you mean by that"
Newt said" I keyed Grindelwald,jack,you vinda and Abernathy in yesterday morning"
Grindelwald said "so we could have just walked in?"
Newt said "yes i forgot to mention it sorry"
Grindelwald said "next time you send a message before going quite please add more details"
Newt said "well I still needed to heal Abernathy a bit more and the creatures we rescued"
Abernathy said "yes and he healed himself last" glaring at newt
Newt said "it was a few scratches and a shocking curse nothing to bad"
Grindelwald said "so what happened?"
Abernathy said "I don't know I got knocked out fairly quickly to be honest"
Newt said "he did if you don't mind using your pensive we can all see it again"
Grindelwald said "I think that would be for the best angel"
Abernathy said "I will warn you we were way outnumbered and newt's used to it,me not so much sorry boss"
Grindelwald said "I'm sure you did your best or you would be hiding from me now"

I tell Abernathy the main thing is to be discreet as possible if we get caught if you don't like your odds leave I'll be behind you shortly I'll grab all that I can and go

Newt "said that's all and good but listen to me,I hate doing rescue missions"

We creep in slowly I got five into the briefcase before one of the guard's noticed and hit the alarm
About a hundred guards rushed in casting triping hexes jelly leg hexes and other non kill spells at us, they intended to capture us and interrogate us before killing
Abernathy rushed in to five and took four down before the fifth got a lucky shot in with his fist knocking Abernathy out
I took that guard down with a overpowered severing charm to the neck so he was fully decapitated, I cast a quick stop bleed on the wound and a stabilizer spell as well before moving to deal with the other hundredish guards a few more had appeared at some point
I take out about seventy or so with a few well placed charms and hexes maybe a few dark spells oops, before freeing a nundu to take the rest out she is relatively healthy and aggressive but seems to trust me so I opened her cage, I go cage to cage freeing them all and dodging spells and getting the Ill or weak ones in the briefcase before tossing Abernathy in there as well, I look back and see Elliot casting a killing curse at me and I rolled out of the way before grabbing the case and running, I peak around the corner of the crate I am hidding behind and see him get hit with a severing charm and die,the nundu killed the last guard and dragged him out of the building with her before I ran out and cast a fiendfire and kept complete control over it as it burnt
I had no problem relinquishing the flames when it's job was done,nothing was left except for ash which I vanished before apperating home, I go to the basement and send vinda a letter before jumping into the case and healing Abernathy and setting up the animal habitat's and healing them before taking a few potions for my wounds
