Chapter 47

Chapter 47:

Hermione stormed into her rooms inflamed with the indigitation of her interaction with Malfoy. He was so infuriating, frustrating, humiliating her like that. She had no idea how he’d figured it out, did she really look that obvious walking back?

She was already grappling with the consequence of what she’d done and what it meant to what she wanted and here Malfoy was throwing it in her face for sport. Her thoughts were interrupted by Matthew’s owl delivering a short message asking when he could see her again, outside the regular class of course.

Hermione’s deep sigh hung in the air and she decided she needed to go work some more to get her mind off this, she’d spent all in the lab tonight, only getting a few minutes to rest.

When the next morning came Hermione’s tired eyes reflected back to her every feeling that’s been bottled up these past years.

Matthew was a sweet guy, she should have no qualms about being with him, if just for a bit, but her mind and heart were in conflict on what to do, she wrote back Matthew a quick note to have lunch the following weekend and left it at that.
