Summary
Hermione can’t stand Draco, all Draco wants to do is make it up her.Years after the war, Hermione likes to pretend that everything is fine accepting a teaching post at Hogwarts. Draco is finally back in England and is starting to find a life again when he jokingly applied to a DADA position at Hogwarts he never thought he’d get the job, but now he’s at Hogwarts where Hermione is also teaching and he’s learning how to finish making amends for all the wrongs he’s done in the past.It turns out, freedom is a cage and the past can never really leave you.

Chapter 48

Chapter 48:

Draco knew things for certainty:

1. His anger issues actually haven’t been resolved
2. Despite his best effort and gifting and offerings, he was still absolutely an asshole to Granger
And reluctantly he admitted after the night he had was
3. He undeniably had a thing for Granger, more than just a little thing if he was honest. Why else would he react so strongly? He had mulled the thought over and over again and he japed and stabbed and crushed and punched all night in the room of requirement. His anger was stemming from this “thing” he had for her.
Even in his fury, he kept thinking about how close they were together before she stormed out, how beautifully she smelled or how her lips quivered in the slightest in her anger. He found that her absolute hate for him didn’t dissuade that little voice inside him that urged as they stood close, to just touch her lips.

He considered if this was a result of his recent dry spell, but the more he fought with the room, the more he fought with himself, the more it was clear. The great Draco Malfoy it seems has harbored a nasty “thing” for Granger for quite a bit of time.

He wondered when it all began.
