Chapter 23

Chapter 23:

How dare he follow her, how dare he suggest it was his fault he nearly killed her? How.Dare.He. The three words were a mantra in Hermione’s brain as he sat in the peaceful room trying to enjoy her lunch and book today, but she couldn’t focus. She couldn’t focus because he enraged her with his suggestions, but she was so unprepared for how it made her feel for a now much taller Draco to literally look down on her. His stupid incepted bratty ass, he had the nerve to still look down his nose at her. Maybe she gave him too much leeway, too much benefit of the doubt, maybe he didn’t change on bit from who he was raised to be by his vile father and horrendous aunt.

Hermione’s thoughts raged and raged and yet she couldn’t fully block the electric feeling in her body that had nothing to do with the rage of her emotions towards the interaction. Malfoy was a piece of shit in the most attractive packaging, it wasn’t right. He had no right to look how he looked and act how he acted.

The rest of her day was spent in a semi-state or rage and the moment the sun set, Hermione grabbed her broom in Gryffindor defiance and took the night skies flying wide and fast and daring Malfoy to infringe on her truest form of freedom, the chill of the wind eventually won out and she flew back into her rooms, no Malfoy in sight and a good thing at that, she was ready to hex his pretty little blonde head off.
