I Knew You Were Trouble (Taylor’s Version)

Note
I want to tell yall that I am not a hockey professional something so like I prob will have so many weird ass things but this is a fanFICTION so it’s fiction🤗🤗. I know that there has to be like 18 players and 2 goaltenders in a team but that would mess up the whole thing so we’re just going this way. Btw as yall can see English ain’t my first language so it’s gonna be like really weird but I’m trying my best! (No Taylor swift songs haters here)

Blank Space

Lily was nervous. In a few minutes, she was going to go to that ice rink and play one of her most important games. “Let’s do this, girls!” said Alice as she started walking to the team, followed by the rest of the team.

Lily felt all the eyes on her as she took her position as a center. And the game had started. Fast Skaters had made 10 shots already by the first period, scoring 1. They were winning by the second period over 3-1. By the last, third period, Fast Skaters had won the game.

“Let’s go!” Bellatrix screamed in the changing room, with happiness by scoring 6-4 to Ohio State. “Let’s just hope The Marauders won’t score any higher.” Lily murmured as she started taking off her hockey jersey.

-

“Six scores?! Shit, dude, that's risky,” blurted Peter, who later got shushed by Frank when Fast Skaters got into their view. That would boost Fast Skater’s ego, and no one wanted that.

“Good luck, guys, you’ll need it!” Marlene dared, staring into Evan’s soul and making a sarcastic heart with her hands. Basically making fun of them. “If you need a shoulder to cry on after your game, I’m here for you guys!” She barked with lots of energy as she followed the rest of her team, and The Marauders rolled their eyes.

Everyone knew the girls would win this bet, except Evan Rosier, who still refused to believe they had already lost.

-

“And The Marauders won another game!” Rodolphus Lestrange bubbled once again after The Marauders’ game. Rodolphus was a proud coach, but he couldn’t really spend time with his team. He apparently had some issues with his brother and couldn’t really spend his free time with his team.

James sighed as he looked at Rodolphus with tired eyes. “But I lost a girl,” he whispered as he started walking to his locker. The rest of the team looked at him with sorrowful eyes as Rodolphus was really confused.

-

Lily looked at Marlene’s big eyes, looking like they were going to explode, with confusion. The redhead had refused to watch the game in fear of losing the bet. The rest of the team had, of course, watched it, but Lily was really sure she couldn’t read their minds, nor their facial expressions right now.

“So? Did we win the bet?” She begged simply. She was not planning to hear the answer with words, and she was right. Marlene shook her head swiftly, interrupted by Lily’s laughter of happiness. “I know! It’s amazing!” Marlene said as she started laughing too. Lily could never forget about this bet, never. “They legit lost by one score: One!” She explained, showing the number with her fingers in excitement.

Their happiness session was over when Emma interrupted them. “Let’s go to the hall and give them a hug, and a shoulder to cry on!” She said as she left the room and ran down the stairs, followed by the other girls.

“Well, well, well, look who’s here,” Lily and Marlene said the same words at the same time. Okay, maybe Lily could in fact read Marlene’s mind. “You lost, we won! You lost, we won!” They sang in a melodic beat.

“Yes, you won, we lost. You can arrest me, Ms. Evans,” James groaned, still with a small smile; he extended his hands to Lily, waiting for her to arrest him. Lily laughed it off while the rest of both teams started walking to the bar, again! Both games were over, they had some time to spend time in the hotel.

“I want to talk to you in private later, Potter.” Lily winked at him with a smile as she followed Marlene, who was waiting a bit far away from them.

-

Both teams were in the bar, drinking again. Lily thought everyone had forgotten what would happen if she won the bet, or she thought they did. “So what are you going to do, Lils?” Remus insisted.

“I haven’t really thought about it yet, but I’ll be back,” she replied with a grin, aware of the fact that she would have to be awake the whole night.

Lily looked at Alice, who was talking to Frank. She wondered what had happened between them. They did not look romantically into each other, but they also did not look like friends. Lily made sure to talk to Alice about it.

“Where’s Potter?” Lily asked Remus -who was talking to Peter- as he wondered that too. “I don’t know. But you could look at his room,” he said and continued to talk to Peter.

-

Lily knocked on James’ door, hoping he’s in there. It didn’t take long for the curly-haired boy to open the door. “Hello?” He looked really confused as he saw the big green warm eyes looking at him.

“Hey Potter! I thought about something and I wanted to talk about it,” she stuttered, wondering if he forgot their short conversation. “Oh yeah! Sorry I forgot about that…” he said as he scratched his neck and let her come into his room.

Lily sat on the corner of one of the beds as she started talking, “so I accept your offer, you can take me on a date.” She said with a smirk as James was probably having a moment right now.

“Are you. Are you serious?” He looked shocked but the happiest man alive at the same time. “Yes, I looked through my schedule, I got a blank space and I’ll write your name! As long as you are not annoying.” She ruled, playing with her red hair.

“Yes of course, you can even decide exactly how I act on the whole date.” He looked really serious saying this and that made Lily laugh. “No need for that James.” Her smile was huge while James’ skin was red. “She said my first name, she said my first name.” He whispered for himself as Lily started leaving.
