Yule Reunion

The year progressed with Harri learning how to produce a patronus. Sometimes, she would summon her back to sit with her. She knew that it was connected to her dad's animagous form. She also continued her lessons with Slytherin.

Soon Yule break came, Harri and her boys were going home. Harri clutched the book she had gotten from Salazar's library close to her chest. Augusta had agreed to let her try the spell on Alice and Frank.

They got to the hospital early in the morning after they had opened presents. Harri held one of Neville's hand as they entered the long-term ward. Augusta greeted her son and daughter-in-law softly. Neville hugged them gently. He looked slightly broken, and it hurt Harri's heart. She stepped up and introduced herself softly.

She opened the book to the page that Salazar had recommended. She pulled out her wand and pointed at Frank first. She hissed the spell softly. She knew it roughly translated to break the bonds of pain.

They watched with bated breath as Frank blinked, and some of the fogginess left his eyes. He groaned softly and held his head. Harri didn't wait anymore before performing the spell on Alice. She stepped back to let the family have their moment.

Harri wondered how many spells and cures were lost to Britain because they got rid of their parseltongues. She looked around the room and wondered how many of them would be cured if they hadn't.

"It feels like I got trampled by a thestral," a deep male voice said. Her head snapped back to Frank as he was gathering himself. He jumped up suddenly and looked for his wand.

"Dad, you're safe. You're in the hospital," Neville said, placing a calming hand on his shoulder. He gently pushed his dad to sit back on the bed.

"Neville?" Frank asked in a small voice. He quickly pulled his son into his arms and held him tightly. "You've gotten so big. How long have we been out of it?"

"About 12 years," Augusta said in tears. She hugged her son tightly. She said, "we're just happy to have you back."

"Alice?" Frank asked desperately.

"I'm here, my love," Alice said quietly. Harri looked over at her and realized she was staring at her. Harri looked at her feet, trying harder to blend into the background.

Harri heard Neville reunite with his mom. She was so happy that she had been able to help him get them back. She flinched softly when she felt a hand on her check. She looked up at Alice, who was smiling softly at her.

"It's nice to see you again, Bambi," Alice said softly. She pulled the girl into a hug. "You look like your mom."

"Everyone says I look like my dad," she said softly. Harri was confused about why she was being added to the reunion. She was led back to their group by Alice.

"There is definitely James in you, but that nose and your ears are Lily's," Frank said with a chuckle. "How did you find her mom?"

"Gringotts summoned me during the summer, and we brought her home," Augusta said with a smile. "Harri had found the spell that had helped bring you both back to us."

"She's bloody brilliant," Neville said with a big smile. Harri blushed and looked down at her lap.

"It was Salazar that had the book," Harri mumbled softly. She wasn't used to being praised for her accomplishments.

"But you casted the spell. You did what none of these healers could. Your mother would be so proud of you," Alice said, squeezing her shoulder gently.

Harri smiled softly. She let Neville start telling his parents about anything and everything. She studied his face and liked the look of pure joy on his face. He was quite handsome.

"What about you, Harri?" Frank asked, pulling her from her thoughts.

"What about me?" She asked softly. "I don't want to intrude on your reunion."

"You are our goddaughter, which makes you family. You are a part of this reunion too," Alice said gently.

"How has your schooling been?" Frank asked with a kind smile.

"It's been okay, I guess," Harri said softly. "I mean, outside of the end of year quests, it seems I always seem to do. It was a struggle to adjust to the wixen world and their class styles. Why do we use quils? They're extremely outdated. I brought a pen this year, and it has saved so many essays."

"What do you mean end of year quests?" Alice asked. She and Frank exchanged worried looks. Harri sighed and started to explain her first two years at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy.
