The First Quidditch Game
The first Quidditch game of the year was between Hufflepuff and Gryffindor. Harri walked out onto the field between Fred and George like she usually did. She was nervous about this game. She wanted it to be perfect for Oliver's last year.
They were in the air soon enough, and Harri circled the field. She smiled when she saw Augusta and Narcissa in the stands. She had never had anyone cheer for her. She had always wondered what it would have been like to have her parents be there to cheer for her, but she was getting a small taste of that now.
She flew around the pitch, scanning the field for the snitch. She saw a black dog sitting on the hill watching the game. She wondered who he belonged to briefly before catching a glimpse of the snitch. She went up after it with Cedric Diggery right behind her.
She started to feel cold suddenly. She realized too late that the Dementors had started to swarm her. She lost concessions and let go of her broom. The last thing she heard was her mother's begging.
She opened her eyes and she was in a room that she had never seen before. She stood and walked to a room that had a light shining. She heard shouting.
"I did my waiting twelve years of it in Azkaban! Let's just kill him, Remus," she realized with a shiver that Sirius Black was speaking. Then she realized he had referenced a man. He couldn't be talking about her. She wasn't his target.
"What would you have done? They were going to kill me and Sybil!" A shaking voice said. It felt so familiar to her, but she couldn't place it.
"I would have died! I would have died rather than betrayed my friends," Sirius shouted. The world around her faded into darkness. She heard voices over her and felt the warmth of being held.
She smiled softly when she realized that it was Neville holding her. She loved the earthy scent of his cologne. She started to focus slowly on other things. She heard Draco yelling angerly and Narcissa trying to calm him in vain.
"She almost died, Minister! If her team hadn't rushed to catch her, she would have hit the ground from 15 feet or more! You need to get those horrible things off the campus!" Draco shouted. She wanted to reach for him, but she felt so drained.
"We should press charges," Neville said in a cold voice. "They almost kissed her. She is the last heir to more than a few houses, and they would have died with her."
"The boys are quite right, Cornelius. It is quite disappointing that you do not seem to care. I want to know what will be done about this. Sirius Black is still out there, and the children need protection, but the Dementors are obviously going to keep targeting her, so what will be done?" Augusta asked her anger, barely noticeable in her voice, but her words felt heavy.
"Well, I... I'm sure that we could have a rotation of Aurors on Hogwarts grounds, and the Dementors will be sent back to Azkaban. I couldn't be more sorry about this. How can I make this better?" Cornelius asked, ringing his hands nervously. He looked as if he was going to faint.
"Get Sirius a trail," Harri muttered quietly. "I had a vision."
"A vision, my girl?" Dumbledore asked, intrigued. He finally had a way to get his pawn back under a little control. He could hint that it was due to her connections to Tom.
"I'm sorry?" The Minister asked in confusion.
"Lily Potter-Black was a seer, and her daughter had inherented the gift. You can make this right by doing a thorough investigation and trail for Sirius Black to give Harri closure," Narcissa said with a firm nod. She watched as her son cuddled with Neville and Harri. She had seen this film before. She hoped the ending was better this time around.
Augusta finished dealing with the minister before turning on Dumbledore. She was ready for this man to take his exit, but he didn't seem to get the hint. She took a deep breath as he tried desperately to get Harri to tell him about her vision.
"That's enough, Albus! She has been through something traumatic and needs her rest. It is also none of your business on what my ward had seen. The last time you were given a vision, the Potter's ended up dead, and my son and daughter-in-law ended up insane. Leave now and never bother my ward again," she said firmly. Her anger was more clear this time around. She was not going to let this man anywhere near her family again.
"I mean no harm, Augusta," Dumbledore said, trying to calm the woman he had taught transfiguration to. He didn't understand how she couldn't see that it had been for the Greater Good.
"Get out, Albus. You are not wanted," Augusta almost growled as Remus limped in leaning heavily on his cane. The full moon had been the night before, and he was so sore.
"Is she okay?" Remus asked quickly. He looked over at his cub, who came and had tea with him every Sunday. His cub who was one of the last members of his pack. He almost couldn't handle it. His wolf was going insane.
"I'm okay, Uncle Moony," Harri mumbled with her eyes closed again. She felt his hand pet her hair gently, and she yawned softly.
"She's always exhausted when Dementors come near her," Neville explained softly.
"I'm going to need to teach her the expecto patronum spell. It'll cut into our tea time, but I want her safe," Remus said softly. He looked over at Narcissa and Augusta and asked, "What's the plan moving forward? Are they taking the Dementors off property?"
The adults started to go over what was going to happen softly. Harri yawned and muttered something about Neville being a good pillow before passing out. She knew there was a lot more to come.
