Inky grinned as he walked down the halls. He knew that the Cloak was important for something, but to be honest, he was having more fun pranking Ron with the fake spiders. The Gryffindors really needed to keep better care of their password list. As he walked, he noticed an open door in a spot he hadn't seen before. "That's... kinda weird." He said to himself softly, before his curiosity took over. He walked in, noticing the archway on the other side of the room. It was glowing slightly. "Cool!" He walked towards the archway fearlessly, examining it. It looked extremely old, made of crumbling stone that was almost black in color. The glow was a soft green that was pulsing steadily, almost like a heartbeat. Inky stepped closer to examine it... and tripped over his feet, falling in face first.
He crashed into something, and whatever he crashed into, squeaked. "OH MY GOSH, I'M SO SORRY! Are you ok?" He asked, getting off of whoever he crashed into. It was a tiny Reaper, but it didn't look like his Reaper, mainly because the Reaper was shorter, and the wings that he would see were fluffy. A part of the hood had fallen over the Reaper's face and they pulled it back to reveal a soft looking skull. Inky grinned happily and stuck out his hand. "Hi, I'm Inky! It's nice to meet you!" "I'm Reaper." The Skeleton said, their voice was soft and it was nothing like his Reaper's voice. "Are you sure that it's okay for me to hold your hand?" Inky nodded. "I'm immortal, so it wouldn't do anything. Something I got from my Papa!" "Okay." The Reaper shook his hand.
Inky's smile got wider somehow, before he looked around. "What is this place, anyways?" "I don't know, I was trying to get away from someone, and I ended up here." she replied. He frowned and crossed his arms. "Who were you trying to get away from? It has to be a real jerk to chase you." "Life." Inky's jaw dropped. LIFE was the one chasing this adorable Reaper? But... wait a second...
"Um, quick question..." he said hesitantly. "But is there an Ink here too? An... adult one?" "Yes, why?" Reaper tilted their head to the side. Inky facepalmed. "I'm from another Multiverse is why." he said, slightly muffled. "In my Multiverse, Life is super nice..." "There is more than one Multiverse?!" Reaper excitedly asked. "And your Life is super nice?" "Yeah... I learned that from my Papa. And my Life is beyond super nice! My Reaper uses her as a babysitter.... I wonder if I could bring you back with me..." Inky asked aloud, seeing the portal he had crashed through. "Bring me back where?" Reaper asked. "Back to my Multiverse, at least for a little while. So you could get a break from your Life! Or I could bring my Papa here! He'd straighten Life out!"
"That sounds like it will be fun!" Reaper had stars in their eyesockets. "Well, we only have one way to find out!" Inky exclaimed, grabbing Reaper's hand. He tugged her to the portal. Reaper giggled and she followed Inky. Going through the portal, the two fell through the other side... in front of a very disapproving Error. In his hands was the Marauders Map. "Uh oh..."
Reaper looked up at Error, blinking. She was now a human girl, with extremely long black hair that was loose, it wasn't tied back, and the ends of it almost touched the floor. She was wearing a loose dark coloured dress with floaty sleeves and no shoes. She wasn't even wearing socks and her skin was a pale white, but her eyes were a bright blue and she was really thin. Reaper still had her wings, but they were scaled up so that they would fit her human body, and they were still fluffy. "Inky..." Error said warningly. "H-hi Papa..." Inky said nervously. He was in trouble, wasn't he? He quickly latched onto Reaper. "I made a new friend Papa, see?" Error looked at the girl and raised a brow. "And you are?" Reaper quickly hugged Inky. She was scared. "R-Reaper..."
Error blinked, before looking closer. He sighed as he realized what was going on. Reaper tilted her head to the side. "You got her from a different Multiverse, didn't you kiddo?" he asked. Inky nodded proudly. "Yup! Her Life is a real jerk too! She was chasing her because... because... hey, why was Life chasing you?" He asked Reaper. "Life seems to think that I should be lazy and drink Coffee." Reaper said. "And she keeps on talking about Puns and relationships...." Error groaned. "Oh boy, one of those Life's..." Reaper was confused. "Life isn't supposed to be like this?"
Error shook his head quickly. "Stars no! But every once in a while, there's one that's... not all right in the head... Rune normally calls them Yanderes." "Life is sick?" Reaper asked. "And what is a Yandere?" "Sorta, it depends. Sometimes it's just some kind of... obsession. As for your other question, I have no idea. You'd have to ask Rune." "Okay." Reaper smiled at Error. "I don't know where your Life falls on the spectrum. Is she delusional, obsessive, controlling? I'd have to see her myself to know for sure." Error said. Inky tugged on Error's jacket. When Error leaned down, Inky whispered in his ear. "Can she stay for a while, at least until she absolutely has to go back? I think she needs a break..." he told his father.
"Well, she was thrown out because she tried to take the throne from Asgore, and she doesn't like Papy or Gaster a lot, and she seems to think that I am a guy.." Reaper mumbled. Error facepalmed. "I think I can get away with calling her delusional then. Do you want to stay for a while?" Error asked the small Reaper. "So, I can call her a delusional idiot and get away with it?" Reaper asked, before she thought about Error's question and she smiled. "I would love to stay for a bit!" Inky grinned and nodded. "Yup!" Then Reaper's response hit him. "YAY!" Error smiled and he pulled out his wand, transfiguring some shoes for her. "Stone is cold, you'll want these." he told her. Reaper happily put the shoes on. "Thank you Mr. Error!" "Not a problem, kiddo. Come on, I'll take you to meet Rune." he said, smiling at Reaper. He noticed the wings and smirked, looking over at Inky. "So, did you show her your trick yet, buddy?"
Inky cocked his head in confusion. What trick? Reaper moved one of her wings so that it was hugging Inky. Error's smirk grew wider and he chuckled. "You know... the trick you used to scare Dream when he popped in..." Inky thought for a few seconds, before his eyes widened. "Oh, that trick! Hey, you told me not to do it again!" "What trick?" Reaper asked. Inky looked up at his father, who looked around and nodded. Orange flames suddenly burst out of Inky's back, forming beautiful wings. They were mostly red, with some blue and green feathers mixed in randomly. "He can turn into a Phoenix. Then he learned how to make just the wings appear..." Error said with a grin.
Reaper giggled and she clapped her hands. "You can turn into a Phoenix?!" She asked. "That is so cool!!" Inky nodded happily, dismissing the wings. "Papa can turn into a dragon!" Error had a suspiciously smug smirk on his face. Reaper was so happy that she had stars in her eyes. Inky giggled at Reaper. "Hey, maybe you'll be able to meet my Reaper! I think he'll like you." "Yeah! That should be so much fun!" Reaper giggled. Inky giggled at Reaper's reaction. "It's really cool! He also turns into a spider. A big one! He used it to scare this jerk." Error's smirk grew wider.
"Really?" Reaper asked. "What does this jerk look like?" "He's a tall redhead guy. He's super thin somehow, which is weird, cause he eats a lot." Inky said, scowling a little. He looked up at his father, then leaned over to whisper to Reaper, hoping that Error wouldn't hear, "But I prank him as payback. I figured out how to get to his dorm and I put some spells on his stuff. One time, I made his skin green and his skin silver. He had to be dragged out of the dorm." "I heard that."
Reaper silently giggled, especially when Mr. Error told Inky that. Inky just gulped; now he really was in trouble! Then he saw his savior... hopefully, anyways. "Rune! I made a new friend, wanna meet her?" Blue looked over and saw the Reaper with Error. Along with Error's very amused expression. Something told him that Error just found the culprit behind the pranking of Ron Weasley... "Hi." Reaper waved at the new person, she wished that she had a hood to hide behind, but her dress didn't have one.
"Hello there, young one! What's your name?" Blue asked kindly, seeing her shy nature. "Reaper..." she said shyly. Blue smiled and said, "It's very nice to meet you!" Before he could say anything else, Inky interjected. "She's going to be staying with us for a while, Papa said it was ok!" Blue raised a brow at Error, who just nodded, signaling that they would talk later. Inky meanwhile, frowned in frustration. When were they going to get together already?! "What's wrong?" Reaper asked Inky.
Inky whispered to her as the adults walked into their rooms. "Papa and Blue aren't dating or anything, but I really want them to. They're perfect for each other, but they're both so stubborn!" Reaper tilted her head to the side. "I can see that they could be good together, but I don't see the point in romantic relationships..." Reaper frowned. "I mean, I can't really think about myself being in a romantic relationship with anyone, I'm just not interested..." Inky nodded. "That's cool. I know a few people like that. I just... want Papa to be happy. And he is around Blue.... although, now that I think about it, he is really happy around Mr. Nightmare too..." "Triads are accepted from where I am from." Reaper told him.
Inky froze. "Wait... so Papa could be with both Blue AND Mr. Nightmare?" "Yeah, he could be." Inky started to vibrate with happiness at the thought of having 3 parents. Error and Blue walked back in to this scene. Reaper waved at Blue and Error. Error stared at his vibrating child. "Um... you didn't by any chance give him Skittles, did you?" "No.." Reaper shook her head, but the word, 'Skittles', why did that word cause her head to hurt? And why did she want whatever these "Skittles' were? " I just told him that triads are accepted where I am from." Inky covered her mouth before she could say more. Reaper giggled, before she licked Inky's hand.
Blue, who knew what Inky was trying to do, blushed brightly while thinking of who the possible third member could be. Error, who had no clue, just cocked a brow at his son, who was now wiping his hand on his robes in disgust. Reaper was giggling. Error looked over at Blue, who was tomato red as the connection hit. "Uh Blue, are you ok?" "WHOMEOHI'MFINEGOTTAGO!" Blue said super fast, and ran before Error could even begin to figure out what he said. Inky stared and turned to Reaper. "What happened to him?" "I think that he had a romantic daydream." Reaper giggled. "And he didn't want to share it." Reaper looked around. "So, where am I? And what is this place?"
Inky giggled and cleared his throat. In a very official sounding voice, he said, "Welcome to the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry!" "This is a Mage school?!" Reaper asked. Blue and Inky giggled at Reaper's reaction. "Yep." Inky said with a grin. "Gaster would love this place." Reaper whispered. Error smirked, hearing that. "So, you hungry kid?" he asked her. Reaper's stomach growled. Blue giggled again. "I think that answers that question!" He chirped brightly. "We can take our meal up here, in our rooms if you want. There's a lot of people downstairs during dinnertime."
"Okay!" Reaper smiled at Blue. Inky grinned and ran over to the table that was set up in the main room. "Time to eat!" He said happily. "And after we're done, we can discuss punishments for your pranks." Error said in the same tone, making Inky droop. Reaper giggled as she followed Inky. Blue set up the table, giggling at Inky pouting at his father. He knew Error wasn't going to do much, but Inky didn't. "Anything specific you want to eat, or are sandwiches ok?" "Sandwiches would be fine Mr. Error." Reaper said, before she froze. "What is it, kid?" Error asked, concerned.
"Why can I sense a fucking Soul Shard?" Reaper growled. Inky leaned away. "Soul what now?" He asked, slightly freaked out by Reaper's change in behavior. "A Soul Shard, Souls are not meant to be split into pieces." Reaper looked at Inky. "And I didn't notice it before, but you seem to have some sort of marking on you that feels like it, as if a piece of that Soul was in you, but it was removed..." Inky started to freak out at that. "WHAT! I HAD ONE OF THOSE IN ME?!" "Yes, but it's gone now."
Inky calmed down and asked, "So, you sense another one?" "Yeah, I can." Reaper growled. Inky thought for a second. "So, you feel it in the castle... can you feel if it's like, really close by or something?" "Yeah, it's in the castle." she said. "No no no, I meant... is it in this room, or..." "No, it's somewhere else...." Blue hummed as he set down a tray of sandwiches. "How about we eat something and go look later, when everyone is asleep? So we don't get interrupted."
"Okay!" Reaper smiled, before she took a sandwich and she started to eat it. Error just grabbed an apple and sat down to grade some essays, causing Blue to frown at him. Inky grabbed a sandwich and ate happily, though he looked at his father with worry. Reaper looked at Error with a look of worry on her face. "Isn't he going to eat more?" Error looked up to see the group staring at him. "Oh for the love of-" he grabbed a sandwich and started eating it grumpily. "Happy?" he asked. He didn't know why Blue insisted on him eating, it's not like he had to... Inky grinned and Blue smiled happily. Reaper smiled as well. They went back to eating, with Inky talking to Reaper about his classes. In other words, meaningless chatter for Error to use as background noise as he graded.
A few hours later, Error and Reaper were out in the halls, looking around for the Soul Shard. Reaper had figured out how to float as a human, and she was following Error. She frowned. "We're getting closer." "Well, it's not on this floor... next one up is the seventh floor. If I recall correctly, there's a room up there that becomes anything you need." Error said thoughtfully. "A room that becomes anything that you need..." Reaper frowned. "That is the perfect place to hide something like a Soul Shard." Error nodded. "That's what I was thinking... but I have no idea how to access it, unfortunately. Something about pacing, I think." "Like, you have to walk a few times in front of where the door would be?" Reaper asked. "I think so. I kept meaning to check it out, but I would forget." Error said sheepishly. "How'd you guess that, anyways?" "I don't know." Reaper's voice was distant, and it sounded like it came from somewhere far away. "It's like that I read about it, in a book, a long time ago..."
Error looked over at Reaper. That voice sounded... awfully familiar... It looked as if he had some things to check up on... Reaper shook her head, bringing herself back to reality. "You ok there, kid?" "Yeah, this isn't the first time that something like that happened to me. I'll be fine." she told him. Error raised a brow and looked at her. "If you say so... huh, looks like we're here." He made a mental note to check in with some people though. He had a really bad feeling...
Reaper looked around. "I can feel it, it's really strong here...." Error nodded and started to pace, feeling stupid as he did it. After the third lap, a door appeared. He opened it and looked inside. It was a room full of junk. "Joy..." Reaper looked inside the room too, and she hissed. "Okay, that thing is in this room." Error sighed. "Think you can figure out the general location of it so we know where not to look?" "Yep!" Reaper floated into the room and she started to look around. Error followed her, looking around himself. Some of this stuff looked... pretty cool actually. Hey, he may be as old as the Multiverse, but he could still appreciate this kind of stuff! Reaper stopped over something that looked like a diadem.
Error walked over and used his strings to pick it up, examining it. "Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure." he read aloud. Reaper frowned. "That thing... It's tainted with the Soul Shard.." Error nodded. "What do we do with it then? Destroy it?" "Yeah." Reaper summoned her scythe. Error dangled it up higher, to give her a clear shot. "Oh Foul Soul, who has escaped Death, your punishment has come." Reaper muttered, before she brought her scythe down on the object, piercing it through the center. Error let the diadem drop. It looked whole still, but there was a black ooze that leaked out of it. "Is that... normal?" he asked Reaper. "No, that was a Horecrux!" Reaper hissed. "I thought that the Mages had destroyed all records of how to create them!"
Error rolled his eyes. "These mages are stupid. The only reason we're here is because Inky has a bug in his code right now, so it's not safe for him to leave." "And there's more than one! I could sense it when I destroyed that thing!" Reaper hissed. Error facepalmed. "I'm willing to bet I know who made the things too..." he muttered. Maybe Nightmare would like the opportunity to kill Voldemort? At least, send Dust, Killer and Horror out on a killing spree among the Death Eaters? "Who made them? Was itVoldie?" Error looked over at Reaper when her voice changed. He narrowed his eyes. "Yes..." He probably should call Mistral or something soon, he felt like he was really missing something here.
Reaper growled. "I hate those who cheat Death.." "Makes more work for you, right?" Error asked quietly. "Yes, it does." she confirmed. "Well, if there's others, they should be fairly simple to find. The guy has a hell of an ego." Error said. "Yeah, he sure does, but I wonder how one of them ended up in Inky, before it was destroyed." Reaper growled. Error narrowed his eyes. "That's something I plan on asking him when I find his cowardly ass." he growled, his tear marks showing up more vividly. "I have a feeling that you are going to enjoy that."
Error grinned, a bloodthirsty looking thing. There was a reason he got along with the other Bad Sans' so well. Reaper grinned as well. "I think I'm going to call in Nightmare and his group to look, and quite possibly thin out Voldemort's troops. This has gone on long enough." Error said firmly. "I agree, by the way, why do I want to ask about the Headmaster's office?" Reaper was confused. Error froze. He whirled around and stared at Reaper. "I think... I need to call someone." he said slowly, staring at Reaper.
