Part One
I was driving home and I saw a hitchhiker standing off to the side of the road. He was a rather tall, older looking gentleman with a wizards hat, a long gray beard, long gray robes, and a large almost staff like walking stick.
I slow down as I approach the man and stop just in front of him rolling down my window. I call out to the man, “get in we're late,” as I unlock the doors for him.
He gets in and plainly replies, “a wizard is never late nor early. He arrives precisely when he means to.”
I take the man to where he wished to go and then head home. Once home I excitedly run up to my partner, who is sitting on the couch reading the book I got for him. “Baby! You'll never guess what happened on my way home!” I basically yell, do to my excitement.
“What happened?” He asks calmly but also clearly very interested in what has me so hyped up.
I frantically tell him of the hitchhiker and his eyes widen with excitement and a hint of jealousy. I finish my story with a, “see, I told you you should have come to the store with me.”
