Prison break
"Do you think he made it?", Lily asked the other girl. They were still in the dungeon waiting for any news. "Yeah. I mean, it looked rather scary, but you don't normally die from that. At least I hope so", Mary sighed.
"He passed out. That can't be good.", Lily said to herself. "Maybe it wasn't the blood loss. He said he just ran away. Maybe it was the stress and all…", Mary tried to reason. Lily nodded in agreement.
"Gosh, I'm so cold. Can't they put any blankets here?", Lily asked, even though it wasn't a real question. Just then, Mary noticed that Lily wasn't wearing much. She was wearing a loose, white shirt with a thin, brown skirt and a red corset.
"Lily", Mary said. "Come here", she gestured with her arm to sit beside her. Lily did as she was told. They were sitting next to each other as Mary put her arm around Lily's shoulder. "Jesus, you're an ice cube, girl.", Mary said, astonished from Lily's low body temperature.
"I want to get out of here", Lily whispered. "I know, dear. We will. What do you think about going to another kingdom together once we are free?", Mary quietly asked, trying to be optimistic. "That would be nice", Lily said, looking up at Mary.
They sat like this for a while till Mary heard quiet snoring from the other girl. They were still hugging each other tightly.

"Hey, I'm searching for Mary and Lily", Mary heard a male voice shout. "Wake up, Lily", she whispered.
Then she heard another voice she couldn't immediately recognize. "Hey Sirius, have you found them?", the voice asked breathlessly. "No, James.", now Mary knew. It was James and another Boy. "What took you so long anyway?", the boy asked.
"Is that James?", Lily asked more to herself. "Yes, I believe that's him.", Mary replied, hope forming within her. Lily stood up, walking over to the fence. "James?", she whispered. "We're here."
"Oh, thank god, Lily.", James said relieved. "Okay, get them out", James advised Sirius, gesturing to the lock. Sirius took a bunch of keys outside his pocket, trying the first key. "I have so many questions right now", Mary said, while Sirius was trying to open the door.
The sixth key finally worked, getting the girls out. "Okay, so we need to hurry if we don't want a whole fleet of ships on our heels", James urgently said. "Yes, follow me, James. Ladies", he said, smirking.
As they were wandering through the night, the girls explained why they were in the dungeon in the first place. Then Sirius shocked them with the story why he even wanted to run away. "Well, I'm the crown prince, which means I need to be perfect. If I wasn't perfect and made the tiniest mistake, she'd abuse me in various ways. I can't do this any more.", Sirius said frantically.
"Oh Sirius, I'm so sorry.", James said while giving him a sympathetic look. James felt deeply sorry for his new friend. He felt as though he didn't deserve this freedom when his parents were nothing but good to him. "Mm, and my brother was always the golden child. So I suppose he will become king one day. My mother probably won't even search for me.", Sirius said as if he was indifferent to it.
The four of them kept walking without saying another word. When they had reached the ship they were planning to steal, James remembered something. "Does anyone here know how to steer a ship? 'Cause I don't", he couldn't believe that he didn't think about that earlier.
"I know the basics. My father used to take me with him when he went to other kingdoms. The people on the ship taught me some things." Sirius said casually. "Very good.", he sighed relieved. "Let's go then. Goodbye people", he said, waving the castle in the dark.
