Dorcas
“What exactly is the plan? Are we just going to find them to bring to Remus?” Peter looked confused.
“No. Well we find them and we find out if they have found their soulmate yet. If they have there is no need to show them Remus but if they haven’t we see how bad the row was and if it could have been strong enough to break the bond then we bring the person to Remus. Only if it is necessary because if Remus finds out about this, he will get upset and I don’t think that he needs that right now.”
James was right. It could make him worse or he’ll get better and kill them all. Sirius needed to find this soulmate so first off: Dorcas. She would be easy, he knew exactly where to go.
Sirius knocked on her door and impatiently waited. He needed her to open this door. Sirius felt like he was running out of time. He was running out of time. He thought about Remus. Good, smart, Remus. Before he left he looked over at where he lay resting. He was so pale, no color whatsoever even his beautiful freckles were pale.
He was also thin. Too thin but that was because he hardly ate anything. The last few days he ate soup. Sirius would make it and forced him to drink at least half the bowl. It was all he could keep down.
Sirius thought about his scars. Even those had grown slightly pale. The more fragile Remus looked, the harsher the scars looked. Normally Remus looked like a battled scar warrior from the heavens. Sirius once saw him in just his towel and that beautiful image never left his sight again.
At least not until recently. Now it is of a very sick Remus that cannot even eat or stay awake for too long. Finally the door swung open drawing him out of his thoughts. There stood Dorcas with an angry look and just a towel. Sirius could hear the noise of a shower going.
“What do you want?”
Sirius suddenly felt insecure but he dealt with it the same way he always does. “Well, what can I say I have perfect timing?” Then he winked.
Dorcas rolled her eyes, “Answer the question, I was in the middle of something.” Her voice sounded annoyed and strict.
Okay, right to it then. “Listen, do you know who your soulmate is?”
“You come here to ask about my soulmate?”
Okay this is a bit awkward. “Yes. Remus is getting sick and we need to find his soulmate. Is there any chance he is your soulmate? I know you had a row with him and you could have accidentally…”
“Sirius, stop. Before you continue rambling off. No, I know who my soulmate is and it isn’t Remus.”
Sirius was about to ask if she was sure when a voice came from a different room. “Love, are you coming?” Was that Marlene?
“Alright. Sorry Sirius. It isn’t me, good luck.” Sirius was then pushed outside and had the door slammed shut.
