Chapter 1

Okay so maybe having sex with his brothers and best friend’s worst enemy, wasn’t his greatest idea, maybe it was even one of his dumbest decisions in his sixteen years of living. But really, what sane gay teenager in this repressed, heteronormative, wizarding society would pass up on the opportunity to do the unspeakable with an objectively hot guy.

Say what you want about Marcus Flint and his incredibly rude and disagreeable personality, but nobody could deny that a guy, who had played quidditch probably since he was born and who was pretty obsessed with sports and working out, Percy had heard all about that thanks to Oliver, had a physic you could call objectively attractive. In Percy’s opinion, he wasn’t ugly just because his face wasn’t classically handsome. Certainly, he also liked smooth skin, sharp jaws, and pretty eyes, if he didn’t, he wouldn’t have dated his ex, but Marcus’s sun and generally accident-marked skin, crooked nose, and dark, deep-set eyes had a rougher charm to them that Percy couldn’t quite describe. Maybe it was that Marcus was one of the few guys' Percy knew that was taller than him if not much, or Percy was just a horrible cliché that had a thing for some stupid stereotypical ´´bad boy’’ that seemed to feel nothing but anger or glee about others suffering. He was sure that if that was true, he would not be the only one. He had seen some other girls and boys sneak a few glances at the quidditch player and if Marcus had a more likeable personality there would surely be more people that would ignore the teeth thing and be more open about their attraction.

Percy had never thought that he’d get a chance to date any guy in his school years. Most gay guys his age didn’t go for tall gangly´, redheaded and pale, stuck-up people. After all, Percy’s own family didn’t really like to be around him and he knew that he only had two friends, thanks to his tendency to just be ‘’too much’’. With all this against him, it had been hard to understand why Alexei had wanted to date him, although that was over now, it still stung to think about it.
So, it would honestly just have been incredibly stupid to reject a guy, that he found handsome just because he was worried what his family and friends would say when they would never find out.

When Marcus had approached him at one of the slithering/Ravenclaw parties Penny, one of his aforementioned two friends, liked to drag him to he was sure he would leave this party with a black eye or without the little money he carried with him. maybe both. So, when the black-haired boy simply leaned against the wall beside him and started to make simple small talk about the party, Percy had been more than just a bit confused by, and a lot weary of, the other boy’s actions.

At least at first, because after what was probably more than an hour off them talking in which Marcus hadn’t just randomly decided to punch him in the face for fun, he was inclined to believe that he wouldn’t do it at all. Instead, he found himself enjoying the easy flow off their words. The whole situation they were in felt so surreal that neither really thought that they had to perform according to their normal image.
And surprisingly, what started out, as admittedly awkward small talk had turned into snide comments and jokes that mind have been a bit mean, although the most surprising thing was probably, that no animosity’s were directed towards each other but rather the people around them. Apparently shit talking about others was where they found common ground. And speaking off ´´do you think they’ll stop or are they just gonna fuck right there” Marcus gestured towards two people while he said it, and Percy hadn’t been able to hide his disgust at the boy and girl on the dance flor, that made sure to show everyone why only 16 and above year-old students were allowed to these parties. ´´not sure, he’s so far up her skirt that for all that we know they could already be doing it’’.

They were so close to each other that Percy could feel the small chuckle that his remark got out of Marcus ´´`` doing it?” Weasley?’’ Percy let his eyes wander over to Marcus’s face, he hadn’t realised how close they were before and the grin on the others face did something weird to his insides, that made Percy unsure if the weird fuzzy feeling was just thanks to the alcohol, he had consumed prier, at least until Marcus continued talking ´´what are you thirteen?’’.

Percys eyebrows scrunched together, and he slapped the other against his shoulder, not that it did anything Marcus laughing made that apparent ´´I’m sorry, but not everybody has to use explicit language like you do’’ percy underlined his words by raising his head and looking away from Marcus. Marcus raised his beer to his lips, took a sip and said ´´right, how could I forget that I was talking to prefect Percy’’ the words did not sound mocking like normally when they were supposed to hurt but Percy couldn’t suppress an eye-roll, luckily for for him that landed his view on the beer bottle in Marcus hand that was now positively empty and gave him an idea for a topic change. He gestured at Markus bear and asked ´´are you gonna get more off that?’’ the other smirked ´´why? Are too afraid to get one yourself and want me to get it for you’’and ignoring Percys huff continued ´´not very Griffindoor off you Perce’ ‘’.

Percy could feel irritation bubble up inside off him and he got more into Marcus's space ´´first off all don’t call me perce’’ he had been ready to go on a roll but after seeing Marcus surprised expression he took a breath and continued calmer ´´and second, no, I don’t need you to bring me anything’’. Marcus seemed to take that the wrong way and his face became more closed off and he seemed to lean away from Percy ´´fuck, it's not like I’d force you to do anything’’. Percy felt his stomach drop. For unknown reasons he didn’t want the gap between them to widen.

´´Wait, I didn’t mean it like that’’ he looked down while Marcus raised an eyebrow `` I’m just a lightweight, that already had too much for his own good’’ at that Marcus chuckled, the tension between them seemed to disappear and Percy leaned back into the others space. ´´Oh, I didn’t know you could be so irresponsible’’ Marcus exaggerated voice and stupid grin made it clear that he was kidding, and Percy smiled at him ´´I’m still a Griffindoor remember?’’ he tapped his fingers against his head while he said it.´´I always thought you were incapable off enjoying yourself’’ and again percy couldn’t detect any malice in the other’s words.
´´Well, I always fought you were incapable off any other emotions then anger and spitefulness’’ both of them had taken to a teasing tone, with which Marcus continued as their faces got closer, neither of them had realised just how close they had gotten at this point. ´´well it looks like were both surprising each other tonight’’. And surely Percy was very glad that they were in a corner somewhere in the back off the room where not much light fell on them, and no one could see how close they were, how marcus was basically leaning over Percy shielding him from the people in the room. And with help from his last functioning brain cell, he said ´´I should probably go back to my room ‘’. His voice was breathy in a way he didn’t intend.

There was a small twitch in Marcus face and Percy continued vastly ´´not because off you. I’m just starting to feel dizzy’’ Marcus let himself fall back, against the wall beside Percy ,,are you sure you can get all the way up there like this’’ Percy couldn’t suppress a grin of his own this time ´´why? Are you worried?’’. He wasn’t sure but it almost looked like Marcus got a little red at that before he shook his head and said ´´nope, it's just that if you die on the way there, the teachers will be on our asses for parties like this’’ ´´well really don’t think that there’s a way for me to die while going upstairs’’.

Now Marcus looked a bit exaggerated, Percy, can you hear yourself, upstairs’’ he only shook his head at Percy’s confused gaze and continued ´´ seriously, what happens to drunk people who overestimate themselves and try to climb stairs?’’ Percy rolled his eyes at that ´´well, going to bed sounds way more responsible to me than staying here all night’’ ,,can’t you just stay with your girlfriend, or something?’’ it sounded more like a statement than a question from Marcus, and now Percy was getting a bit annoyed, he didn’t even try hide it when he said his next words staring into the others eyes ,, you really think you know a whole lot about me, mh?’’. Marcus leaned in closer ´´well, was I wrong bout’ something?’’ and now percy started to wonder how they always ended up so close to each other's faces, and Percy knew that he would blame all his unchecked feelings on the alcohol tomorrow as he said ´´well first of all, penny is not my girlfriend’’.
The following grin on Marcus face made him unsure about how to continue. He didn’t have to when Marcus cut in ``oh really, does that mean-´´.

There was a sudden loud crash on the other side off the room, both boys flinched away from each other and looked in the direction off the disturbance where Percy could see two students that he didn’t know laying on the floor. But in Percys state, being drunk and without his glasses, he could not figure out how they ended up there. Until he heard Marcus grown beside him ´´they blew up the fucking music box’’ said box was a muggle thing one off the student had brought from home.
And Percy could only guess that it was probably overwhelmed by too many people using magic on it. Percy also couldn’t make out if he should be worried about the students well being, Marcus seemed mostly annoyed and not concerned at all, but that probably didn’t say much. It didn’t really matter anyway since in Percys current state he wasn’t likely to be off any help.

He saw people around him becoming frantic, looking towards the only person he had talked to the entire night, he noticed wasn’t leaning against the wall beside him anymore. Instead, he had straightened up to scan the room looking a bit concerned. ´´ah fuck, there is no way no teacher heard that´´ he looked back at Percy ´´m’ sure they’re gonna be here any minute´´ percy could feel himself shrug and say ´´then we should probably leave before they’re here´´ he didn’t look back at Marcus before straightening out and making his way towards the dorm entrance, whatever this weird comradely that they had tonight was, It was surely over now and tomorrow everything would go back to normal again.

He felt very irritated at the stinging off disappointment that thought carried with it. Surely, he wasn’t so desperate that a two-hour conversation with a guy, he couldn’t have a future with anyway make him develop feelings for said guy. And who in merlins name gave him the idea that flint was anything other than straight. Flint was probably just drunk, like percy himself and had a short moment off confusion.
Yeah, both of them would forget all about this tomorrow.

After Percy had Findlay made his way thru the sea of body’s and out of the entrance of the Ravenclaw tower. He first noticed how unsteady he really was on his feet, now that there wears nothing around it steady him. Merlin this was exactly why he normally didn’t even go near alcohol, not after the first time he had gotten drunk, made a fool of himself and had to hear about it for months thanks to his siblings. especially Fred and George, those to still brought it up sometimes.

After he found his footing again, he hurried towards the next corner. At least he would be safe from the teachers' eyes there. But the dizziness in his head made it a bit difficult to walk straight but he was. Almost at the corner when suddenly someone grabbed his hand. Percy flinched and turned around too fast for his body to keep up, he was lucky that Marcus was fast in catching him, holding him steady by his shoulders ´´Merlin, Weasley are you deaf? ´´ Percy looked at Marcus’s incredulous face. Had the other filled him? ´´I didn’t hear anything. Did you follow me? ´´. Did he imagine the slight redden on the others face? No. He was probably just the alcohol in their system Marcus looked at him sheepishly and helped him walk towards the corner again as he said ´´ I thought I made it obvious that I don’t think it's a good idea to walk drunk around the castle´´. Percy sight at that ´´I get that, but if you think I'd let you help me there, so you can find out where the Griffindoor common room is, your wrong´´he frowned accusatory at Marcus, because really, what other motivation could have for acting so nice for “not even drunk am I dumb enough to do that” that earned him a offended snort from Marcus before he said “and who’s assuming things now” for all the offence in his voice he did not sound angry. “What? You want to help me out of the goodness of your own heart”. Percy two did not sound mean, it seemed that their easy banter did not stay in that dark corner after all. They had finally gotten around the corner when marcus fastened an Arm around Percy’s shoulders as he said “I’m not saying that I don’t have any ulterior motives, but this is definitely not about your common- “.

A loud crash interrupted his words yet again. Percy only caught a glimpse of what was going on in front of the Ravenclaw common room, there, in front of the entrance were at least three teachers, that caught all the student that tried to escape thru the exit. ´´looks like we got lucky´´ the words were whispered into Percy’s ear. With madPercy aware of how closely Marcus was leaning over him to catch a glimpse off the happenings around the corner and putting them in a very compromising position should they be caught. He felt his face flushing and pushed Marcus out of his space while hissing ´´I wouldn’t consider being stuck back here lucky ´´.

Good thing that he wasn’t strong enough to actually push him far, he’d also blame that on the alcohol tomorrow because that would have sent him tumbling right into the teachers view.
Marcus stepped aside away from the corner pulling Percy alongside down the hallway ,,what do you mean stuck´´ they were eat the end off the hallway and Percy could feel irritation rise inside of him but as soon as he saw the genuine confusion on the others face he dealt it die down as he said ,, I mean, were back here and the only way to the main corridor is past the exit, and I bet that there is at least one of them waiting to catch students and I don’t think it’ll be easy to get past them´´ Realisation seamed to spark on Marcus face at that, but then it turned into smugness ,,well definitely not for you´´ ´´ what do you mean by that´´and this time he didn’t keep any irritation out off his voice but Marcus didn’t Arnsberg that question instead he confused Percy even more ´´ ohh, I thought you knew´´ Percy fealty his eyebrow twitch ´´knew what?´´ ´´oh, there is a passage to the dungeons back there´´ he pointed even further Down the hallway and Percy raised his voice and spluttered ´´ why didn’t you just say that from the beginning!? ´´. he slapped his hand over his mouth, he didn’t mean to get so loud.

Silence as the two boys stared at each other. And then the clacking of heals. Percys couldn’t help but feel embarrassed when Marcus looked at him exasperated. The Clicking came closer. ´´fuck ´´he grabbed Percy’s hand and pulled him even further down the hallway ´´I think that’s Snape ´´. They were beside each other at the end off the hallway when Percy finally found his words again ´´sorry, about that´´ Marcus only rolled his eyes before he raised his hand towards the wall and pressed against one of the stones and just like he said part off the ground beside the opened up and reviled a staircase that lead down into the dark, where his there eyes couldn’t reach.

´´this is only going to make your punishment worse´´ shapes gravely slimy voice echoed off the walls down the same satires they were running down. He didn’t know if Snape had seen them, but he hopped the dark had been on there side. They were almost down the satires and Percy had made the conclusion that he would never run down satires, or anything really while drunk. He could see some lights piking around from some off the corners other than that it was dark down here, there was nothing covering the blank walls no loud gossiping painting no tapestries and only one or the other occasional magical to arch as to not drown the dungeon labyrinth in compleat darkness even in the day because down here, underground were no windows either.
His heart was beating so loud that he could hear it in his ears, it drummed so loud that he couldn’t hear if Snape was still following them. And if they lost him, he hopped that the portraits they passed upstairs didn’t go snitch to the teachers in the morning.
Marcus had pulled Percy beside himself, somewhere around the middle of the of the satires He didn’t want him to fall down. After they were over the end off the satires
Marcus led them thru the labyrinth and while walking thru cold stony, wet, disorienting corridors he was very glad that Marcus seamed to know where they were going.
