Getting Ready to Change Everything
Years of preperation. Countless hours of pain. Everything was gone, and everyone had vanished. Some dead, and others gone for much more painful reasons. Harry Potter and Neville Longbottom were the only ones left. At the Battle of Hogwarts, just as they were about to win, just as Tom's own killing curse was about to end his life, Voldemort dissapeared. Vanished into thin air, and so did the Light Side's victory. Months later, Bellatrix Lestrange was caught and taken into custody for both her past crimes and a much more recent one: turning Voldemort's cloak into a portkey during the Battle of Hogwarts, allowing him to escape. Moly Weasly was aghast. She had believed Belatrix to be dead. In fact, she belived she was responsible for Bellatrix's death. In reality, that was partially true. Shortly before the "final" battle, Bellatrix had made a quick visit to Saint Mungos Hospital. Im sure you must be wondering why. It was there that Bellatrix Black-Lestrange murdered Frank and Alice Longbottomk, and used that act of evil as a catalyst for the creation of her very own horcrux. Bellatrix had proved that she wasnt just some crazy devoted sidekick of the Dark Lord. She was a monster.
There is no room for justice in a corrupt society. With ease, Voldemort personally led the second mass breakout of Azkaban. Bellatrix and many more Death Eaters were free once more. The year that followed was nothing but pure hell. Ron, Hermione, Luna, Ginny; all dead. Murdered one after the other, just to make Harry break. It didnt work. He still kept fighting. But alas, there was more suffering ahead. The Order of the Pheonix got completely wiped out. Obliterated and crushed. Yet Harry refused to crack. He vowed the second Voldemort had vanished from the battlefield that he would stop at nothing to end Tom Riddle's life. It was with Neville, his opposite and yet also his twin, that he found solace in a living hell. They both knew they only had one purpose: Win. No matter the cost. Unfortunately, they had a coupple issues: Lack of allies. And lack of information.
Number of horcruxes; unknown. It was strongly believed (council with Dumbledore's portrait had been more than enough to help confirm their suspicions) that Voldemort had gone on to replenish his Horcruxes. Unfortunatley, they believed that he had gone furthur than just replenishing. Their leading theory was that he had been so afraid of his near death experience that he decided he truely would become immortal, no matter how the severing if his soul affected his outwardly appearance, intellect, or personality. They had no clear estimate on the number of Horcruxes. It could be anywere in between 7 and HUNDREDS of horcruxes. They had no way to tell. They were all fighting a losing battle.
It was because of this that Harry and Neville ended up hidden and with the most extreme protective enchantments placed on them. After much effort, the two men were able to produce a time turner strong enough to go back many years at a time.
And so, It was time to fix everything.

After developing the turners, Neville and Harry produced school trunks capable of fitting an entire room inside. They spent multiple years preparing and planning. They were just about ready to save the Wizarding World, without ever allowing anyone to die. That was their plan. And so, just minutes before leaving for the past, Neville checked the list.

This was a list of things they would need. Almost like a to-do list. And it will eventually be completed. But that would take some time before it be came a reality.

Feeling happy for the first time in years, Harry and Neville knew they had everything they needed to begin their journey. But most importantly, they had hope.
"You ready?" Neville asked Harry.
"Been ready since I was a baby," Harry responded, absoloutley determined.
They both drank a very potent Shrinking Solution, physically turning them ten years old again. They turned their time turners and waited.
The sound of the steady fall of sand, followed by a disorienting whirl and a bright flash.
Harry cast a spell to confirm the date.
"TEMPUS!"
January 1st, 1970. Just over a year before Lily, James, Sirius, Remus, Peter, and Severus start school together.
It truely was the perfect time to change everything.
