James was standing next to a restaurant Lily told him to go to, an Italian restaurant, he was next to his car with sunglasses and a short white shirt with brown leather jacket on and baggy black jeans, he was waiting for his date - his fake date, Regulus Black.
Regulus got out of his car, wearing a black suit as usual and sunglasses as well.
He walked over to James.
"Hey."
"Hey"
That's all they had said when they entered the restaurant. As soon as the hostess saw them, she ran towards them, leaving everything and smiling at them, after all, not every day celebrities like James and Regulus come to her restaurant.
"You- are you James Potter and Regulus Black??" the hostess asked excitedly as
James nodded, taking off his glasses and smiling at her.
"We have a spot reserved for Lily Evans,"
The hostess nodded and led them to a side booth, next to a window overlooking the street so that people could see them from the outside.
They sat down and a waiter immediately arrived, as excited as the hostess was.
They ordered some food and then it was quiet, no one spoke.
Eventually James spoke, he doesn't like silence, it makes him feel uncomfortable, and especially if it's an awkward silence - like it was before he spoke.
"So, how are you?" He asked, looking at Regulus who had taken off his sunglasses and placed them next to him, he had a determinate expression, a poker face, like he was emotionless.
Regulus studied him quietly, nodding.
James didn't settle for a nod so he said "What, you swallowed your tongue?" in a light tone of embarrassment.
Regulus rolled his eyes "No, I didn't swallow my tongue, Potter."
James smiled, ever since he knows Regulus, which is since he was 12 and Regulus was 11, he went to the boarding school where James and Sirius studied, Regulus always called him Potter. He did not agree to call him by his first name or any other name except for 'Idiot'.
In James' last year, he felt like Regulus had opened up to him a bit, they had a class together, mentoring the upper classes to the younger classes, but he was probably wrong because Regulus still doesn't even like him.
James chuckled, "You know, I have a name, Love."
"Love?" Regulus raised an eyebrow.
"Oh well, as much as the whole world know, we're going out."
Regulus sighed, "Nobody's here, you know that right?"
"I'm 99% sure that we're being photographed and they can read our lips, yeah?"
"They take pictures, yes, but our lips won't be read, idiot."
"How are you so sure? Love?" He withdrew the affectionate name, seeing that Regulus grew angrier.
One of James' hobbies always has been to annoy Regulus.
It's just so easy, Regulus gets angry too quickly.
And sometimes, sometimes he thinks he can see a slight blush on Regulus' cheeks, like now - a faint pinkish tint painted on Regulus' cheeks, but James is sure he's hallucinating or it's the light in the restaurant.
"I'm too tired to deal with you, why did I agree to this?" Regulus sighed angrily.
Their food had arrived, and the whole date - the fake one, Regulus keeps reminding James that detail - is spent with James teasing Regulus and Regulus rolling his eyes.

James enters the house after the date, smiling.
Sirius and Peter were playing a computer game, screaming and cursing at each other - or rather Sirius was screaming and cursing at Peter and Peter just grinned.
Remus was sitting on the couch, reading a book.
"Prongs!!!! Tell that son of a bitch that I-"
"I won!!"
"Son of a bitch!!!"
James laughed, Sirius have never beat Peter at video games - neither did anyone else.
But Sirius had a bigger ego than the average human and is trying to regain his pride after Peter defeated him when they were 15.
"Moony! Tell him!!" Sirius whined towards Remus.
"Pete, let Sirius win once so he'll leave me alone"
"Never!"
James rolled his eyes, sitting down next to Remus.
"How long have they been like this?"
"Pretty much since you left- Sirius!! Leave Peter!!"
Sirius stopped pulling Peter's hair.
"Sirius, go to your room."
"I don't want to."
"Sirius!"
"Fine, Fine!" Sirius said in defeat, walking angrily to his room like a little child, muttering curses under his breath.
Peter rubbed his temple, sitting down on the couch with his legs crossed.
"You have a talent" James said to Remus
"Huh?" Remus looked up from his book, which he continued reading once Sirius left.
"You're the only one Sirius listens to."
Remus shrugged quietly and went back to reading.
Peter and James exchanged glances.
Everyone knew that Remus was in love with Sirius, since they've known each other, which is 11 years old, everyone knows that.
Sirius is also in love with Remus, since the age of 15, but he is unaware.
James thinks it's because Sirius is afraid of his feelings. Like he was afraid of being queer - before he realized he was, like the rest of the gang.
Peter was probably the only one who wasn't afraid.
He was aromantic, he has no romantic feelings for anyone.
James is pansexual - he doesn't care what gender he dates. He dated boys, he dated girls and he also dated Genderfluid for a few dates but they didn't have it as a couple.
Remus is gay - he came out to them at the age of 17 like they didn't know before, well except for Sirius who picks up on things later than the others.
Sirius is bisexual - he has dated girls and boys.
But James knows it doesn't matter who he's dating, as long as it's not Remus, they'll break up eventually.
James' phone rang.
"Redhead" was written on the phone's display.
"Hey Lils"
"Open the gossip website on TV!!"
"Pete! The remote!" Peter threw the remote at him and he caught it, putting on the gossip channel.
On the TV there was a picture of Regulus and James in a restaurant, James laughing and Regulus having a small smile on his lips.
"James Potter, drummer for The Marauders, spotted on what appears to be a date with Regulus Black!" said the journalist.
"Well! Are you there?" Lily asked from the phone
James nodded then remembered she couldn't see him "Yeah, yeah, we're there. Where are you anyway?"
She was silent for a while "Not something that should worry you.."
"Are you on a date????" he jumped
"How- yes- shut up!"
"Whooo?"
"No!"
"Please"
"I said not, Potter"
Lily hadn't called him that since he was 13, it was just when she was angry, and it reminded him of Regulus.
"Okay okay, have fun! Take care"
"Okay Jami, bye" she hung up.
"Lily's on a date!"
"what??" Peter and Remus asked together.
"-She won't tell me who, but she said she's on a date"
"Jamessssss!!!! You're on TV, hahaha!!!" Sirius shouted from the upper floor.
"I know!!!!!"
"Moonyyy can I come?"
"You're not going to hit Peter?"
There was quiet for a few minutes and then Sirius said "Yeah! Okay!"
"So you can."
In less than two seconds Sirius was down
"You're on TV, and so is Reggie"
James nodded quickly.
Peter and Remus rolled their eyes.
They had a personal joke - every time one of them is on TV, they act like they're not famous.
No one gets the joke and why they don't tell.
"So how was it??" Sirius sat between Remus and James
James scoffed "Okay, he's harder than I remembered, you can't make him laugh."
"In the picture on TV he is smiling"
"He laughed at me"
"Okay now everything is clear."
"Sirius- can you move??" Remus asked
"Why? Do you have a problem?"
"Yes! You are sitting very close to me!!"
"And...? do you have any problem with that?" Sirius looked at him, raising his eyebrows and smiling flirtatiously,
"God ,yes-"
They stared at each other and did not speak.
Peter and James exchanged confused looks.
Lately they don't stop doing it, flirting and fighting - especially having a staring contest.
Sirius won, he grinned with a winning look and Remus rolled his eyes, going back to his book.
James and Peter giggled, Sirius and Remus are talking like a married couple.
