“ I’m sorry you want Hermione to marry Draco while I marry you?” Daphne asked, confused. “ Yep.” Theo said calmly. “ But he’s gay!” Daphne said, making Draco look at her confused, “ I’m Pansexual.” help said with a frown. “ Oh sorry… But he loves you and you love him! I want to marry her!” Daphne squealed.
“ I know but we’re trapped okay. Nothing can break it so we’re stuck and he has to fulfill his duties. Why not keep our eggs in one basket? Hermione can marry Draco. She gives him an Heir. Which takes care of that. We wait out the contract and after it’s broken we all divorce and we can happily be together.” Theo said with a smile.
“ We can raise our children together. We wouldn’t have any worries about any other problems.” Hermione said with a smile. Draco and Daphne looked at them before looking at each other.
15 years later…
Hermione Malfoy looked down at the divorce papers her husband had sat in front of her. “ So are we doing this?” He asked his white blonde hair styled perfectly with his glasses on his face. “ Has Theo and Daphne done it already?” Hermione asked, leaning back in her office chair. Draco took a swig of his fire whisky. “No. They were seen out with Octavius & Zephyr. Maybe they’re helping the kids understand what’s happening or maybe they’re spending family time.” He said his fingers twisting his wand.
Hermione hummed as she glanced at the papers in front of her again before grabbing them and placing them in the drawer grabbing her wine glasses and finishing it before standing up. “ I should go check on Leo. You know how he gets at night if he knows we’re both up.” She sighed, placing a kiss on his cheek and patting his shoulder. He squeezed her hand and watched her walk away with a frown on his face.
He hated Theo and her for this suggestion all those years ago. Had they just had one child together maybe splitting up would’ve been easier for him but this was his family. His wife. He was being asked to let his wife leave him for somebody else.
Everything hadn’t worked out like they had wanted. His father hadn’t wanted him to have anything to do with Theodore so when he married Hermione Daphne nor Theo were invited. When Lucius died a year later Draco attempted to contact Theo only to be denied contact by Theo’s father. Hermione was much the same with Daphne's. So they started trying children. It wasn’t a hard process nor was it uneasy. The two had chemistry as well as sexual chemistry.
Hermione quickly got pregnant with twins. Draco was actually over the moon; he had always wanted children and he couldn’t wait to show the wizarding world that he was a much better father than his own. They learned from the daily prophet that Daphne was also expecting. While it was a success for them coming back together it also broke them down that they couldn’t share this like they had planned.
Scorpius Draco Malfoy & Lyra Jean Malfoy were born with tuffs of blonde curls on their heads. Scorpius’s hair started to slowly turn into manageable curls that Hermione loved running her fingers through. Lyra’s hair was just her mom’s but the same color as her dad's, something her grandmother loved. The twins' Godfather of course ended up being Harry Potter who adored both curly-haired blonde babies even if he still couldn’t stand Malfoy much.
It was about 4 years before the accident happened. Now it wasn’t like Hermione and Draco were married and didn’t have sex. They had sex but it was all protected if she wasn’t on the potion. They used the spell or she used the pill fuck they even used condoms. They had agreed that their two beautiful children were enough and everything was going great until they caught sight of Theo and Daphne at a party and the two of them completely ignored them.
Hermione drank herself into oblivion and Draco joined her. It just so happened to be the time of the month when she stopped taking the potion since it messes with her period so they usually use condoms or the spell but both were way too drunk to remember that.
This night resulted in their youngest, Leo Remus Malfoy, named after Draco’s mother's favorite cousin and Hermione’s favorite teacher. It was after the birth of their third child that brought the change in their relationship. Neither knew what Daphne and Theo’s plans were so in the back of both Draco and Hermione’s mind was the option of staying with their family.
