Merlin crossovers (short stories)

By now he had met a few other people, like Alexis, Jim and a crocodile called Shirley -which liked him as well-, Aster and Syrus who is the best friend of Jaden.

(Won't add more characters as it would get too crowded and will just mentioned them.)

Merlin met the king and Queen as well. The two were really kind to him and he felt at ease with them as well. It was just that they had the kind of aura Jess had. It was clear that the prince got this from the parents. They as well were apologizing and he gave them just a wave and 'it's fine.'

He was feeling relatively relaxed but just with Jay and Jess. It felt strange how fast he could trust them. These two just had something in them that made him trust them instantly. There were as well the other crystal beast's who were as cool. But his favorite stayed Ruby. She stayed constantly near him and then there was Kuribo who was as well sitting on his head.

Jessie explained that his crystal beast liked him and would probably stay constantly with him -wouldn't it be for the prince to stop them. There was as well Kuribo who was constantly nestling in his head. It was because they were wanting to protect him. The two small beasts had the strongest bond with Jess and Jay. So they would instantly inform him when he was feeling stressed out. The two could feel even before him when he it would get too much.

There was as well Jay wanting him to show how to fight with daggers. At first, he wasn't wanting to, but he found out that he wasn't just good with daggers but as well with bow and arrows. The male just wanted him to have some way for protection.

It had been now the third day since being there and he was right now sitting right now with Jess and reading something. Jay was preparing something for a surprise, which Jess told him would still take another three days or something. He shrugged it off not thinking too much of it. Even when he felt curious. Jess was right now as well reading, until the silence was broken by the male.

"How about we head out for a ride? I am sure that you want to know how our kingdom is."

Book was instantly put aside, and he nodded. It seemed like something really interesting, but he just was a bit nervous. Whenever he went out with Arthur bandits came in the way.

"A warning bandits could appear."

Merlin wasn't going to just stay silent and Jess blinked and titled his head at him.

"Why do you think that bandits would appear?"

A humorless laugh came over him and his expression changed into one of a deadpan.

"Because they always do when I head out with Arthur. And I mean every damn time."

His voice as deadpanned and Jess looked at him with a look that told him 'you are joking, are you?'

"I am not joking. Trust me on this when this is like it is with Arthur then god help me. Fun fact I used my magic behind his back and that clot pole hadn't realized that I used it. Like seriously? The bandits tripping, getting hit mysteriously by a branch or loosing their sword. It was obvious and guess what I told him myself. Not even once I was found out. I even jokily said in front of the king that I have magic. And guess what?"

Jess blinked at his outburst but waited for him to continue. He couldn't help but having an exasperation in his tone.

"He. Didn't. Think. Once. Not. Once that I have magic. I don't even know how I hadn't been found out."

That was making Jess snort and looking amused now. It was and he still couldn't believe that he came away with this.

"H-hold up. He didn't believe you and didn't question this all?"

Merlin shook his head and Jess started to snort and soon into a laughing fit, which he ended up too. It was precisely then that Jay entered, and he stared at the two now.

"So what's so funny?"

Jess calmed a bit down and explaining to the other male what he ranted on. Soon Jess started to burst into a laughing fit once more. He giggled now and Jay started to giggle too. It took them away to calm down.

"But he knows now?"

He gave a nod and a grin. The three starting to get ready for a ride and he felt giddy now.

"I am just going to take my two daggers with me. Just to be sure."

The two nodded and they started to get their things. He wore a dark hood and the other two as well. Jess informed his parents about the plan and they started to ride. At least with four knights. Just to be on the safe side.

"Oh, look what we have there."

A sigh escaped as they were surrounded by bandits. Of course, this happened and of course all hell broke loose. But this time he could openly use his magic. Until someone had him in a tight choke hold.

"Move and this guy will have his taken down."

An exasperated expression was on his face. This was getting on his nerves, and why wasn't he even surprised at all.

"You shouldn't have done this."

His voice low and annoyed but the person just held him closer. He could even feel the breath on him, which made him shiver. So that his brain stopped working and he started to panic. Oh god not now. Please don't end up in 'small space'.

"Kuri?"

He felt his lips quiver and he was pretty sure that he would end up in crying. Lucky for him Kuribo and Ruby ended up jumping on the person, so that the grasp loosened. And he ended up using his elbow to punch him into his gut. And rushing away over to his friends.

"Gah, that was scary."

He could hear Jay say but he let out a shuddered breath and nodding. Jess let out a sigh and pulling him into a hug. It was now that he felt his body shake and he slowly hugged back.

"Glad to see that you are unharmed. You still want to continue, or we can just head back?"

He thought about it and a pout formed. Merlin still wanted to continue and so he huffed out.

"Merlin wants to continue and it's not the first time that Merlin ended up meeting bandits."

The hug left with this and they continued with their ride. But not without Jess and Jay having a constant eye on him. It made sense and by now he had been back to his normal age.

"Here we are. I guess you were not kidding with the bandits."

A deadpanned look overcame him, as on the rest of their way there had been a second time bandits appearing, but this time they had no chance.

"Yes, and it will happen again on our way back, trust me on this."

The knights blinked at this and nodded. But the other two chuckled and he could see amusement as well sympathy. The village was pretty, as well a homey feeling to it and he awed now. In the end he got to eat way too many foods, which Jay wanted him to taste. And Jess was dragging him to a clothes shop. The male was wanting him to try many outfits, somewhen even female ones. Why he wasn't sure, but he gave up.

"Couldn't resist and you looked genuine good in anything."

He nodded now and just shook his head in amusement. Jess decided to let him have a new neckerchief which was a teal colored one. He wanted him to have something that would show that he was friends with him. And as well a brown one which had the color of Jay's hair. It was just heartwarming for him.

There was as well other clothes which he ended up getting. Even when he wasn't wanting to, but Jess told him that it was a gift.

The rest of the day was just one bandit attack, but they managed to get back. Dinner had been luxurious, and he just wasn't used to it. Even after three days, but it had been delicious. Merlin hadn't eaten as much as the others and it reminded him again that the parents of Jess accepted Jay.

The two were after all together and it made him feel happy for them. But he couldn't help but feel jealous as his mother sadly wasn't as accepting. That was why he hadn't been in contact nor had written her. After he left his home village.

Arthur hadn't known about this. The same went with his Dad but at least he was accepting this, and it made him feel relieved. But it was probably now that he felt it the most. Felt the hole from not being accepting from his mother. Merlin hadn't told this his new friends and he wasn't wanting them to know. They would just be worried and he wasn't wanting this to be burdened up. So that he put up a mask not wanting to worry anyone. But he knew Jay felt his turmoil but lucky he hadn't asked further after asking him about his well being.

It had been in the middle of the night when he woke up. Breath rigid and heart beating fast. Tearsrolling down and he hiccupped. This nightmare had been horrible. Why had his mother not accepted this? Just why?

"Em?"

His slowly sat up and looking into the direction to see Jay entering. The male walked up to him and then pulling him into a hug. His arms hugging him back andhe buries his face into the chest of the other male.

"You better now, Em?"

The male always called him Em when he was emotional or alone. None knew about him being Emrys and it was hidden by others. The only one who knew were Jess, Jay, Gwaine,Arthy, Mordred, Morgana as well Gauis.

"Un."

He snuggled more into the chest and not wanting the male leave. What he knew was that Jess and Jay slept in the same bed as he and Arthy done.

"You want to talk about it?"

Merlin shook his head and with this he fell asleep in the other male's arm.

The morning came and Jay had by now left again. The male had his responsibility as the manservant of Jess. Let's just say Jay entered soon again and he was just not wanting to leave his bed.

Today was one of his not wanting to deal with the outside world days. In days like these, he ended up staying in bed and not even Arthur managed to make him leave. And days like these he would be in his small mindset.

"Morning Em.~"

It seemed that Jay knew instantly what mindset he was right now and he sat upand giving him a nod but instantly pulling the cover more up.

"You doing alright, Em?"

He wasn't wanting to talk but he knew that Jay would need some answers, so that he answered softly.

"Merlin has his small days. In small days Merlin doesn't want to go outside and wants to stay in bed. Merlin doesn't want to deal with the outside world then."

Footsteps approached, and someone was sitting on the bed, but he stayed where he was. Not too soon afterward a hand went soothingly in his hair.

"You want to tell big brother Jay what's wrong?"

This was probably the first time since he heard him say big brother and he wasn't minding this. Which made sense right now with his mindset.

"Mummy doesn't accept him liking males as well. I dunno why Mummy is against it. Is Merlin a bad boy?"

He couldn't help but ask as he felt like he was doing something really horrible. A shift was felt, and he felt himself now in the arms of Jay.

"No, you aren't. Sometimes people just aren't accepting. Just because your mother doesn't accept this, doesn't mean she doesn't love you."

He nodded and hugging him back. It was just not easy for him and it was painful to know that his mother wasn't accepting this.

"Does Arthur know about this?"

The voice of Jay was soft, yet curiousness said. The answer was a shake from his head. A shift was felt, and he was now pulled away. Jay looked at him sternly.

"You need to tell him this. He is your boyfriend and hiding this will make it just worse for you. You bottled this up and that was why you ended up with that nightmare isn't it so?"

His head dropped now, and he bit his lips. It was always like this and he bottled this up. It was true but he just wasn't wanting to burden this up with Arthy.

"B-but Arthy is busy and is the king. Merlin can't burden his worries onto Arthy. It wouldn't be fair as Arthy has more important worries then his."

A sigh was heard, and he felt now nervous. Soon a head ruffle felt, and he looked up to see a soft expression.

"Nothing is more important for Arthur then you are. Trust me the male is right now riding to our kingdom. When he wouldn't care for you, he would have left you here, but he isn't. Just tell him alright?"

He nodded now and going back under the cover. Even with talking he wasn't wanting to leave the bed.

"How about I get the crystal beast into your room and have a cuddle party?"

His head peaked up at this. A cuddle party sounded really awesome for him. So that he nodded and giving him a small smile.

"I will inform Jess then."

Let's just say the rest of the day he had cuddled with the beast with Jess and Jay checking up on him. At least today wasn't that bad and he would forsure talk with Arthur.
