Merlin crossovers (short stories)

Today should be the day when Arthur would appear. In the letter he had send should as well Gwaine and Mordred be with him. This made him giddy as well nervous. He was walking around nervously and his heart thundering in his chest. What will Arthur tell him? Will the others be mad at him like Arthur? This resulted in him ending up overwhelmed and when the door opened, he rushed over to Jess -who entered first- and tacking the male in a hug.

"What is wrong Em?"

He sniffed and hugging him even more now. So that Jess started to walk towards something like a couch and sitting them down.

"Merlin just feels nervous. What is when Arthy is mad at him for not listening? What is when the others are as mad as Arthy?"

The panicked tone clearly heard and he heard now sit someone else at the other side and a hand go soothingly in his hair.

"Big bro Jay will protect you. I will even talk to them first, when that will reassure you?"

His head slowly turned now towards the male and he had now a small smile. Now the male ruffled his hair in affection.

"Thank you Jay."

The male grinned now, and he couldn't help but feel instantly relaxed again. But it would still take a few more minute up to an hour for him to be out of that 'small bubble' when even longer.

"How about you take a bath? They shouldn't arrive until in noon."

The hug left, and he beamed now. Taking baths was always fun and he was feeling giddy now. In Camelot he had maybe all three days baths.

By now he had bathed and wore something else.

"Alright, let's go. You ready to meet them now?"

He nodded, and Jay took his hand. Jay was the one who like to put an arm around him or just contact in general even Jess was a contact person. So, it wasn't unusual for them to hold hands with him. And he wasn't minding this as he quite enjoyed the attention and the physical contact.

"Just a warning that Arthur can be a bit jealous."

Jay hummed at this and he saw a teasing glint now. The kind of one he had whenever he was planning to tease Jess. And jess chuckled at this and shook his head in fond exasperation.

"Jaden."

A warning tone was given but the male looked clueless but it was clear to the other two that he would do something.

"What? I just try to ease his nervousness. Or do you want to have him get back into his small bubble."

The two animals appeared and one was on his shoulder and the other one was nestled into his hair.

"Kuri/Ruby!"

The two greeted and he couldn't help but giggle now. The two animals would be something that he would miss. And he wished he could have his own.

"Oh and we have something later on for you. It should be in your room when you come back."

His head turned now towards Jess who gave him a curious look, but he knew that he won't get any answers. So that he gave a nod now and they started to head outside. His nerves were now back up and he felt himself being really close towards Jay.

"Come on it will be alright."

He nodded but not without biting his lip. It was just that he was really nervous so that he felt Ruby lick his face. His eyes trailed down and giving him a small smile.

"My lord and my lady."

He greeted the with a nod and the two ruffled his hair now in an affectionate way. Merlin was pretty sure that they knew that had a regressed mind. After all Jess would for sure have told them. There was as well Anastacia. The female glared at him in a subtle way, but Jay noticed. The male had narrowed eyes and he hid now behind the mentioned male.

"She still hasn't learned her lesson. I would advice to you two that she would end up into the dungeon for a week and then she can't leave the castle until she is really apologetic."

The two adults let out a sigh and they started to strengthen the punishment of her. By now he felt overwhelmed again and Jess had now a hand on his shoulder.

"Look at me and just breath in and out and try to think about something pleasant."

His breath shuddered and now he realized that he had been on the brink of a panic attack. So that he breathed in and out slowly until he had calmed down more. But he still felt unnerved so that he took Kuribo softly down and hugging him.

"Kuri?"

He looked down and giving him a anxious look, which made the small fluff ball snuggle into his arms and he relaxed slowly.

"Jess thank you. Merlin wouldn't have calmed down without your help."

The male smiled softly as giving him a head ruffle. It was then that the door opened, and he straightened himself. But on the inside, he was freaking out now. So much that he actually was deep in his thoughts. That was until he felt a nudge.

"Merls you did get called."

Oh. His expression turned apologetic now and he saw the three males stare at him. His body fidgeting and the first one who stepped in front of him was Gwaine.

"Big or small?"

He knew instantly what his brother was asking but he still felt really nervous. That nervous that he couldn't answer.

"Small bubble. I guess my sister had intimidated him and adding to him feeling nervous before I guess it had been too much."

Gwaine now had his attention on Jay and giving him a grin which the male returned but soon the attention was back on him.

"Makes sense. You did overthink again, so whose that little friend on your shoulder and arms?"

His expression brightens at the question and he couldn't help but feel giddy now.

"On Merlin's shoulder Ruby. She is really cute and helps Jay and Jess when Merlin feels overwhelmed. She even knows before Merlom ends up into small space. The small cute ball in Merlin's arms is Kuribo. He as well can feel Merlin's emotions."

He explains and Gwaine ruffled his hair. God he missed him so that he put Kuribo back on his head and going for a hug to the male.

"Glad to see that you are alright."

A new voice said which was Mordred and he couldn't help but feel his body now relax as soon as his brother hugged him back.

"Merlin had so much fun with the two. They are really cool and help me out so much."

By now the hug left and Arthur smiled softly now. At least he was now more relaxed.

"No hug for me?"

Arthur tilted his head and he blinked and walking up and hugging the other male. It was just that he had been worried, but it seemed that he hadn't needed to worry. The male hugged him tightly and he felt his body relax instantly.

"I am sorry. Should have listened to you. But I heard a female voice asking for help and Merlin really thought that she needed help, but it was Anastacia. She lured Merlin in and there was someone else with her..."

Arthur hugged him even tighter and he felt his body relax soon again.

"But don't harm her, please. It was just jealousy and she get enough punishment."

A sigh was coming, and the hug left, but an arm was still around him. There had been a silence and he felt his cheeks heat up.

"Fine, she's lucky that you don't want this, or I would have really considerate it."

A sigh was escaping not just from him but from his new made friend and the parents as well.

"Can we go to my room now? Jess told me that there something waiting, and I can't wait any longer."

His eyes looked up to his boyfriend and he saw him let out a sigh and nodding. Merlin wasn't even waiting for the others and just taking his hands and starting to drag him outside.

"So how are the people in this palace? Did they treat you well?"

Now he walked a bit slower and a bright smile was on his lips. This week had been the most nervous, exciting yet as well relaxing.

"It was awesome. They were really kind to me. Jess and Jay in particular. They even watched over me and were really protective. Oh, and there are other crystal beasts which belong to Jess. They are like a family and I had two days ago my small day, so I ended up staying in bed..."

He continued to ramble about everything that happened, and Arthur chuckled.

"Good to see that you had a good week then. I will try to make an alliance with them then."

His eyes widen now, and he beamed at Arthur as tacking him into a hug. This was awesome so they could come more often to Camelot and he could visit them as well.

"Holy poop. I love you so much right now. Now they can visit way more often and we can visit them from time to time."

The male hugged back and chuckled now. This was really cool, and he was feeling excited to hear this.

"Love you too, my cute warlock."

Cheeks flushed at this and his heart fluttered at this. God, he loved Arthur so much. They left the hug and continued holding hands. The servants and maids bowed and greeting them, which he greeted back. Arthur as well and soon they were in front of his room.

"There we go. I wonder what is in there. Like they told me that have something in my room."

He stood there for a few more minutes and was zoning out as he was thinking about what this could be.

"Merls did you end up zoning out again?"

This made him come back to reality to see now Jay, Jess, Mordred and Gwaine looking amused at him.

"Oh. I am sorry I just was in my mind."

A nervous giggle escaped as he rubbed the back of the head. Then he opened his door and a blur of white flown straight into him. So that he ended up falling on his butt with a startled yelp.

"Yip!"

His eyes looked down now just to see a small white dog with wings. The dog was really tiny and could probably fit in his palms. They also look really fluffy. The dog yipped again and wagged its tail. Eyes widen at first and soon he pets the fluffy fur.

"Wait is this the surprise you wanted me to have?"

His head turned now towards the grinning males and the two looked pleased now.

"Wasn't my idea but Jay's. The male had asked the crystal beast to find someone for you as well. It took them a week. The little guys name is snow."

Hello I am snow, nice ta meet ya.

He beamed and looking down first and then back up. This was awesome and now he his own little animal friend.

"Thank you so much."

Hello as well. I am Merlin or Emrys.

A yip this time came as an answer and it seemed that the two others knew what was going on. He was beaming and picking up the little dog into his arms.

"Was no problem, Em. Let's go. I am sure that Arthur and Merlin have some things to discuss."

"Glad to know that you got friends with Snow."

With this the two left but not without dragging both Mordred and Gwaine away. Now that he was being alone with Arthur, it made him nervous. As he knew what Jay meant. So that he bit his lips but walking into the room. Arthur was following him into the room.

"So what did he mean that we have some things to discuss? Did something happen?"

A sigh escaped, and he sat down on his bed, and Arthur as well. He wasn't sure how he should tell him, but lucky he was a bit calmer as he had snow with him. Merlin absent minded petting the dog.

"I did hide something from you."

Voice barely hearable and the nervousness was heard. Eyes not looking at Arthur but darting around.

"And what would that be?"

Arthur sounded calm and reassuring as he felt him sat down and putting an arm around him. His eyes still weren't looking at Arthur at all.

"Merlin didn't want to burden this up on you. Because Merlin knows how busy you are..."

His voice was guilty, and he still wasn't looking at Arthur. The male next to him was not saying anything and he waited patiently for him to continue to talk.

"Mommy thinks that Merlin liking the same gender is wrong and that is probably why Mommy has sent Merlin to Camelot."

His lip quivered again and he felt Snow snuggle deeper in him and he felt tears built up now.

"It's not wrong. Your mother is wrong, and you should have told me. Now at least I know why you never mentioned much of your mother and why she looked strangely at me when I came to help in Ealdor with that Kanen person."

He nodded but not saying anything. By now he leaned into the touch and a yip was heard. His head went down to see Snow give him a reassuring look.

Don't worry, even when everyone is against you- I will stay your friend. I am sure that the crystal beasts, Kuribo and their masters would never betray you.

Lips twitched up and he couldn't help but feel grateful for his new made friend.

"Thank you, Merlin loves you so much."

This time a bigger smile was on his lips and Arthur blinked and softly smiled back. A hair ruffle was given, which made his cheeks feel slightly hot.

Thank you, Snowie. You are the best.

Another yip was given as answer and he knew that Snow was understanding what he meant.

"I guess I know now what you hid. How about we just cuddle?"

He beamed now, and snow flown on one of the pillows and the two ended up cuddling with each other. They talked with each other but at some point, he was lulled asleep by the calm and steady heartbeat and the familiar smell of Arthur. There was as well the fact that he felt safe and protected.
