Yosano Akiko // Sho Ho
Yosano was going for a quick supply run. They had run out of bandages and other medical supplies, so Yosano, as the responsible doctor she is, decided to go get them while some of the others are on a mission with the Port Mafia(Specifically Atsushi and Akutagawa). She knows for a fact that once they(Atsushi) come back, they're gonna need some, whether it be for a small or a large injury.
As she walked the streets of Yokohama, she felt something shift in the air. Soon, it felt as though something had been taken from her soul, before a cold glacier feeling came over her and that missing part was restored. It was sudden and made Yosano freeze in place to contemplate what had just happened.
A pain then shot threw her body. It wasn’t overly painful, but it was enough to make her drop her bag of medical supplies. She felt her body weight almost double, making it impossible to move before a bright, blinding lavender purple light took her over.
When she came to, she was on her knees on the street. People were nowhere to be seen, as the people of Yokohama knew better than to watch as an Ability went haywire. Only the occasional bystander running away or hiding in shops and alleyways were to be seen.
Yosano looked around and found her bag of medical supplies. It had spilled, but nothing had broken or opened, luckily. She went to grab them, but she felt something akin to feathers graze against her back. She heard a large flap; it reminded her of a bird, but it was far too loud to be one. She turned her head slowly to only be met with light golden feathered wings to the face.
The wing slapped her across the face. She held her cheek with one hand and looked back at the wings with an annoyed and offended expression that quickly dropped. Her eyes were met with a skull, though it still had long curly hair, somehow.
Yosano was still on her knees as she looked at the being before her. Its body was a skeleton; it had some muscle and tissue, but its gray skin and body seemed almost transparent as you could see the bones within it all. The only true skin, tissue, and muscle was on its body, its face had none. Its face was a full-on skull that somehow seemed to move with emotion just as a regular human face would. It, somehow, had a full head of medium-length curly purple hair in a half-up, half-down ponytail style. It wore a large, oversized black haori with white details on it over a white and light purple Kimono. Large light golden wings located on its back, with a light golden halo around its? Her? Head to match and finish the whole ‘Angel’ theme.
The, female? Skeleton looked at Yosano with an expression that could be translated as shock or fear. It was hard to tell with the lack of eyes and actual skin. Expressions couldn’t be easily taken or seen from a skull, even if it was able to react like a human face. The skeleton shook its head and stood up, brushing any dust off its kimono and haori. Checking over its wings to make sure nothing had gone wrong before extending a hand to the still sitting Yosano. Yosano took it hesitantly, and the skeleton helped her up before speaking.
-”I… I don’t know what to say. I’ve wanted to talk to you… And I’ve always wanted to meet you… All our life in fact, but now that I’m truly able to, I can't find the words to say…”
The skeleton spoke. Why was she speaking like Yosano and her have met before, or like she knew Yosano? And “Our” life? What does she mean by this?
-”My apologies; you’re probably confused.”
The skeleton said as she bowed to Yosano. She could tell from Yosano’s expression that she was confused.
-”My name is Mei. I am known to you as Thou Shalt Not Die. I am your ability.”
Yosano’s mouth was agape as the skeleton, now known as Mei, straightened herself. She was tall, maybe around 6’5 " or 6’4 ". And she towered over Yosano. Yosano shook her head, ignoring the intimidating height difference.
-”Wait, what? If you’re my ability, how are you, mm?”
She then gestured to all of Mei. Mei gave a small, hearted chuckle.
-”I’m not quite sure how I acquired a physical form myself. It shouldn't be possible.”
Yosano grabbed her bags and placed any supplies that had fallen out back into the bags. She stood back up and gestured for Mei to follow her. Mei noticed this and did as told.
-”I think Dazai-San might have something to do with this. That glacier blue light and the cold chill that ran through my body kinda gave it away. But he isn’t even near me as far as I know, nor did he touch me, so how is it possible…”
Yosano said as she held her chin with her hand in a contemplating manner. A classic anime thinking pose, if you will. Mei listened as Yosano spoke. Despite this very awkward situation, Yosano seemed quite… Comfortable with Mei. She also believed her without a second thought. Was it because they were somehow and somewhat connected due to Mei's being her ability? They both were unsure on this matter.
