Kunikida Doppo // Tetsuo Doppo
Kunikida was on a solo mission for once. He WAS supposed to have Dazai here with him for this case, but he seemed to have disappeared randomly. Kunikida hated it when he did that. Kunikida had dealt with half of the case; the physical part was done, and once he found Dazai, he was going to make him do all the paperwork! So then Dazai could do the other half. An eye for an eye, as they say, it was only even.
Kunikida already gave the lowly thugs to the police after a fair beating. Now he just had to get back to the agency and. Maybe… Try and find his partner along the way… Suddenly, the air changed, and Kunikida felt a sharp pain in his chest. It disappeared after only a second or two after happening, but it felt as though something had disappeared with it. It felt as though something was missing.
Glacier blue lit up the warehouse he was in. He knew this light, it was Dazai’s ability. Though when Kunikida looked around, Dazai was nowhere to be seen.
-”What?”
Kunikida was barely able to mutter before his body lit up with a lime green light. When he opened his eyes, nothing seemed off. He looked around and saw nothing near him, not even Dazai.
-”How was this possible? Dazai-Sans' ability works with direct contact to either the ability or its user…”
Kunikida thought to himself as he stood up. A voice then called out.
-”Oi! Watch it!”
Kunikida was startled. He looked behind him where the voice was sounding like it was coming from. But he saw nothing.
-”Down here Kunikida-Hakase...”
Kunikida did as he was told, and his eyes were met with a small being with a very desaturated green skin colour and large elf-like ears. No, they were more reminiscent of a dog's large droopy ears; perhaps those dog ears mixed with an elf was a good description.
-”Are you an alien?!”
He spoke dumbfounded as he stumbled back a bit. The little being looked at him like he was an idiot while also looking like he just said the most offensive thing known to man. For all Kunikida knew, he could’ve.
-”You’re joking. Right?”
The little alien walked closer to Kunikida. Before a book materialized in its hand, it threw the book at Kunikida. Smacking him directly in the face.
-”My name is Kanaru! I am your ability, you IDIOT!”
The small alien, now introduced as Kanaru, spoke. Well, it was more closely related to a yell, instead. Kunikida stumbled back as he looked at the book. It was his book, his ideal book, his ability! However, Kunikida was still skeptical.
-”How am I supposed to know you’re my ability? You didn’t look like this during the Dead Apple incident! If you even are my ability that is.”
Kanaru looked… Even more offended.
-”I just summoned OUR soul energy!? And you DARE questioned whether I’M your ability or not?! And that stupid “Dragon’s breath” or whatever made us try and kill you guys. Which is stupid because if our holders die, we die, so it was nowhere near accurate.”
Kanaru said as he crossed his arms, foot tapping the ground vigorously. It reminded Kunikida of himself, somewhat.
-”Incredible…”
Kunikida murmured as he walked towards the very small Kanaru. He was no taller than maybe 4'11 ft. The 6 ‘0 ft Kunikida towered over his ability before picking the small Ability up by the back of its shirt collar as if he were a mother cat picking up its kitten. Kanaru flailed around and protested heavily.
Once Kanaru stopped flailing around, Kunikida got a proper look at his ability. Kanaru was in a very nice gold and black two-piece suit, the sleeves rolled up, and not to mention, with a white tie around his neck. Not to mention the giant gold bow on the back of what seemed to be a less suffocating and painful corset. He had circular glasses, the rims seemed to be made of golden or at least coloured that way. He wore black gloves and had a golden watch to match the rest of his outfit. Though, Kanaru’s hair looked almost the same as Kunikida's; if it weren’t for the greenish tint to the colour of Kanaru’s hair, it would practically be the same. Kunikida finally looked at Kanaru’s eyes; they were a bright green and what you would call “Doe eyes” as they were very wide and open. To add to all this, they looked very feminine as well. The sclera of them was pitch black, and the pupils were pure white.
-”Are you a woman?”
Kunikida asked skeptically as he stared at Kanaru curiously.
-”What?! No! My name and voice are both masculine! How much of an idiot are you?!”
Kanaru very aggressively “asked”, clearly offended. He pinched the bridge of his nose before escaping Kunikida’s grasp and kicking him in the shins. Causing Kunikida to jump around multiple times on one foot as he held his other leg's shin.
-”Now let's get going! I’d like to get to Yoko-Kun to figure out what she did since she very clearly used her Soul Energy.”
Kunikida stopped holding his shin and just followed the small elf creature that was his ability. He had no idea what was happening or who this “Yoko” character was, but his Ability seemed like it knew where it was going, so Kunikida would follow it.
