what do you usually do to help?
padfoot: usually,Marlene has to force me to sit down then sit on me.

we stay there until i feel better.

i'm currently in the changing rooms.

Remus had been back and forth texting James all day and when his mum pulled up outside of the school,there he stood with a beaming smile on his face,ready to greet them both."Moonster!" James called,walking over to Hope's car,where Hope was helping Remus out of the car while Lily and Mary grabbed their bags,along with Remus'.Remus laughed and slid his arm into his crutch before securing the other one in."Hey,mate.Alright?" Remus asked and James nodded,smiling at both Remus and Hope."girls" James greeted them both with a polite smile to which they both returned."Okay,have fun and please be careful!" hope stressed as she looked at Remus with worry filled eyes."Don't worry Mrs Lupin,i'll take very good care of him" James smiled politely and Hope smiled back."I know you will,honey.Thank you" she spoke before turning to Remus again."Bye,sweetheart.I love you" she pulled Remus' face down gently so she could press kiss to his cheek."i love you too,mum" Remus smiled before following James,who waved at Hope with an enthusiastic goodbye,into the massive school.
They walked through the entry way,following the small groups of people filtering through.Since James was captain of the team,he was free to do as he pleased,or so he liked to think.So when Remus arrived 10 minutes before the game started to avoid Sirius who was watching the growing crowd like a hawk,James simply walked away and out of the school,waiting by the entrance.
Sirius was stretching when Remus and James walked onto the field.James was tall,maybe about 6 foot, but with Remus standing beside him at atleast 6'2 it was pretty hard to hide him.But somehow,with Sirius being distracted by his warm up,they managed to get Remus into a seat right on the front row,resting his crutches on the floor infront of his feet,Lily and Mary sat on each of his sides.
"Okay,now for the hard part,discreetly tell Sirius to look over here without shouting 'look there's moony!' what the hell am i meant to say?" James laughed and Remus smiled,watching his boyfriend who was stretching while laughing with a blonde haired girl that Remus guessed was Marlene."Why don't you just say that you recognise him but don't know where from and ask if he knows?" Mary suggested while pointing at Remus."ah Mary you are a genius! thank you! be right back" James yelled as he began jogging towards where Sirius had given up on stretching and was now sat on the grass, drinking some water.
James finally reached Sirius,acting natural as he sat down opposite him,facing the direction that Remus sat in while pretending to look around."Alright,mate? you look confused" Sirius frowned and James turned his attention back to Sirius as opposed to where he was fake frowning at Remus."Oh yeah,i don't know i recognise that boy in the front row but i don't know where from? do you know him?" James asked,pointing over at Remus with a confused frown on his face.Sirius stood up before squinting,a frown on his face as he looked across the front row.When his eyes finally got to the middle of the row,directly where Remus sat,Sirius froze,his frown disappearing, a smile instantly replacing it.
Before Remus knew it,Sirius was sprinting towards him at full speed,a beaming grin on his face."Moony!" Sirius yelled as he got closer to Remus.Remus laughed and held his hands out to stop Sirius by placing his hands on his stomach.Sirius immediately placed his hands on top of Remus' with a grin on his face.Remus laughed, looking up at Sirius."Hi" he spoke and as soon as he did,Sirius wrapped his arms around remus' neck, sitting himself down on Remus' good leg, holding him tight into him.Remus' smile widened as he buried his face into Sirius' shoulder.
"what the hell are you doing here?" Sirius asked excitedly,pulling away from the hug but keeping one of his arms around Remus' neck,with the other he placed a hand on Remus' chest.Remus laughed,looking at Sirius who still sat on Remus with his legs inbetween Remus', careful not to knock his bad leg."I thought i'd surprise you." Remus shrugged and Sirius looked over at James who stood beside him,infront of Remus."You knew about this" Sirius kicked his leg out,aiming for James' shin but James luckily managed to move just in time."i did" he nodded and Sirius turned back to Remus."That's who you were texting! it wasn't your mum it was James! i knew there was something going on! You were acting all shady and shit" Sirius rambled, eventually being cut off by the sound of a whistle blowing.
Sirius looked at Remus who placed a hand on Sirius' thigh."guess i can give you your good luck kiss after all?" Remus smiled "hell yeah you can" Sirius replied before instantly pulling Remus' face into his with both hands on his jaw."Black,Potter! if you're not over here in the next 10 seconds i'll have you both in detention for the rest of the week!!" Sirius pulled away from Remus,huffing in annoyance at the interruption although he had already broken enough of the team's rules today and he definitely didn't have enough room for another detention."Got to go,See you at half time! Hi girls! okay,i really gotta go! love you,bye!" Sirius rambled as he began walking backwards away from Remus, Mary and Lily."love you too,Good luck!" Remus called back and watched as James and Sirius sprinted over to their team, apologising to the coach."god he really is just a ball of chaotic energy" Mary joked and the three of them laughed, watching as James and Sirius argued, shoving each others shoulders playfully."oh yes" Remus laughed.
Remus didn't usually liked rugby but when it was Sirius Black playing,oh how he loved it.Remus watched as Sirius sprinted up the pitch, dodging the other team and occasionally tackling a member of the Slytherins.Which was Super hot in Remus' opinion but he may be a little biased.But what Remus did notice was a member of the opposing team who happened to look exactly like Sirius, if it wasn't for the height difference,Sirius being slightly taller and the obvious different in their builds,Remus would have thought they were the same person. However, everytime Sirius interacted with the boy, he was throwing side remarks or receiving them, while glaring at the smaller boy.
And Remus watched how Sirius was brutally tackled by a boy much bigger than him from the opposing team, the name Crouch was splayed on the back of the other boy's kit as he slammed Sirius down onto the ground.Sirius let out a 'oof' before standing straight up and stepping towards the boy.Thankfully,James had seen this coming and immediately pulled Sirius away, the pair of them scowling at the other boy and mumbling between them.This happened throughout the whole game,Sirius being tackled by every single member of the other team, even if he didn't have the ball which Remus was now getting that it was definitely personal.
The whistle blew, signalling that it was half time and Sirius pulled himself off of the ground, standing up and slamming his hands against the chest of the boy who had just sent him crashing to the ground.He shoved the boy hard enough that he landed on the ground before yelling at him as James dragged him off of the pitch."Fuck off,Rosier" he yelled, his fists clenched at his sides as James' hand curled tighter around his bicep.
Sirius pulled off his shirt, walking away from the other team, wiping his face with his shirt.James made him drink some water and managed to calm him down a bit before ushering him to go see Remus and the others."I'm going to knock him out, stupid prick" Sirius grumbled as he walked with James over to where Remus sat.
Remus could tell Sirius was angry, the way his hands were clenched into tight fists and a scowl was set on his face as Sirius and James reached Remus who was already stood with one of his crutches,waiting.Sirius looked at him as he reached him, his jaw clenched and Remus felt as though he could cry seeing this happen to Sirius, being targeted like he was the only one on the team."Come here" he whispered as Sirius stepped forwards.Sirius wrapped his arms around Remus' waist and buried his face into his chest,one of Remus' arms wrapping around Sirius,the other holding himself up with his crutch.Sirius sighed deeply, the frustration slowly disappearing as he relaxed into Remus' arms.
The second half of the game started and Sirius stuck with James at first, the pair of them working together to win the game.That was until James was sent to the floor after being tackled by Mulciber.James coughed as he layed on the floor, pushing Mulciber off of him.Sirius stormed over with a furious look on his face before grabbing Mulciber and yanking him up off the floor. "Fuck off" Sirius grumbled and pushed Mulciber away from him before moving to help James up off the floor."alright,mate?" Sirius asked,placing a hand on James' shoulder."They're really starting to piss me off" James replied,his eyes scanning the smug faces of the slytherins."look at his smug little face" Sirius scoffed before moving to the centre line.The ball rested on the floor and Sirius came face to face with Barty Crouch Jr, otherwise known as Regulus Black's best friend."Alright Black? saw you hugging your boyfriend.Are we making you sad?" Barty mocked and Sirius smirked,glaring right at Barty."Tell my brother that if he would like to insult me, i suggest he grows a pair of balls and says it to my face rather than have his idiot minions do it for him" as soon as Sirius finished talking, being cut off immediately by the starting whistle, he swiped the ball up off the grass and set off sprinting down the field.
Sirius lasted 20 minutes without being tackled again, finding ways to dodge and trick each one of the players who tried.And of course,because things can never just go his way, As Sirius sprinted down the field he was met by Barty crouch who,out of nowhere,tackled him viciously to the floor, pinning him down."Guess i'm not so stupid now huh? Awh what are you gonna do? Go crying to your pathetic little boyfriend? Remus was it? all because i made you upset? oh boohoo-" Barty yelled out in Pain as Sirius headbutted him straight in the nose.
The crowd gasped as Sirius flipped himself on top of Barty,landing a punch to his jaw,followed by a second.Barty fought back, managing to punch Sirius in the nose.Sirius yelled at Barty as James pulled Sirius off of him,leaving Barty on the ground,shouting back at Sirius."keep his name out of your mouth,crouch" Sirius yelled,still being pulled away by James.
The game ended,Sirius had been benched and made to watch the remaining 10 minutes,his fists clenched at his sides,his head hanging down.The gryffindors won,meaning they won the whole tournament and yet Sirius couldn't bring himself to be excited.
Remus,Lily and Mary made their way over before the crowd could leave,to avoid Remus getting knocked over or hurt."hey" Remus spoke but his eyes widened as Soon as Sirius lifted his head up.His nose was still bleeding, dripping blood down his chin and a dark red cut sat across his eyebrow."Jesus,Sirius" Remus gasped, bending forwards slightly to hold Sirius' face in his Hands."i'm fine.I promise" Sirius gave him a small smile but Remus was already calling James over.
"James.Take him to get his face sorted and do not let him tell you he's fine" Remus spoke firmly and James nodded.Sirius rolled his eyes and Remus turned back to him,Placing a kiss against Sirius' cheek and watching as they walked away,the pair of them still mumbling about the game.
A knock on the door brought Sirius' attention away from his blood stained hands and towards the door."come in" he called,dropping his head back down and letting the blood continue dripping from his nose."hi" a small voice called and Sirius looked up to see Remus stood in the doorway.Sirius gave him a tired smile and Remus closed the door behind him,making his way over to sit beside Sirius.
"i hate him" Sirius whispered,his head down as he stared at his hands once again."who?" Remus asked softly and Sirius looked up,placing his tissue in Remus' outstretched palm."my brother" he mumbled,allowing Remus to dab away the blood that was dripping from his nose."ah" Remus nodded,grabbing a new tissue from beside Sirius.
"When i was 14,i ran away from home to go Live with James and his family.My parents had beaten me pretty bad and i decided i had finally had enough.I couldn't take it anymore" Sirius explained,his voice low."I watched as my brother stood,watching as my father beat me, he didn't say a word.And so when i left, he turned against me.Big time" He finished, finally looking up at Remus who was dabbing at Sirius' bloody eyebrow.
"and that's why they were all targeting you?" Remus guessed and Sirius huffed a laugh."Yup.My brother gets his minions to spend the whole game slamming me to the floor while he stands there smirking at me" Sirius shrugged,watching Remus intently.
Instead of saying anything,Remus wrapped his arms around Sirius' neck,pulling him into a tight hug."i love you so much" Remus whispered and Sirius couldn't help but allow the tears to fall down his cheeks."i love you too.So much" Sirius whispered back and Remus squeezed him tighter."i'm so sorry you had to go through that" Remus pulled away,holding Sirius' face in his hands."it's alright,i'm used to it.Just hurts a bit more from him,i guess" Sirius shrugged and Remus frowned."But you shouldn't have to put up with those dickheads" Sirius smiled at Remus,a tired smile.
The two hugged for a while longer until Sirius complained about Remus squeezing him too tight and cutting off his oxygen."Are you staying for a bit?" Sirius asked,watching intently as Remus wiped the blood from Sirius' knuckles gently."is that allowed?" Remus asked and Sirius smirked."would it stop you if it wasn't?" Sirius asked and Remus smiled,looking down at Sirius who sat infront of him."Hm...not really"
The four boys sat in the dorm room,James and Peter having met both Sirius and Remus there aswell as Lily and Mary who were following Remus."Hey! that's not fair!" Sirius yelled and James doubled over laughing,clutching his stomach."And then- then he tried to walk up the stairs but very clearly missed the step and boom, he's just...on the floor" James spoke through his laughter,enjoying every second of telling embarrassing stories about Sirius.
"i'll tell them.I'll tell them all about the rugby match back in July" Sirius threatened and James went quiet immediately."oh come on you can't leave it on that note" Mary complained and James sighed covering his face with his hands. "Come on,tell us" Lily joined in and Sirius laughed at James who was bright red."You tell that story Sirius and i will tell them about Christmas day of 4th year" James threatened,a smile on his face and Sirius paused before laughing."Okay,we're done telling stories" Sirius laughed and the other joined in.
The afternoon consisted of board games and story telling as the 6 of them sat on the boys dorm room floor.Remus was sat in between Sirius' legs,his back against his boyfriends chest as his head layed back against his shoulder.Remus had been asleep for about 30 minutes,still wrapped up in Sirius' rugby hoodie in which he had arrived in.
"oh,Hope's here.She's just text" Lily announced from where she sat with Mary."Wake him up,will you?" Lily asked,gesturing to Remus as she looked at Sirius.Sirius nodded,putting his phone down on the floor beside him.
"Moons,you gotta get up now.Your mums here" Sirius whispered as he stroked Remus' cheek gently with his thumb.Remus stirred,setting back against Sirius even more to which Sirius laughed quietly."Remus.Your mums here" He repeated with a soft smile and Remus sighed,opening his eyes and rubbing at them harshly.
"i don't want to go.I'm comfy" Remus whispered,closing his eyes again with a smile."Come on" Sirius laughed and Began sitting up straight,forcing Remus to do the same.Sirius helped Remus off of the floor and handed him his crutches.
The six of them walked down to the enterance,careful not to get caught by teachers for having non students in after game time.They made it out and over to Hopes car where she greeted everyone with a warm smile before helping Lily and Mary with the bags.
Remus handed Hope his crutches,putting most of his weight into his good leg before turning back to Sirius.Remus sighed and wrapped his arms around Sirius' neck,resting his cheek on top of Sirius' hair."text me when you're home?" Sirius asked and Remus smiled."of course" He replied and the two stayed there for a minute more before Remus pulled away.
Sirius placed his hands on Remus' cheeks,pulling him into a quick goodbye kiss before helping him over to the car."Love you" Sirius smiled as he stood by the open car door."Love you too" Remus replied,smiling at Sirius as he shut the car door.
Hope gave Sirius a tight,warm hug while thanking him for being so good to Remus,to which Sirius replied "he deserves the world and more".Sirius gave her one last smile before walking towards James and Peter.The three boys waved everyone off before sneakily making their way back to their dorm.
