"PADFOOT!" "OW!"
The boys had been home for a day before they began pestering Effie and Monty to let them have a birthday party for James.The school was closed for two weeks because of some sort of electrical problem or something,who knows honestly they were just excited to be at home for James' birthday this year.Which is why at 6am on a Saturday Morning,the morning of James' birthday, Sirius made sure to wake him up in the loudest,most annoying way possible.Sirius didn't particularly want to be up this early during the break but for him to wake James up it had to be before James' usual wake up time of 7am.

"he did it" The two boys pointed at eachother before beginning to argue about who actually started it,the argument ending when Effie told them both the shut it."Now,do you want to explain why you're drenched" Effie started,pointing at James who tried his best to contain his laughter "and why you're holding you're hand like that" Effie frowned as she took Sirius' hand in hers as the two boys burst out laughing."he soaked me!" James pointed an accusatory finger at Sirius who gasped and pointed a finger at James,from the hand Effie was not inspecting "he kicked me!" Effie sighed and grabbed James' wrist in her other hand as she began pulling them into the kitchen,muttering something about "you bloody boys".
"you're dad will be down soon he's just sorting something" Effie spoke softly as she gently dried her sons hair with a towel."so what did we learn this morning?" Effie spoke with a quite chuckle as she stared at the pair.James sat on the breakfast table with his head bowed down so Effie could reach his hair and Sirius stood beside James' leg,the two of them watching Sirius' phone."Not to wake James up with a cup of water,the bugger will break your fingers!!" Sirius joked and James laughed "i didnt mean to!!" The three of them laughed as Effie tried her best to contain her son's hair,scrunching her hands through it and coiling pieces around her fingers,or atleast attempting to.
The four of them sat in the living room,watching as James opened his presents,thanking them all with a hug,or more of a tackle for Sirius after he got him the new rugby boots he had been dying for."Alright get off me,you big softy" Sirius laughed,pushing James off from where he layed on top of him on the floor,after practically tackling him.
The day was pretty busy from then on,the boys spent the morning at home with Monty,having breakfast and talking before he had to leave for work.Next,Effie rounded them up and took the pair to the hospital (she insisted on getting Sirius' fingers checked,even after he said he was fine).
"i told you,you weren't fine.That must hurt" Effie worried,once they were back in the car and driving to the shops."I'm fine.I promise" Sirius laughed,looking at his taped up fingers where James had broken his middle and ring finger."it's just some broken fingers,happens all the time in Rugby" Sirius shrugged and Effie sighed,rolling her eyes fondly.Once shopping was out the way and both boys had something to wear for James' party,the three of them went to the store for them to pick out some snacks for the table at the party.

"hey,babe" Sirius smiled tiredly,as Remus' face came into view on his screen."oh,sorry did i wake you?" Remus asked and Sirius smiled,rubbing at his eyes."it's alright,we were just napping.Energy crash" Remus laughed quietly and Sirius gently kicked James in the stomach from where they were both layed on either end of the sofa."ow" James whispered before opening his eyes and frowning at Sirius."say hi to Moony" Sirius smiled before throwing his phone for James to catch,even though they were on the same sofa."oh,hi moony.Alright mate?" James yawned and Remus nodded."Oh my god,Moony guess how your arsehole of a boyfriend woke me up this morning! he drenched me!! threw a glass of water over me!" James gasped and Sirius sat up taking the phone off of James and bringing his face into view."Then the bastard broke my fingers!!" Sirius yelled and Remus was laughing now "language!" Effie shouted and Sirius shouted a "sorry,mum!" back to her before laughing with Remus and James.
"well,are you alright?" Remus asked and Sirius let out an loud 'oof' as James flopped down ontop of him to put his face into the camera."i'm fine Moony thanks for asking" he spoke with an innocent smile on his face."Watch the fingers!" Sirius yelled followed by a muttered "dickhead" to which James laughed and stood up."oh moony! you're coming to my party right?" James asked,standing beside the sofa and bending to put his face into the camera."Yeah,of course" Remus nodded and James cheered before leaving to go get dressed.
"sorry about that,what did you ring for,anything in particular or just to see my goregous face?" Sirius winked and Remus rolled his eyes."I have a question,though your face is a nice added bonus" Remus joked and Sirius laughed."Okay,what the hell am i meant to wear? i never go to parties,i left school and when Lily or Mary have parties we just stay in pyjamas and watch movies?!" Remus asked and Sirius smiled,watching as Remus had set up his phone and started rummaging through his clothes."just wear like a jumper and jeans,or something?" Sirius suggested,though he has to say he wasn't paying too much attention,instead his attention was on the shirtless figure of his boyfriend through the screen.
"hello? Sirius,are you even listening to me?" Remus laughed and Sirius blinked before smirking at Remus."what?" Remus asked,a confused look on my face."Remus Lupin,you have abs!!" Sirius yelled,a smie on his face as Remus laughed and Rolled his eyes,flipping Sirius off through the camera."wow,you look like some kind of god.I'm swooning" Sirius smirked,a dramatic hand on his forehead."okay,drama queen.Now can you please answer my question instead of staring at me" Remus spoke with a smile and Sirius shrugged jokingly."i'm falling in love...again" Sirius winked and Remus laughed,picking up the camera and moving towards his wardrobe."pay attention or i'm putting a shirt on" Remus raised his eyebrows and Sirius clamped his mouth shut."i'm paying attention now" Sirius smiled making Remus laugh."i hate you" he laughed,pulling a jumper out of his wardrobe."you love me and you know it...anyways carry on i promise i'm listening" Sirius stood up,answering Remus' questions as he walks into James' room.
"god everyones got their shirts off,i feel left out" Sirius joked as he walked past James who was in the middle of getting changed and grabbed his new clothes out of the shopping bag."i don't even want to know" James laughed and Sirius gasped."get your head out of the gutter,prongs.I'm helping Remus pick an outfit because i obviously have amazing taste" Sirius winked and James laughed,pulling his shirt over his head."what in boys or clothes?" James joked and Sirius barked a laugh."both" Sirius winked into the camera and Remus smiled,shaking his head."hey prongs,did you know Moony's got abs" Sirius smirked and James shrugged."no need to be jealous padfoot" James smiled at Remus who was laughing to himself."i'm not being jealous,i'm being gay" Sirius brought up a hand and slapped James up the back of his head as he laughed.
Once he had finally gotten his clothes and gotten changed,Sirius stood in the mirror,fixing his already perfect hair."why are you doing your hair again? you did it this morning?" Remus asked from where he was now layed in his bed,Sirius' phone propped up infront of him so they could still see eachother."it needs fixing" Sirius spoke,distracted as he focused on his hair."looks perfect to me" Remus shrugged,watching as Sirius focused on the mirror."Moony,are you flirting with me?" Sirius smirked,looking down at his phone just in time to catch Remus rolling his eyes."hey! i saw that" Sirius pouted and Remus laughed."sorry,love.I'm just saying,it already looks good" Sirius finished the last bit of his hair which was literally just brushed and sat how it usually did."you have to say that,you're my boyfriend" Sirius smiled,moving back into his room."Sirius.I've seen you with you're mouth open,drooling and hair messier than my life while sleeping.It looks perfect so shut your mouth" Sirius burst out laughing,followed by Remus .
The pair were layed talking when Effie shouted Sirius downstairs,after the first person arrived."are you sure you don't need us to pick you up?" Sirius asked as he walked down the stairs."no,my mum's gonna drop me off on the way to work,so i'll be there in like 20 minutes,I think we're bringing Lily and Mary with us aswell." Remus replied,watching as Sirius nodded."hi Remus" Remus smiled and waved as Marlene pushed her head into the camera before going over to James."Okay,i'll see you soon.Love you" Sirius smiled and watched as Remus smiled softly into the camera."love you too,bye" the call ended and Sirius slipped his phone into his pocket before making his way into the kitchen.
"hi,love" Effie smiled,giving Sirius a side hug as she stirred her tea."hey" Sirius accepted the hug,watching as she finished making her tea."Is Remus sure he doesn't need a lift? tell him not to be shy,i'll pick him up if he needs it" Effie spoke,sternly but gently and Sirius laughed softly."He's alright.His mum's dropping him off soon" Sirius replied and Effie nodded."he's a sweet boy isn't he?" she smiled and Sirius couldn't help the grin forming on his lips."he certainly is" he nodded and Effie placed a kiss on his cheek."i'll be back down to get the pizza out of the oven in about 10 minutes and then Monty and I are going out for some food,okay?" Sirius nodded and watched as she walked away,making her way upstairs.

Remus arrived 5 mintes later,Lily and Mary walking in beside him into the Potter's house."hey guys!" James shouted cheerily as he made his way over to them.He gave each of them a hug and brought them into the living room."that's Marlene" James spoke,pointing to the girl who sat chucking popcorn up into the air and catching it in her mouth."hi" she smiled,waving at the three of them before going back to throwing her popcorn into her mouth."erm,that's Peter but you all know him anyways.And obviously me and Sirius,which i actually don't know where he is?" James laughed and told them to make themselves at home.
A few minutes later,there had still been no sign of Sirius.The group had been sat in the living room,now talking and laughing together until there was a yell coming from upstairs."OW! FUCK" Sirius' voice rang through the house followed by the "Sorry! i'm okay!" he yelled to Effie after she probably told him off for swearing.It took a few minutes before Sirius came downstairs holding his hand into his chest."i hate you" Sirius frowned as he pointed at James who smiled at him sheepishly."Sorry" Sirius stood inspecting his hand before turning to where Remus sat on the sofa beside where he stood.He smiled and pressed a kiss to the top of his head,telling him he'd be back in a second.
Once Sirius had helped Effie sort everything out in the kitchen,he made his way back to the living room and over to the armchair that Remus sat in,his crutch on the floor infront of him.It had been about a month since Remus' surgery and he was able to walk with only one crutch now instead of two."no,i got all the blame for that one!" Sirius joined into the conversation that they were all currently having about pranks."yeah only because you ran away,if you'd have just stayed still like pete and i did then you wouldn't have been caught" While James was talking,Sirius moved Remus' hand off of his lap so he could sit down on top of him,his legs sat inbetween Remus'."that is where you're wrong Jamie.As i recall i think i met a certain someone after that prank,no?" Sirius laughed "Actually,you texted a certain someone.We didnt meet until like months later or something" Remus corrected him and Sirius laughed.
The party went on for a few hours,the group laughing and talking together,until James' parents got back.Effie offered to take people home so she took Marlene to her house and then took Lily and Mary to Lily's house.Peter only lived down the street so he said his goodbyes and walked home leaving James,Sirius and Remus in the living room.
"are you staying over Remus,dear?" Effie asked with a soft smile as she straightened up the cushions on the sofa."can you?" Sirius asked,looking up at Remus,still hugging him."i mean,i can ask my mum if she's okay with it?" Sirius nodded and Remus pulled out his phone,texting his mum.The three boys sat in the living room for another 10 minutes talking,until Remus' mum texted back."she said i can,as long as it's okay with Effie" Remus spoke and Sirius nodded,standing up and going to find Effie in the kitchen,Remus and James following behind,having a conversation of their own."Effie,can Remus stay over?" Sirius asked,standing beside her as she washed the dishes."did his mum say it was okay?" she asked and Sirius nodded."of course,then.Just be sensible" she winked at Sirius who went bright red,thanking her and following James and Remus upstairs.
"Night,don't-" "shut your big mouth and go to bed" Sirius cut him off,knowing the context of what he was probably going to say."Night" James laughed and walked into his room.Remus followed Sirius into his room and sat down on his bed."i mean,i don't have any clothes or anything with me" Remus laughed and Sirius smiled,walking over to his wardrobe."erm what do you want?" Sirius asked,picking out his own pyjama bottoms and throwing them onto his bed."just some bottoms or something will be fine" Remus replied while texting his mum.Sirius handed Remus the bottoms and grabbed his own off of his bed.
Sirius walked into the bathroom,leaving the door open as he grabbed a spare toothbrush from his cabinet."i'll put your toothbrush on the side" Sirius shouted as he got changed.Remus walked into the bathroom,Sirius' pyjama bottoms on and grabbed his toothbrush.While Remus was definitely taller than Sirius,Sirius played rugby so he was more muscular which meant the pyjama bottoms hung lower on Remus' hips than they usually would causing Sirius to stare a lot more than he'd admit to.The pair brushed their teeth,Remus laughing and wiping some toothpaste off of the corner of Sirius' mouth with his thumb.
"can't believe i get to see the abs in person,i might faint" Sirius winked as he poked Remus in the ribs making him laugh."i hate you" Remus laughed as they walked back into the bedroom."what? i'm just saying you're hot" Sirius shrugged,laughing as Remus' face went red.Sirius pulled his own shirt off and climbed into bed beside Remus smiling,poking his cheek."i've still got it" Sirius spoke smiling at the blush that sat across Remus' cheeks."i don't like you at all" Remus laughed,pushing Sirius' hand away."not at all? not even a little?" Sirius smiled and Remus tried his best to hide his smile."well,maybe just a little" Sirius laughed and pulled himself closer to Remus,laying down next to him,his head resting on his chest.
"night" Remus whispered,stroking a gentle hand through Sirius' hair."Night Moony" Sirius whispered back,tilting his head up to press a soft kiss against Remus' jaw."i love you" Remus whispered and Sirius sighed happily."i love you too moony"
